Thrifty Specialty Produce in St. Cloud is a fantastic spot, especially if you're looking for a quick, delicious meal. Their hot food line is always filled with fresh, ready-to-go options, making it perfect for a quick breakfast, lunch or dinner. The grocery section is equally impressive, stocked with a wide variety of international foods that are hard to find elsewhere. Whether you're after specialty items or just looking to explore new flavors, this store has something for everyone. Great food, great variety--definitely worth a visit!

First, I'm Cuban. I do appreciate a nice latin mercado. But the people that work there are so rude. I saw the eggs were 11bucks for a medium. I said wow. The eggs are 11 bucks in spanish. And the manager told me go to Walmart because they are cheaper. Super rude. He can suck it

I have been a loyal customer of Thrifty Supermarket deli in St. Cloud for a couple of years, frequently buying hot foods and groceries. However, today's experience has left me deeply upset and disappointed. If they changed the chef, they need to fire this one. My husband went to buy "sancocho," expecting the hearty, rich stew we're used to. Instead, he received a watered-down soup with smoked pork chops, corn that didn't look fresh, malanga, and a piece of yuca. A real sancocho is a robust stew made from a variety of meats, typically including pork sausage, pork chops, chicken, and beef, all stewed for hours to achieve a thick, flavorful consistency. What we received was far from this standard--more broth than stew, lacking the depth and richness that define a true sancocho. This is not the quality I have come to expect from Thrifty Supermarket. The disappointing dish we received today has made me reconsider my patronage. I don't think I'll be ordering from here again. It's truly a shame when a trusted local spot lets you down so badly.

In the area for work and was recommended to come here for their box lunches. The parking lot is easily accessible but can be a little crowded. I took a quick stroll through the market and everything looked fresh and organized. I decided to purchase a papaya since they looked ripe and tasty. I then headed over to the food counter and ordered a roasted pork combo. It came with a choice of rice, plantains and pork. I wanted yucca instead of plantains but no substitutes. It a was heavy plate they served and everything was delicious! The rice was super flavorful, pork was nice and tender, plantains were sweet. When I got home I cut into the papaya and it had went bad. It appeared that it may have been frozen and the inside flesh has turned a weird color and consistency... to the trash it went. Solid lunch place, great bang for your buck!

I found this little taste of tropical paradise in Saint Cloud a few years ago. They have so much to offer that you may not find in the regular grocery stores. Stocked with mainly Latin foods, you will find fresh fruits from the islands and vegies that are beautifully displayed, and quality meets that you can get straight from the inhouse butcher. They have a carryout hot foods section that serves the best empanadas, sandwiches, pastries and more. The carryout is always packed with customers, especially at lunch time. There is just so much to choose from at great prices. If you are looking for a grocery store/market that caries culturally specific items, this is the place to be. You can find spices, sauces, beans and nuts, seafood, etc. They even have a small medicine section. There is a small parking lot, but depending on when you go, it can be hard to find parking. This is a popular place for those that are in the know here. The staff is very friendly and patient while you try to make a choice. Knowing Spanish will take you a long way, but not needed. There are some English-speaking employees if you need assistance. I look forward to my next visit and all the wonderful, traditional, and homemade Latin foods that they offer.

If you have t come here yet. You are missing out. St cloud has a very nice hidden gem. This place has it all and good quality produce/product. You have to give the food section a try. The variety and choices are undeniable. Roast pork!? Rotisserie chicken? Meat pastries? Rice and beans?! Go check them out. I'm actually getting hungry writing this review. Lines might be long. But it's worth it. Don't fleek. Unless you eat. Be safe Jan MC

Being that the major Groceries in the area lack many culturally specific items, this place is where you come to get those "antojitos" that Publix cannot satisfy. Dominican, Puerto-Rican, Colombian, Mexican, and even oriental items can be found here. While it's not abundant in options, they have just enough inventory for that dish you're trying to prepare. The vegetables are actually beautifully arranged and they actually look so much fresher than the sad vegetables in Publix. You can't beat the prices! You might have to ask ahead of time for the location of some specific items. I couldn't find the tajin for my elope recipe, but a employee kindly told me exactly where I'd find it & it was there. The chorizo section isn't as varied as I thought it would be but I was happy with the Argentine sausage I ended up with. The lines do get long but just have patience and they will move quickly. Un poco sazón in St. Cloud, Fl....Me gusta!!

I go here for the hot food. Very good. Plentiful. I don't speak Spanish but you can point and ask. Recommend beef empanadas. Big. Plenty of beef. Delicious Skirt steak when available- sold by weight. TenderSteak - also delicious Flan and tres leches - fresh. Nice portion. So many choices. I also noticed sandwich options as well. Good prices. Friendly. But prices aren't really listed.

This is a great little market. Great looking veggies and meats. The variety leans heavily towards Latin foods and spices. All clean and orderly. I've tried one of their complete meals from their steam table. I chose the chicken stew with rice and beans. It was absolutely delicious! And just $6. Very large serving too. I want to try everything! They had some great looking salads. I'll be back!

Food is amazing and portions are huge. Two people can eat for the cost of one. It helps if you speak Spanish
