For Sunday lunch, we visited Timpano Hyde Park. Since we had made a reservation in advance, we were seated immediately upon arrival. The ambiance and decor of the restaurant was impressive, creating a lively and inviting atmosphere with guests enjoying their meals. Our server, Steven, greeted us and provided menus and water. Unsure about which appetizer to choose, we took his recommendation and ordered the Burrata. For our main courses, we went with: Funghi Crostini, Bucatini, Truffle Trotters. The Burrata arrived first, and it was a standout dish--creamy, flavorful, and complemented perfectly by pistachios, cheese, and bread. It was one of the best appetizers we've had and set a great tone for the meal.Next, our main courses arrived. The Truffle Trotters were a bit underwhelming, and we regretted not choosing Truffle Fries instead. However, the Funghi Crostini and Bucatini were well-prepared, delicious, and served in generous portions.Overall, we enjoyed our experience at Timpano and had a great Sunday afternoon lunch.

I hadn't been back to Timpano since my birthday in 2022, but I decided to return to celebrate my anniversary. The restaurant still has a great romantic vibe and a lively atmosphere on a Friday night. However, the food wasn't as impressive as I remembered, though the service remained excellent. For appetizers, the Wagyu Beef Carpaccio was overwhelmingly salty. The Lobster Arancini wasn't as salty but still wasn't a standout. Thankfully, the entrées were much better. The Bucatini Pesto, part of the farm to table experience, was delicious, and the Veal Parm was solid as well.Overall, Timpano still delivers on ambiance and service, but the food quality seems to have slipped a bit since my last visit.

Brought my niece here for her birthday dinner. First of all, our server Madi was awesome - in fact, all the staff we interacted with were so hospitable. Walking in, the entire place was designed so beautifully, definitely take all the photos/videos you can.As for the food, definitely recommend ordering the MEDITERRANEAN TUNA TARTARE over the WAGYU BEEF CARPACCIO if you're looking for flavor. The BRANZINO was on the smaller side, but it was cooked perfectly. The pasta we ordered was the RADIATORE and it was SO delicious, especially accompanied by the BONELESS RIBEYE and a side of CRISPY BRUSSELS SPROUTS.Would love to come back and try the Parm to Table Experience and the Weekend Brunch menu.

I treated myself to a nice valentines meal and wanted to give Timoano Hyde Park a try. I seen great reviews and food that looked amazing through pictures. Upon entrance, it is nicely decorated with a jungle or Tulum vibe. I love the placement of the restaurant. You are right in the middle of the shopping area. Which has its pros and cons (the parking is not the best). My waitress was nice and sweet also! While waiting, i seen servers cleaning the glasses left on top of the tables. So i would say this place makes sure they present themselves well and make sure items are cleaned for the next group. I ordered the carpaccio. I love Wagyu! This was a good appetizer. It was very flavorful with the truffle oil drizzled on top. I ordered the chili margarita and it was the spiciest margarita I've had but i loved it. I am not too big on sweet drinks. It had a nice balance to level out the sweetness. It was rimmed with tajin and a small chili with chili oil inside for garnish. I then had the meatballs. To me, it was lacking seasoning. But it came out fresh and hot. This is a nice place to bring friends and grab a nice bite.

I usually always have a seamless and smooth experience when dining here! Their social hour is packed with different goodies for any mood, and complements different taste buds! It's casual, laid back, yet upscale. I recommend their Mediterranean tuna tartare, or lobster arancini for light bites! You also can't go wrong with the Italian margarita, or Lavender 75 for drink! You should definitely stop by when you're in the hyde park area!

The ambiance of this restaurant is easily my favorite part. I went here on a weekday and was promptly sat, starting off our meal with the tuna tartar. It was fresh with a clean, slightly sweet flavor - a balance of savory umami and bright acidity. We then ordered the Chilean Seabass and Lobster Risotto to share as our mains. The seabass was rich and buttery, perfectly tender. It both melted in your mouth and had a slight crispiness on the outside. The risotto was my favorite, creamy and rich with flavor from the lobster. My only note is that I wish there was more lobster in the dish. Compared to other restaurants in Hyde Park, I wouldn't say this is my favorite/first pick however it definitely made for a nicer night out!Note: Italian is nowhere near my favorite cuisine so take that last comment with a grain of salt!

*** Bar Review ***My group stopped here for a drink and we sat at the bar. Within seconds we were provided with waters and menus. Throughout our time here the bartender/staff member was very attentive and friendly. The way she presented the drinks was entertaining which I found very nice! The prices are on the higher side and I think that may be due to how beautiful the atmosphere is. It is decorated beautifully. I felt like I was at an all inclusive resort. I forgot to take a pic of the drink (lemon basil cocktail) I had however it was refreshing. Similar to a spa drink, but spiked lol. I also tried the lavender cocktail and old fashioned. Both were very good!

Timpano hasn't let me down yet. Went NYE for their "social hour", which is 4-6pm, and ONLY at the bar or outside. (didn't know the specifics about seating but now I do)I made the reservations specifically for the social hour, but was unaware of seating specifics. I was sat inside and they were able, even with a tight schedule, to seat me outside.I guess i truly dropped the ball with reservations for NYE, we had two additional people join our party and they let us use the table beside us and notified us when we would need to be finish so they could use it for the next reservation, which was very very helpful. We probably would not have stayed for all the food and beverages we got, if our additional friends/family weren't able to sit down. Our server was so sweet, helpful, and made good suggestions. I truly wish I had gotten her name for a shoutout. We ordered food and it took an hour to get out to us. Our waiter noticed as well, spoke with the chef and management and got that first round of our food orders on them. Our second round of food orders came out promptly.Highly suggest the Lobster Arancini and the mussels during their social hour. Delicious and steal. The arancini order comes with three and the mussels is a good shareable portion. The truffle on the fries were amazing.Customer service is top tier here; very impressed.

The food is excellent, the service is highly lacking! I went here for my birthday last year. I went here for my birthday this year. I won't be back for my birthday again, or any other time. They forgot the bacon in my pricey old fashioned last year. They forgot my bacon in my pricey old fashioned this year. However, this year when I approached the bartender to fix it, he informed me that it was my server's rresponsibility to garnish the drink. Umm., no jerk, I've had a longggg day, AND it's my birthday! I want my cocktail WITH my bacon now!! Seriously, how do you forget bacon twice? They really should have given me a plate if it for the inconvenience. I have several other complaints, including the fact that they NEVER return my phone calls. You will not get an actual person to answer during operating hours. You're just asked to leave a message, but that's useless. They'll seat you with a menu for happy hour (both times they did this), but then tell you it's only good for the patio or bar seating. Thanks for the tease. I won't waste my time in going through everything else that went wrong. There are a lot of other Italian restaurants with much better pasta and far better service.

Stop by for a drink and bite after dinner as the spacing looks vibing from outside.Cocktails were on the sweeter side, too sweet.Tuna Tartare - it might be the most disgusting tuna Tartare I've ever had in my life!! It was overly sour, huge a mount of caper, red chunks (maybe it's tomato or red pepper, no idea), and onion chunks mixed within. Mushy texture. When there's too much random stuff used for tartare it just means it's not fresh and trying to cover the fishiness. Almost disrespectful to diners!
