Still the best. Amazing Cuban sandwich with incredible rice and beans. I stop here every time I'm in Tampa.

It's hard to believe that this tiny little strip mall eating establishment that claims to have the best Cuban sandwiches really DOES have the best Cuban sandwiches (Well, the best I've tasted) I tried the Sandwich Combo (Choice of sandwich, side, and a fountain drink for $11.99 plus tax), choosing the Angry Cuban for my sandwich and fries for my side. It was just before closing and the counter lady apologized for not having any spicy dipping sauce for the fries, which was understandable.This sandwich was Angry indeed! Easily the best Cuban sandwich I've had. They got the spicy just right. The reason for only 4 stars:The tables were clean but all the condiments at my table were grubby, and some were even sticky. Most of their business seems to be carry out or delivery, they only have 6 or 7 tables. Obviously the tables are not high priority, but cleaning the table top while leaving the salt, pepper, mustard, and hot sauce dirty is just laziness IMO. It makes me wonder about the cleanliness of the entire restaurant. Next time I'll get my meal to go.A side issue:Being asked to tip up front is just wrong. You tip according to the service. Plus, I tip for table service NOT at a sandwich counter! That's like being asked to tip at the deli in the grocery store.Don't get me wrong, as a chauffeur for 30 years, a large portion of my income was tips; for providing excellent SERVICE. I am a generous tipper when I receive service.

5 Stars for the best Cubans and black beans in Tampa. But if you want to be pampered by the staff or impressed by the atmosphere, this is not your place.

As a Tampa native, I have been visiting this establishment for many years. The food is authentic. The Cuban sandwiches, the turkey sandwiches and even the angry Cuban is a must try. Everything is fresh and delicious made to order. I can tell you as a Tampa native All Cuban sandwiches are not created equal. Not to mention the fact that they often cut corners yet. Keep increasing prices. Not here. The prices are still very reasonable and the quality is just as good as it was overall the many years I've eaten here. It's a great sandwich shop and an institution in the Bay Area. If you find yourself wanting a great authentic Cuban sandwich this is your place!

The Cuban sandwiches here are top notch! The amount of meat is generous and it's toasted to perfection. The service is always friendly and timely. This is a quaint sandwich shop who truly has the craft down to an art!

I'm Jeff Smith and my wife Karen and I have been coming to The Floridian on West Kennedy Boulevard for more than 30 years. It gets five stars every time. We get the same meals every time-- for me the large Cuban combo, no end cut, heavy mustard and mayo mix, pressed hard, fries well done, pickle chips and large soft drink. Karen gets a large Cuban, normal mustard-mayo mix, no pickles and pressed normal with fried onion rings and a soft drink. Harold, the owner, also offers numerous soups. Thirty-plus years says it all. Oh, please be generous when you put a tip in the tip jar at the register. The Floridian staff works hard to please you.

The pork sandwich and plantains were fantastic, and we were treated wonderfully by the manager Julia. Truly our quick lunch grab made our whole day. We are so happy right now.

Incredible experience today at The Floridian. Not only was the service exceptional the food was amazing. From the Cuban, to the roast pork, the bean soup, to the deviled crab. Everything exceeded our expectations! The Floridian sets the standard for Tampa Cuban!

Very nice costumer service and truly the best Cubans in the world! Staff was awesome, they even let us in a little bit early. The food was superb, with a true Tampa vibe!

Jared & Julia are amazing! I come in here all the time . No more expensive than any other fast food restaurant around here. Breakfast Cubans at least twice a week. Real laid back people here, always friendly. I love the Floridian!
