Great line dance place! Big open floor and 3 bars nestled inside. So much room on the outside of the dance floor when not dancing. Big place that can handle a lot of people & DJ plays the best songs. So many friendly faces. Love it here :)

The female bouncer would not let me in on the basis my light brown "swim" cargo shorts were against the dress code. I was with 3 other of my queers relatives and it was blatant homophobic and transphobic behavior. She said "swimwear is not allowed" and I replied "name one time I've ever swam in these shorts..." Needless to say never enter this strip mall busted down honky tonk bar located directly to the right of the little Caesar's. I would give this "establishment" 0 stars if I could I've never seen Florida so unprofessional and discriminatory in my life... and that's saying something.

The best place to line dance. My friend wanted to go line dancing for her birthday. It was between this and the Dallas Bull. She heard that this place was a little more lowkey so we went here. Line dancing lessons start at 7:30 p.m. and are at least on Saturdays and Tuesdays (I believe they may be on other days too). Saturday is expert and Tuesday is beginner. I know this, because the instructor kept looking at us and telling us Tuesdays is for beginners (we were there on a Saturday). We must have looked pretty bad, but we still really enjoyed it. One of my friends walked up to a guy who knew all the dances and asked him how long he's been doing this for. He said he was 24, started when he was 18 and comes pretty much every week. Those are the type of people you'll find here.On a Saturday night, the dance floor is all line dancing. Don't come here expecting it to ever switch over to other dances. That being said, it's pretty impressive watching people line dance. I saw pictures and wondered how people weren't hot in jeans. They keep this place pretty cold, because they know the line dancers are working up a sweat.Drinks are also super cheap. They have something called sink or swim, which is pay $15 for all you can drink wells and bud light draft. I haven't seen something like this since college. I haven't been to a bar that has so many bottles of Smirnoff since college! They do have high noons so I stuck with that. It's $5 a high noon, which is a great price at a bar (to put it in perspective, at Disney we paid $12 per high noon, which is just ridiculous). They do allow 18-20 year olds in and you can tell by the orange wrist band. It seems like most 18-20 year olds play pool and line dance. I really think this must be the place to be in Holiday.Dress code is wear pretty much anything. We randomly saw a ton of women in football jerseys (no clue why). This is not dress to impress, jeans and a cute top (or not so cute top) will suffice. Definitely break out your cowboy boots or sneakers, because flip flops won't cut it when line dancing. We had such a great time that we do want to come back on a Tuesday even though it's a 30 minute drive. It's $5 cover for 21 plus for line dancing lessons, which is the cheapest exercise class you'll ever pay for. And trust me, you will sweat. This is not the place to see or be seen, but it is a place where the drinks are cheap and if you bring the right company you'll enjoy it.

It's funny saying this, but you really pick up on some southern hospitality while visiting here in central Florida. It seems the reviews between google and Yelp are night and day difference. My guess why reviews on google are a lot better for this place is because older crowd tends to use google over Yelp. Which, would explain why few reviews on here too. Most of their patrons are older. This country club pretty much does everything right. The only thing I can complain is not being a mechanical bull. Their prices are fair. Staff are super welcoming for a club with a lot of regulars. They have various line dancing classes through the week. Even weekly classes for beginners. Lots of pool tables. Very spacious. And, most importantly, they play country music pretty much all the time. So, grab your boots and your friends. Would recommend coming here for anyone visiting or in the area that likes country music.

I had a great time at The Stockyard last night.Staff was very friendly, both the woman at the front door and the bartender who served me. Bathroom was very clean. Drinks seemed very reasonably priced.I found the patrons friendly and accommodating. Being unfamiliar with country line dancing, I danced near the ones who looked like they knew what they were doing and copied their steps. None of the dancers seemed to mind that I didn't know any of the dances. The entrance fee of $5 seemed very reasonable for the experience. The dance instructor taught very few dances between 7:30 and 9:30PM but I didn't mind; I actually preferred when he wasn't teaching and I could just copy what others were doing. Most of the patrons were wearing blue jeans or denim shorts. About half were wearing cowboy boots. Different styles of footwear and shirts were worn. I felt comfortable being dressed differently than everyone else and no one seemed to mind that I wore a mask.

I went to Stockyard Friday night for a concert and had a great time. Located in a plaza there is plenty of parking. We got tickets ahead of time that were $15 and reasonably priced. We arrived a little early to grab some drinks. The drink prices were decent too, like less than $7 for a whiteclaw. The dancing was great to observe and they have classes too for those wanting to learn. The concert was awesome and the artist they brought was super talented. He even brought a special guest star on stage. The place was super clean and everyone friendly. My only note was the sound system was a little off so it was hard to hear when the artist was talking. Overall I had a great night and enjoyed Stockyard!

Let me start off by saying I am NOT a country fan I went to the stockyard to try something new with some coworkers. If you're into country line dancing, this is your hot spot. We went on a Friday night because Josh Gracin was playing. I was told by frequent flyers that the night to go is SATURDAY. If you're looking for a little more life to your party, Saturdays are for you.Drinks were very well priced and far from stingy on the liquor paid about $10 for a signature cocktail and then a vodka soda. Concert ticket was $17 but I heard cover is usually $10 but free after 9. Always call to double check just in case there's an event & you have to pay.Parking is vast because it's within a strip mall. From the outside, it's an eye sore. But on the inside, it is MASSIVE and remodeled. The description is a bit misleading....it says 'dance club' but it should say line Dancing club. The dance floor is huge but it isn't for those looking to get down to their favorite song. It is full of only line dancers. I must stay: it was fun learning a line dance.

Tom Terrific here with another honest review.A gigantic country dance club with a stage for up-and-coming stars. This is the biggest shit kickin' club in the Tampa area.I'm not much for country music but i love to dance so went there expecting to work the room and get some moves on.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~WRONG~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Here's what you dancers need to know......There's a ton of fine fillies there all dressed in their ranch wear. The male competition is not overwhelming so you have good odds.BUT: IT'S LINE DANCING 100% OF THE TIME.I kept waiting for a rocking country song so i could dance but the songs they played were mid tempo tunes and for me was boring.Since real men don't line dance i made my exit.

county music and the values should be A-1. I am 29 years old and went to a concert here one time and a GROWN ass man didn't like that I asked him to move over a tad bit bc I'm only 5'4 and he was 6'0 +. I couldn't see. I had two drinks, but no where near drunk. (bouncer told me I was and that could have been arrested)..but came up to me after the show-bc I had to wait for my ride who was still inside...- that it wasn't his fault. if he didn't kick me out the guy who hit me would have complained and he was a regular so he had to make him happythis man yelled and screamed in my face and shoved me. I told him do not touch me and he did it again. I ended up getting kicked out because I made a scene because I was not putting up with a grown ass man shoving me (by grown, he had to have been 50's ) I paid for a meet and greet and didn't get to do that bc the bouncer removed me. I promise, if you are coming to this area, PLEASE look into going to the Dallas Bull in Tampa. it is a tad bit farther but SO much more worth it Go see Webb at the Dallas Bull, tell him Blondie sent you. btw, my rating is 0 stars but I had to post something.
