Update: wilty produce that isn't cheap. Slow check out. They seem to sell some of the runty rejects that don't make it to supermarkets but the prices and freshness aren't top notch. The bananas are cheap.I like this relatively new farmer's market. They have some very good prices. They had my persimmons when they were in season. They have a good selection including somewhat unusual items (bok choy, cactus pears, jicama). And they have some great deals like .32 per pound bananas. Quality of the produce varies.. but there are some very good deals.

After a recommendation from a customer of mine I went to this market to purchase Strawberries. Paid $17.95 for a flat to make Jam. Ask when they were picked and told the day before, that seemed reasonable, since Plant City is close by. The business was very cold and so were the strawberries, I am sure they had just come out of the cooler. Took them home thinking they would get warmer and jucier. They did not! I tried cleaning 3-4 and they were not juicy, rather rubbery and not what I expected. Took them back today (Monday) to ask for a refund. When I was telling the employees that I thought that they had been in a cooler too long one young lady started grabbing strawberries and squeezing them, watching 10-15 small drops of juice fall out. If they had been fresh they would have fallen apart., not stayed together- rubbery! After being screamed at, and a call to the owner, they decided that I could not get a refund, and would instead offer to exchange them for more strawberries. I declined that offer, I had had thier strawberries and lost my $17.95. After being told NEVER to come back I gave the strawberries to a man that was in the store and I left, and will NEVER go back. That was my 1st and last time .Shop at your own peril, but don't try to return ANYTHING!
