If you are ever up this way. This is a good place to stop. There are not a lot of options this way with restaurants. The service was friendly and the food was good. This is a local spot and a casual place. Everyone knows everyone here. It is a friendly place with a big bar in the middle of the place. The place was easy to find and it had plenty of parking spaces. It also had a beautiful huge tree on the side. I asked the waitress what was good. The restaurant had a daily special. It was hard to choose. She responded with everything. I will say that what I got was good. The cheese curds tasted great and the fish sandwich was good. It was flaky and good. I would get it again. The menu had some interesting choices that I did not get like frog legs, gator, and lobster nuggets. I enjoyed the meal and time here.

I've driven by this restaurant more than 100 times while working but never stopped in. I decided after parking in the lot to send an email and could smell the grills working. I had already eaten so only got the Puny Burger with hand cut fries. I have to say fir the price it was a great value and cooked perfectly. I now to try for dinner the next time I'm in the area.

While in Sebring for the Porsche races, I stopped by The Gator Shack. Sebring is rather void of restaurants, so other than Apex located at the Sebring International Raceway Hotel, this is about it. It caters to visiting tourists with some novelty local Florida and Southern dishes such as gator nuggets, chicken gizzards with homemade gizzard sauce, deep-fried pickles, and frog legs. I must say, I tried the frog legs. They were battered, deep fried to a golden brown and were totally delicious. The other menu items are of the usual suspects of grilled chicken, sandwiches, burgers, wings, etc. My partner had Ruebin and found it very good.

The Gator Shack is about 10 miles east of Sebring on US Hwy 98. Each year we look for a place to eat lunch on our way back to South Florida after our yearly golf weekend at Highlands Ridge, and we finally found the spot! It doesn't look like much from the road and the interior is not much better, but the food is great and the service terrific.We got the fried mushroom appetizer and fish sandwiches. The portions were plentiful and the prices very reasonable. This is old rural Florida at its best. Our only complaint is that it was so crowded that we had to wait quite a while for our food. Not to worry, have one their reasonably priced draft beers while you wait.

5/5 for sure.Will definitely be back. Great service, very tasty apps, and huuuuuge margaritas. Recommend trying the shrimp po boy, fried pickles, and the gator bites, of course!

Went with friends during this past week. No crowds as most snow birds have returned to their roosts. Meal was excellent as was our service. Tea was well brewed and full of flavor. Had a patty melt was absolutely superb. My friends had the hamburger steak smothered in onions. Huge!!!! His lovely wife had the grilled shrimp. All were very good. During the week it is not overly crowded and you can have a conversation with your party. Weekend are a bit more busy, but nothing like snow bird time!!

We went with a couple of friends on Friday. Fresh steak night.....the server brings a cart with different types of steaks and you can pick your own size and type. The appetizers were wonderful, fish dip, bang bang shrimp and fried mushrooms. The loaded baked potato was the only disappointment. Our server was wonderful and very pleasant. They do not accept reservations so go early or late. The steaks start at 5:00. We arrived at 4:30 had cocktails and ordered appetizers. By 5:00 the cart with steaks arrived at our table. All in all great steaks, service attentive and pleasant. The restaurant is noisy and interior is just as named. We had fun and the leftovers the next day were awesome! Enjoy

In one word Excellent ! Our waitress Hannah was exceptional ! It was a very busy Friday night with that said our meal arrived in a reasonable amount of time & hot. We ordered a shrimp dinner, fish dinner , steak tidbits & a child's chicken strips. All our meals were excellent . I've been here several times and have never had a bad meal or service.

Great bacon cheeseburger and fries! Fried chicken dinner is great also! Jennifer, our server, is great also! Can't beat it!
