My kids love this place! They did a camp here over the summer and had a great time painting fun pieces. The stencils make it easier for them and the end product is something that's actually presentable and of use!Camp times are from 10 to 2 pm, and they host regular paint sessions as well as birthday parties.

First time doing anything like this and it was great. We looked through what was available. Didn't have a large selection at the time. The owner said she had just gotten a large amount of customers and will restock soon. The owner was really friendly, gave us tips and ideas what to do. What you pay for is based on the item you pick to paint. Once painted they will finished it off for you and you will pick it up on a later date.I painted a bowl and i honestly still use it often. I will have to back again and do another dish. I feel this is a great place for everyone of all ages. Big plus for kid friendly.

I went for a bridal shower & we had a nice time. Many options to choose from as far as items to paint. If you were struggling their was plenty of staff willing to help you out. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the restroom situation was terrible. I'd recommend using the restroom before you get there and praying you don't have to go while there. Apparently they're partnered with the plant place next door, & the bathroom is just down a dirty hallway in the back where it's super hot, the toilet hardly flushed and it smells like fertilizer.

I am so not artistic. Nevertheless, I still ended up creating a beautiful piece with the awesome & well planned execution for the talentless such as myself, courtesy of The Potter's House Studio! The shop itself is an adorable little gem, very comfortable, not overwhelming. Josie was amazing at explaining the process and was helpful throughout when we had questions (yes, even "dumb" ones). The Studio features simple, yet aesthetically pleasing pieces to choose from with a wonderful array of paints to choose from.THERE IS A DESIGN CENTER! This means you can choose from stencils of all sizes and patterns, stamp type devices to imprint designs, and best of all....a computer to search images that the studio will then image and re-size for you on the spot to have a custom stencil for your creation!I've tried painting my own wine glass, blah blah...hideous, but really I was in it for the experience. This studio raised the bar so much for me! I can make my own pieces that I will use on a daily basis that I just love...Headed back in a few weeks, I'm hooked!Who knew that this artless girl could be so...artsy? Potters House most certainly had my number- ADORE, LOVE, REVISIT.

This was my first time ceramic painting. Josie walked me through everything. I highly enjoyed my time there. I can't wait to pick up the final product.

I came in with my cousins. We happened to drive by and I checked on yelp, so we decided to just stop in. Best three hours spent.I've been to other pottery places but The Potter's House was so cozy and an easy place to not only commit to. It wasn't crowded and Josie was so delightfully helpful. There were so many options to choose from with both the pottery and paint. It was honestly such a fun bonding family outing, where we would could chat when we want and go back painting. Definitely would recommend.

Create amazing one of a kind pottery pieces at this friendly South Tampa studio. Choose from a variety of plates, cups, bowls, vases, figurines, and more. Then, choose your paint colors, templates, and start designing your masterpiece. If you need ideas or help, the staff is ready with an encouraging word and helpful hints. Pieces are fired in the kiln and ready for pickup in days. Worth the wait! Conveniently located on Westshore about a mile north of Gandy, this locally owned shop is a gem!

What a fun time!!! I called ahead (only a few hours) and Josie was amazing from the jump. Very accommodating and helpful! She was a delight to talk to and listen to once we were there and settled. The only difficult thing is having to choose what piece to paint! Other than that, everything was a piece of cake. We didn't feel rushed or anything. She had tons of beautiful colors to use and a million types of paint brushes. At the end, we had the urge to clean up and she insisted on leaving everything. I will absolutely be back and will bring more friends next time :)

A wonderful cozy place to express your creative side! You pay based on what piece you select, and there is a flat sitting fee to cover paint, supplies and firing in the kiln. This is wonderful, because some pottery places charge you by the hour, the one fee covers you all day if you so choose. It's a relaxing activity, and a warm friendly shop. It's perfect for unwinding or throwing a birthday party. Love, love, love this place. :)

I swung by here two weekends ago with my little because she had expressed an interest in arts and crafts. We had a great experience and Josie was so welcoming. It is a small pottery studio, but plenty of pottery pieces to choose from. Josie let me know that she often gets new shipments of pottery pieces and often switches them out. After we had picked out our pottery pieces, Josie kindly prepped our table and pottery pieces. The paint and supplies are self-serve. She also has some awesome and unique stencils if you're feeling fancy.I was able to pick up our pottery pieces a week later after they had been fired in the kiln. They turned out great!I would definitely recommend this studio to anyone in the vicinity.
