If you are looking for spices and sauces, there are tons of different options here that you wouldn't find just anywhere. The person working here was very nice and welcoming as well.I saw tons of different Greek seasonings, and hot sauces cheesecake ball mixes, dip seasonings. All kinds of stuff. It was pretty cool to see.I know there's not as much variety at Publix or Walmart but you will find some extraordinary ones here.4 stars because I did think that the price was a little bit more but the area is quite touristy so that makes sense to me!

I had a wonderful time shopping at this Sponge Docks store. Cindy was so helpful and gave me a guided tour through all the hot sauces I was interested in. They have way more than just hot sauces. Lots of local products and other rubs and marinates. I would recommend anyone visiting the sponge docks to find their way to this shop whether they're a chili head or not.

Down towards the west end of Dodecanese Boulevard in the Sponge Docks area of Tarpon Springs sits a great little emporium selling over 300 types of hot sauces, 50 different BBQ sauces, marinades, salsas, pickled vegetables, seasonings and rubs, jams and jellies, dips and spreads, coffee, tea, and honeys, gourmet foods, and kitchen gadgets. This fantastic little spot is called The Spicemans Kitchen, and it's run by Chuck and Cindy Wilson, who wisely left the cold weather behind, and moved to Tarpon Springs.Spicemans Kitchen can be found in a little mall called the Lighthouse Shops, near the traffic circle, and it is well worth walking down to his end of Dodecanese to visit this shop. The store is jammed full of products which are all neatly arranged and labeled on the shelves. There is plenty of room to walk up and down the aisles, chuckling at the names of the various hot sauces and rubs, while searching for those perfect gift ideas.Chuck wandered the store with me and pointed out some of the best-selling (and most lethal) spices and sauces. He showed me Bad Byron's Butt Rub (A little butt rub makes everything better), which is the top selling spice rub to use on pork ribs. Next to it was the equally popular Gator Hammock Cooter Rub, followed by every imaginable type of seasoning and spice blends. There is an entire aisle dedicated to hot sauces, and Chuck gave me the lowdown on the top ten best sellers:* Professor Phardtpounder's Colon Cleaner* Catch a Fire Green Lava Pepper Sauce* Doc Holliday's Feel Good Elixir* Ass Reaper* Dave's Gourmet Insanity Sauce* Key West Key Lime Hot Sauce* Black Mamba Venomous Hot Sauce* The Ghost Hot Sauce (made with Ghost peppers)* The Hottest F*ckin Sauce* Moruga Madness Hot Sauce (made with Scorpion chiles from Trinidad)You'll be giggling at the crazy names before you get halfway down the aisle, and this is when Chuck pointed me up towards the front counter where they have free samples of many of these different hot sauces. You splash a drop or two onto a cracker and then try to carry on a normal conversation while the flames of Maleficent are burning away deep in your belly.Spicemans also has a wide variety of sweet and savory types of sauces, and even some tasty flavored honeys, and dessert options.I had a great time exploring this store, and even more fun talking with Chuck and Cindy while trying to re-gain some composure after the hot sauce tasting. I left the store with a couple of bottles of hot sauce, a few different spice rubs, and a No-Bake Cheesecake Mix (Peach Cobbler style).

Love this place! So many sauces - so little store. Always something different to sample. We go every 4-6 weeks. Going back this weekend to pick up some hot mustard sauce we 'ordered' last month. The owners are always so helpful and knowledgeable.

This place is pretty fantastic. My husband and I were walking through Tarpon Springs and just decided to stop in. You could spend forever just laughing as you read through the names of the spices and sauces they have. You would think that with the number of different products they have you would just be taking chances on which ones to try. However, the owner of the store was incredibly knowledgeable in the different products and how spicy each of complemented different foods. The Butt Rub was recommended to us as a basic spice that you could use on everything and I have seriously used it on almost everything since then. The sauces they have are really good stocking stuffers for any man that grills.

I like the varieties of hot sauces, spices, etc. The lower rating is due to the item prominently displayed as you first walk in the store that actually has the F word on it!! No warning for parents walking in with their children that they're going to see this upon entering the store.

In case you have not been back to the Sponge Docks since the flood period,it is mostly all back including near Rusty Bellie's,the Spicemans Kitchen with every funny labeled concoction you could ever want as a stocking stuffer or to send to friends, etc. They had to rehab like most stores and Candace could use a few more of you to either visit during these Holidays or go to the online site and order as some of us did during the almost two months shutdown. And one other thing, this is new ownership. A couple of previous comments complained about lack of good service. Not today. Candace and staff will walk you through the shelves and explain it all. Me? I always go with the Chicken spice that rhymes with spit....merry,merry....

Terrible rude and ugly customer service. Passed through today with my family and another family and was greeted with rude service. very unfriendly didnt talk to us and when my son picked up and accidentally dropped a hot sauce bottle, it fell onto a lower shelf, was told do not touch anything in which I apologized and went to leave only to be told to never come back. this is not the kind of thing you tell anyone shopping at your business especially if you're owner. lack of manners and lack of respect. the only rude person in tarpon springs
