The Lake House Kitchen

We went up to Winter Haven to watch Warner University Men's. Basketball Team my son is a Coach for them . He suggested we go down town, he said it's quaint and there's a good taco place he and his fiancee found there . So we walk up to this nice small restaurant inside a corridor surrounded by other businesses and a local bar. I look at the menu and there is a great selection of different dishes , actually I was very surprised but the menu. There were so many items that looked great I just asked the woman ringing up the order which one she liked the best . She tells me the Birra Beef Tacos , and boy oh boy I was not disappointed they were fantastic. We ordered a large bowl of guacamole it didn't come with chips but she gave us chips with the order . My son and my wife both had the taco plate and they loved them as well . The food was served hot , and presentation was great . Although there were a couple tables inside we went outside and sat at one of several tables on a nice seating area with overhead shades to keep the sun off you but still very inviting. They do not sell beer but suggested we go next door and they had everything we wanted . Which we did and got three draft beers to wash it all down with . All in all a great experience, I definitely will return and hopefully try something else, but. I don't know those Birra beef tacos may just win again they will be hard to pass up . Went to the location in Downtown Winter Haven. The service was phenomenal! We ordered tacos and unfortunately they were so bland as well the sauce with no spice to it! I really thought with all the talk and reviews we would have had a better experience but that wasn't the case! The only reason for the 3 stars is the girl at the counter was amazing and super nice!

We came from 2 1/2 hours away to go to the Peppa Pig theme park and we ended up finding this food truck by chance and thank God we did because we have two 5-year-olds that are picky eaters and let me tell you they absolutely loved it and so did myself and my husband we would definitely come here again!Super good EVERYTHING! My husband had the Birria noodles, he also had six Birria tacos because they are definitely super small tacos and then I ordered six of their Birria tacos as well, we ordered a plate with Mexican rice and got an Asada for one of the kid and the other one got a cheese and chicken quesadilla which was super good and they absolutely loved everythingNo pics because we tore it up lol

We stoped here right after pickleball with our church and boy we was happy we did . Excellent food we will be back

I miss you guys already! Loved the gal that waited on us, she was so sweet and patient and outgoing! We drove up on my friend's boat and it was only about $51 for six of us and we ordered a lot of food. The elote were bogo, and there was a special for tacos for buy 5, get two free. The chicken empanada was not like a typical empanada but it was delicious!!! And $10 fajitas! I will def be back, I'm a little in love.

Cashier is rude AF (must be the owner to treat people like she does) She was sitting down with the owner when we walked in so idk..Today they had a .75 taco special. Refused an elderly white lady who mentioned the special but wasn't able to provide social media post because she's too old to use Facebook. So she left with nothing.But when 3 Mexicans came in who the owner knew she's instantly told them about the .75 taco special. And gave it to them without showing a social media post.. seems kinda racist.Then after eating my first 4 tacos I realized the ones in the bag were chicken and I ordered pork. She brought them back to me and advised she told me to look at the screen. Like who TF do you think you are. I told you the order, you typed it wrong, now fix it. Unbelievable that she came to my table to argue about it. Maybe get a bigger screen for people to see or type in English.Never going back . This never happens at tacos my friend.:Update once they see your review on Facebook they block you. Tells ya right there what kinda people they are. Petty AF.

Had some great tacos at this spot for a really good price. Will be back. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

This is the second time having birria from the lake house kitchen. These are the best birria tacos I've had from a restaurant. Love that they have so much cheese and the meat has so much flavor! 10/10

Very disappointed with my first and only experience with The Lake House Kitchen. We placed an order online and paid, when we arrived they stated they don't take online orders and prepared our order 20 minutes late without apologizing. Website menu shows that our $18 meal was supposed to come with a consommé and beans and rice. None of the sides were included and when we called to see if we could get a partial refund we were told that the online menu is wrong and they wouldn't do anything to amend it. Really poor business practice in my opinion, will not be back purely on principle.

Food that makes you take a moment to appreciate high-quality cuisine. Not only is their food freshly made when you order, but it also tastes phenomenal. Nothing on their menu is terrible. The journey your tastebuds go on, from the first bite to the last, is one everyone strives to experience when dining out. Not only is their food outstanding, but their customer service is excellent. For example, during Hurricane Milton, they were there for this community. When all of us were at home readying our homes for the storm, the staff remained at work to ensure everyone had access to a hot meal. When all of us were sitting without power, worrying about storm damage and cleaning up, the staff served our community with hot meals. This is going over and beyond in so many ways. I will be a forever client of this establishment due to their high-quality food and how they care about the communities they serve. We recently bought a home less than two miles from one of their locations. I am not exaggerating when I tell you I eat here five days a week, sometimes more. We volunteer at Bartow Middle School 3-4 days a week. What do the teachers and staff ask us to get when there? The lake house. Please stop by and allow your senses to fall in love with this hidden gem. Let's support small businesses like this that serve our community so well.
