Quintessential Beach dive bar vibes. Big corporations try to replicate this but always fall short. Always great live music, and cold beer. You really can't go wrong spending some time at the saltwater hippie.

Omg we had a great time at this local beach bar! We went specifically to see live music Tequila Boys...Seranation a local St Pete Band who is amazing. The atmosphere and overall vibes of the Saltwater Hippie Bar were great. Service was great & bartenders quick, friendly, & efficient. We went the next day to the Saltwater Hippie Shop which was great too. We love the name, the vibe, and service. Thank you

Nice lil duvet local spot within walking distance from our condo and super close to the beach. Nice stop off spot from the local Wednesday street market. Grabbed a local beer on tap and enjoyed the concrete open air bar top overlooking the street and enjoying the live music.

Still great dive bar music always when you go here, although the endless blues gets a little monotonous at times. They could use more variety in their booking. Well played, though.The bar staff is hardcore. Don't expect to be treated like it's your birthday. I believe they do a bizarre shift change around 6pm where they cash everyone out like they're closing. No, it's time to tip the day shift, and then start tipping the nightshift if you stick around.

Was open in 2023 but now 12/2024, place is gone.closed.no bueno, no menu items,empty building.sad it didn't last

I don't know what happened to this place. It's in my neighborhood, I consider it ... or used to consider it ... one of my personal establishments.The jukebox ripped me off for three songs and I thought maybe it was the bar getting ready for the live music, so I tried to ask the bartender but she got hostile and copped a serious attitude about the whole thing which really threw me off base. Then she said I was cutoff and ordered me out ... over three dollars in the jukebox.I'd spent probably $50 and plenty of that was tips, and was among the nicest most personable people in the whole place. It was like some weird Twilight Zone episode. Whatever happened to, "Oh, that's the jukebox not us. They have a number you can call." If they'll treat a top-notch smiling regular with a bunch of cash and a positive attitude this way, there's no predicting how they'll treat anyone else.

1000% RACIST ESTABLISHMENT I am writing to express my disappointment with a recent visit to this establishment. Our out-of-country friend, who presented a valid passport in English and Spanish, was inexplicably denied service, seemingly due to her darker complexion, which was a distressing display of flat-out racism. (I wonder if the bartender would have treated white-skinned Canadians with passports the same way). Three members of our group are U.S. military VETERANS, making the discriminatory treatment even more disheartening. When we tried to discuss the matter with the bar manager (or owner), we were met with dismissiveness, as the manager stated, "I have to side with my bartender."To add to the frustration, we had already paid for our drinks before being forced to leave, but we did not receive a refund and were not allowed to finish our drinks. Our drinks were aggressively removed from our hands. Certainly, the RUDEST bartender I've ever encountered (small, skinny blonde. Didn't catch her name). This lack of accountability and poor customer service tarnished our overall experience. As patrons, we expected fairness and respect, qualities sorely lacking here. I will be sure to leave this review on multiple online platforms. And will further bring this up at VFW and American Legion (both of which we are members). Such as shame, since we would make this place a frequent go-to spot. No more.

It's a chill bar, pretty small with live music but the bartenders are so rude. I'll never come back. Sorry

Great vibe - great time. Great cheap drinks and live music music. The space is large so you can sit in our outside. Staff is 10/10.
