The Market at Cafe Zuppina

The food here is amazing. I'm obsessed with the vegan platter...the black bean patties, the brussel sprouts...everything is cooked to perfection. They have a cute market with To Go and pantry items. I do have to say I miss the vibe of the old place. It felt like a friendly neighborhood cafe. It feels more like a dinner restaurant now.

If you didn't know you needed a wonderfully exquisite Mediterranean market/ cafe in your life, here's your sign! You will find exactly this at the Cafe Zuppina in Lakeland.It's all in the same little area but two distinct parts- the actual restaurant, "Cafe Zuppina", is located to the right when you are facing the buildings. Then, the "Market at Cafe Zuppina" is the longer building to the left (its 2 rooms).The Market is just a charmer. There is an actual market section, where you can find fun foreign candies, jams, dips, drinks, and even some pre made take home for later Mediterranean food. Then walk into the interconnected next room, and you will find another world of more goodies.Gelato, coffee, pastries and baklava galore! There are many fun things to choose from. One of my personal favorites is the chocolate baklava. They should call it choclava instead, I think. Also, most every season they create some sort of special short-term flavored cold brew coffee. During the most recent holidays they had an eggnog cream cold brew, and it was one of the best cold brews I've had to date. I was totally taken aback by how good it was, especially since I didn't really expect it. So what I'm saying is, keep an eye on their cold brew specials and definitely give those a try!The market is awesome for a quick stop or a nice place to hang out- in their adorable leather chairs or out in the middle courtyard!

Very cozy over to the left side of the Cafe. Yummy treats and beautiful lattes. The menu was straight forward and easy to order. I will definitely be coming back soon.

The desserts ate to die for!!I had the Vegan Pumpkin Spice and it was outstanding! My wife had the Gluten Free chocolate Mouse. It was incredible too!The place has only been open for a short time and I see why they have 5 stars already! The staff are great as well!!Go!!!

I've been dying to come to The Market since the expansion and finally made it around to coming. It is so wonderful and the menu is much larger than I anticipated. I am both equally floored at the quality and quantity. I went with my sister who is gluten free due to an allergy and she enjoyed a massive macaron and a cappucino. I, on the other hand am gluten friendly and enjoyed a chocolate ganache tart as well as an affogato with pistachio gelato. All were delicious but the one notable mention for me was the affogato. Oh my, was it tasty! There are three 'sections' to this space. Facing the store front, from left to right, you have the coffee/pastry area, gelato section with additional seating and products and then last but certainly not least, the market filled with grab n go options as well as grocery items. I highly recommend grabbing a friend and coming here or simply just brining yourself. It is all things cozy, welcoming and wonderful. I plan to bring my laptop and knock out some work here in the future.

I love seeing this quality family-owned restaurant expand into this new space! We didn't get anything from the market this time, but they had some incredible products (especially some gorgeous salami and cheeses that I want to try!). But the gelato, coffee shop, and bakery were so clean and beautiful too, and everything we tasted was incredible.I ended up getting the cappuccino gelato, which was perfectly sweet. I hate when I can only have a few bites because it's too sugary, but this was perfect. We also tried the lemon, the creme brûlée, and this AMAZING berry gelato that has red wine in it & might be one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth. SO good. My husband got a layered pastry (can't remember the name) that had these thin flaky layers like a croissant, layered with a vanilla custard. It was topped with a thin layer of white chocolate. He loved it!! I could've had one of everything in the shop. The first thing we noticed was how clean and well-kept everything was when we walked in. It's a beautiful space, with high quality goods, and the sweetest people. We will be back!

It's a solid spot with fresh food! The lady at the counter must've been overwhelmed at the time of my visit because she got my order wrong. I had asked for the feta rolls and got some thing with eggplant that was bitter so it just wasn't what I was expecting or hoping for but still OK, nonetheless. They also don't have Wi-Fi and it just seemed like the cutest spot to sit and work so at least I know for next time it's a great lunch but but make sure she repeats the order to you upfront and don't expect to prop up your laptop. I do still want to try my original dish but maybe next time.

Quiet atmosphere in the mid morning, had a cappuccino and macaroon, so delicious! my husband had an americano and tiramisu--also so good! The coffee was really nice , smooth espresso. Excited to go back soon for lunch/dinner!! They have an awesome menu and a cute little shop with lots of delicious goods and products if you're looking for some specialty items your local grocer doesn't carry.

Everything was absolutely amazing! We loved the pistachio latte and chocolate mousse + the service was so friendly :)
