The Lab Tampa

The vibe of this place is almost as good as its coffee. Always come here when I'm in town.

AMELIA walked me through the coffee menu and suggested the SPRODA, a coffee blend with Liquid Death sparkling water. A great find, and it put a sparkle in my day.The guava cheese toast sounds like a great twist on Tampa-Cuban food culture.Great ambiance here with holiday eggnog and doggie treats available.The indoor seating includes accessible low top table and some high tops. The outdoor fresh air seating includes picnic tables and table and moveable chairs, all umbrella-covered, some on pavers, some on mulch.I walked over to the coffee roasting area, and got a good look at the roaster, which seems to be on holiday break today.Great service! Great offerings!

Rise and shine! I was there around 8am and the joint was jumping! It was amped-buzzy-as caffeinated as its menu. Yeah, there's a gym next door... yeah, most of the clientele is young... yeah, it was the pre-work crowd... and really busy... so all of that contributes to the "up and at 'em" vibe. But it's also the staff, they're going hard and happy. The location is also part of it. It's in a rejuvenated area of town. It's go-go in the mo-mo (morning).., and if you're dragging, you'll leave here wagging. There's a full menu here. I meant to get Cuban toast but for some reason, ordered an Asiago jalapeño bagel. The bagel was good-it brought the heat. The hot chai tea latte was pretty... but not my favorite. It seemed a little watery to me, but that's just my taste. No matter, there are lots of other things to try. And I will definitely be back. I want to sample more of the menu-and soak up more of that productive high energy feel. I was ready to conquer when I left! You can park in the few spaces out front-and I heard one of the staffers say you can also park in the gravel lot, on the west side of the gym next door. Happy days!

Finally was able to try The Lab and I am so glad I did! I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese on a jalapeño cheddar bagel and it was phenomenal. I feel like it was fairly priced, given how big portion were. The bagel was full of flavor and could honestly be shared by two people. All the baristas we encountered were super friendly and helpful! This would be a great place to hangout if you WFH or to do schoolwork. Couldn't recommend this place enough and can't wait to go back!

I've been coming to The Lab fairly regularly for the last few weeks. Obsessively, might be a better word than "regularly." Their coffee syrups are entirely made in house, their bagels are hand-rolled, and their breakfast sandwiches are phenomenal. The baristas are sooooo friendly, and the different special flavors they offer are unique and delicious. This week, I've been getting a strawberry cappuccino! Amazing!

We found this place on Yelp and we couldn't wait to try it based on the reviews and menu. It's tucked away in a neighborhood with large office buildings and apartment buildings, right next to a CrossFit studio so not a typical place to find a coffee shop! Not much ambience but the coffee is great- I had the lavender latte which was delicious along with the bacon and egg breakfast bagel, also delicious. Quick service and great vibes. I definitely recommend it!

Love love loveeee The Lab!!! Have been here a couple times and have always had an amazing experience. One thing about this coffee shop is that it is always PACKED. Every time I have been here the line has been close to out the door. Their breakfast options are amazing. My favorite is the sauce they put on their bagels! Their coffee is great as well, I just wish they would come out with sugar free flavors. I always opt for a cold brew with almond milk and I will sweeten with Splenda :)) I will def be back.

Long line on a Saturday morning but line and service were both very quick. Limited seating inside for small groups (2-4 per table) and picnic tables out back. Seating seemed to turn over easily. Pour over coffee was great!! I got it black and it had really nice flavors on its own. The eggs in the pressed Cuban were a little rubbery but I would be interested to try their other food offerings.

Tried out the iced vanilla matcha latte and was honestly disappointed. There wasn't much vanilla flavor to it and I found that it lacked sweetness. I've always been pretty pleased with other things I've ordered, so this was a bit of a let down since I've really been wanting to try out their matcha. Also found that there was a lot of settling of the matcha powder, which I understand is inevitable, but seemed like it wasn't mixed that much.

Great spot to grab a coffee - the art on the walls is really cool and definitely a conversation starter. Service was fast and friendly, and the coffee itself was fantastic. We also ordered breakfast bagel sandwiches - great portion sizes, one of these could be shared and still fill you up. They're packed with flavor, one of the top 3 best bagel breakfast sandwiches I've had in Tampa.
