The Latin Grill - Tampa

I recently booked a table for a birthday celebration here and let me tell you if you are planning something special this is definitely the place! The ambiance and amazing weekend show was the perfect touch! I kept checking open table for a reservation and this place was fully booked so the day before I called to try my luck and spoke with Valentino and he made it happen for me and moved some things around to make this possible! Amazingly sweet of him especially since it was the day before and they were completely booked! On top of that amazing customer service! The food and drink portions are huge and very tasty! I had the ropa vieja and it was enough food to feed two people or even more depending on your appetite! The impersonation show was great and the birthday girl and my daughter really enjoyed it. Very lively atmosphere and our server was also very nice as well. I will definitely be back to Latin Grill probably to check out brunch next! My only con for this place was the lack of appetizer options and all of the appetizers that they did have featured seafood. Would have liked to see some other non seafood options available.

If you're looking for great music and a lively atmosphere, this place delivers. But if you expect good service, well-crafted drinks, timely food, and an overall enjoyable dining experience, you'll likely be disappointed.We arrived slightly earlier than the rest of our party and were told by the hostess that we needed to wait until most of the group arrived before being seated--fair enough. She assured us she would come get us once they were ready. While waiting at the bar, we were served weak drinks that required extra alcohol just to taste right--and we're not even heavy drinkers.After some time, we found out that our party had already been seated without us being informed. It then took over an hour just to place an appetizer order, as our server refused to take our entrée orders at the same time. By the two-hour mark, only half the table had been able to place their entrée orders, and when the food finally arrived, it was cold and undercooked. The other half of the table never even had their order taken and eventually gave up.Despite the poor service and disappointing food, the music, atmosphere, and dancing were fantastic--easily a 5/5. If you're coming just for the vibe, you might enjoy it. If you're coming for a quality dining experience, you might want to look elsewhere.

The location was excellent to meet a friend that was visiting. Miguel was our server he was very helpful. But you could tell he was extremely busy. I had to ask for water.... The food was yummy. But it was weird that my dish had fries & rice. I asked for no fries but they came on my plate under my rice and shrimp. The place was busy and fun. The birthday crew was excellent, when it was time to sign happy Birthday. The atmosphere was celebrating & fun. I enjoyed this location. Add more liquor to your drinks please.

Great place for groups, birthday parties, or just because you want to listen to music. The Latin Grill has a fun ambience if you love to dance salsa or merengue! They had a Selena performance in the middle of the dance floor. Super cute and interactive! I would extremely recommend making a reservation because they are super busy.

My friends joined me here for a birthday dinner. Amazing service and food was delicious! Ambiance is chic and inviting. My only regret is that I haven't gone on a night when they have a live show. I will get there soon.

Ordered to churrasco (steak) and it melts in your mouth. Bottle service was on point too! Turns into a dance club at night. Super fun!!! Will definitely be back.

Last Saturday we went to Latin Grill to celebrate one of my friends' birthday. The place is really nice and I'm surprised I didn't know about it before. Although it took over an hour to get our food, we did have fun dancing while waiting. I ordered the surf and turf plantains appetizer, it was pricier than my friend's entree. My friends enjoyed their dishes. I like the party vibe, so I will most likely come back.

Food was absolutely delicious. Environment was unforgettable. Staff were extremely friendly

Don't go there thinking you can keep the purse glass. The drink was definitely not worth $40+ without the glass. I drank the whole thing by myself. Won't be back.

Not for everyone.... I scheduled a birthday dinner here this past Friday evening for my family including folks in their 60s and elementary aged children. That is the not the right clientele because unbeknownst to us, it is basically a nightclub. I scheduled the dinner for 7:30pm and by that point it was already so loud our ears were ringing. We could not talk or hear each other and asked to move outside where it was a bit quieter. However, about 30 minutes in, the volume out there got unbearable as well. My party was very annoyed... I felt embarrassed to have put them out. I will go over the positives though because if you go prepared, it is fine. The food came out fast and we all were pleased with it. The menu ranges in Latin fare options from Brazilian to Puerto Rican to Peruvian to even Italian so anyone can find something. The drinks were unique but pricey. The staff was pleasant but some didn't understand what we were requesting due to a language barrier. If you want to go and vibe out and dance it is the place to go because they have impersonators and an impressive sound system. They got a Conga line going which was very fun. I think it would've been perfect for a bachelorette party or something similar.
