The Fryer House

Delicious, piping hot chicken! Made to order, so when the food was placed in front of me it was at its peak. They follow what seems to be the new dry spice trend of these chicken joints. For old farts, i mean old school, diners like me, it's taking some getting used to as I learn this new option. New to me anyway. Sauces aren't in! They do have dipping sauces on the side that compliment the spice well. Friendly staff. Eager to please and great big smiles. I felt the chicken was slightly dry, but still pretty darn good. 4 stars because I ordered one thing and got another. Instead of sending it back, I tried what I received and it was delicious. Now I have a reason to go back for my original order.

Mom and pop chicken place. It's located in a small plaza next to a barbershop. Not much parking out front so keep that in mind during busier times of the day. I enjoy that the food is halal. The staff is super friendly and were eager to go over the options. I got a lemonade, the Japanese chicken. Something simple and it was fried and seasoned very well. Reheated it later in the day and it reheats well as well. The lemonade tasted more limey than lemony but I still liked it. Definitely a great place to visit for a quick bite.

Tiniest "wings" ever. Might as well been nuggets. We were floored when we saw them especially for the price. Plus they were Over fried and basically burnt. This spot is too Overpriced when there's numerous other spots in Tampa where you can get wings that are better quality & flavor. Service was fine, very generic. I wouldn't come backReplying to Ash's comment: no one mentioned anything about Walmart. I understand hormone and organic free but sell them as nuggets , not wings. If they're normal size chicken then you're selling the wings of baby chickens, not fully grown chickens. Also , the day WE came the wings were over fried and burnt. Maybe on other days you all fry perfectly but not when we came. But thank you for Your reply because it even more so solidifies why we'll never return to your establishment.

I came out of Yelp retirement to write this review-- PLEASE try the chicken here, you will not be disappointed!I got the Japanese fried chicken (karaage), and I'm being serious when I say this is the best karaage I've ever had and that's including the ones I've tried in Japan. The seasoning for everything (including the fries) was perfect, the skin was crispy, and the meat itself was super juicy. The sauces were also great, and I loved that they had their own recipes instead of just generic ranch or ketchup. Definitely the best fried chicken I've had in Tampa so far!The staff here were lovely as well, this is a very wholesome family business and they really make you feel at home. Even though it's meant more for takeaway, they still have ample seating inside and I loved the unique drink selection with Brazilian sodas. This is a definite must-try!!

Food 4.5/5: ordered the family meal for four! The chicken pieces were delicious! Very well seasoned and nice and juicy. The chicken tenders were slightly on the dryer side, but also very delicious. They're hot sauce is great on the sweeter side. We even had their Halal chicken pastor, and that was amazing! Their chicken Sando is to die for! Highly recommend getting their food.Service 5/5: the people that work there are super friendly and very fast and efficient! They were a lot of fun and we're offering us free samples because it was our first time there.Ambience is more of a casual place with limited seating. The vibes are cool though, and they have a food truck in the back. There is limited parking though. But you can order and take out.

I have tried this place pregrand opening, during grand opening and post grand opening and it's always been delicious. I don't frequent chicken places like this since they usually are over greasy or barely have any meat but this place 10/10. Not greasy, and super juicy with flavor. Love all the different spice levels as well. They definitely get hotter as you go up. The staff has always been super friendly and made a point to say thanks for stopping by each time. If you haven't already give this place a try! Highly recommend

first things first - order the chicken tenders; medium with coleslaw and come back sauce. You're welcome. the fryer house is an amazing spot that the heights desperately needed. a quick, easy go to for all things fried chicken. The chicken is SO flavorful, juicy and fried to perfection. We tried the fried tenders, wings and Japanese chicken and all three were spectacular. Also - don't skip the sauces or the fries. The service was also superb, and loved every second of this experience. We will definitely be back and will be adding to the weekly rotation.

Run, don't walk, here! The service was great! The cashier was very welcoming and polite. He took the time to explain the menu and their special items. The owner served us and he was very nice as well. My wife and I both had the chicken and waffles with fries. EVERYTHING was seasoned to perfection with their special 13 herb/spice blend. The waffle was light and airy, better than a breakfast spot waffle! The chicken had a perfect fry/crisp to it, and was seasoned well! I had a watermelon flavored soda that was soooo good! I ordered their special INJECTED wings to go, can't wait to try those!

Highly recommend the Karaage chicken here. The spice levels are uniquely higher than the average spice but in the spirit of that, the Caribbean habanero spice has amazing flavor and is worth the pain. Chicken is crispy, well presented and the service is super friendly. As far as atmosphere goes in here there isn't a lot of room and is mainly a to-go place. The decor is charming and matches the fryer house name. I'll be trying the chicken and waffles next time I go.

This restaurant is one of the few in the Tampa area that serves zabiha halal (hand cut) chicken. The food quality is top-notch and tasty. The spice levels are toward the higher end of the heat spectrum so if spicy food is not your thing, stick with the mild spice levels. On top of the food being super tasty, the owner and staff are extremely nice and welcoming. I highly recommend this restaurant to both chicken and spicy food lovers.
