The Donut Man

Donuts are amazing only issue we run into is they open at 6 but the donuts are not all ready till around 8ish. If your open it would make sense to have everything ready for when you open. Otherwise I have never had a bad donut or breakfast from this place. 1000 percent with the trip also they are open later which is great.

So this donut shop is not what you expect it to be when the gem is the fresh donuts. It is chinese or asian owned and from what I know being raised in California the chinese bakery serves the best fluffiest donuts around. This place has been around for 31 years and they have a sign inside to prove that. They offer a drive thru window in case you wanted to stay in the car and order.I heard about this place many yrs ago but never got around to it.I woke up sunday morning craving a donut and coffee breakfast. So I drove to this place and the building is sketchy looking but we are here for the donuts right?It is across the Publix shopping center. As you walk in the place is dated from the seating and the way the coffee station is positioned. The shelves of donuts are facing the entrance door and the tags for each donut is handmade LOL some do not match the others etc LOLThey have a coffee and donut special which is $2.50 unlimited coffee and any donut from the shelf except the fancy ones like the ones with decor on them. (Example a peep marshmallow etc)I chose a Strawberry Fritter with my coffee. This strawberry fritter is a popular one. They had 2 left when I came across it. This fritter reminds me of a Funnel cake LOL I expected real strawberries in it like a Apple fritter but I see strawberry jam instead. It was ok. I just expected real strawberry fruit instead of strawberry jam like in between. It is not jelly or jam but its not fruit. I also ordered powdered donuts filled with bavarian cream and strawberry jelly. Those were DELICIOUS Soft and melt in your mouth tender donuts. I would order those again. The staff here are nice. 2 teens and 1 adult were in the front and 2 spanish bakers in the back. They were baking fresh donuts while I observe - adding more in the donut shelves. The drive thru section .. its pretty much a chair placed on the window and they take orders verbally and the register is then punched in for transactions while the 2 teens kinda yell at each other on what is being ordered. This is how they lost a star - To me it looked awkward LOL I even asked the girl that is their Drive thru? None the less the donuts here are delicious. Many patrons ordered 8 donuts which is "cheaper" from what I was hearing and many were ordering the breakfast sandwiches.I may have to try those sandwiches out for $4.25 any breakfast sandwiches. The coffee here was decent. I sipped the colombian and regular coffee and they offer liquid creamers. Come here for the donuts and enjoy them!

You can't miss this place if you're driving down 17! It's not the prettiest building, but theres a reason they've been selling doughnuts for around 30 years. I ordered half a dozen to share for a pretty good price, its $1.50 for one doughnut, and the prices go up from there. They have a wide selection to choose from. The ones I tried were the bear claw, fruity pebbles, and apple fritter, and I picked some jelly filled ones for my family. The apple fritter was so good! I could definitely see myself picking it up for breakfast at their drive-through. The girls working the front were friendly and were helpful in sharing some recommendations. Like I said earlier, the building is old, but you'll be missing out if you let that stop you.

So I looked up vegan in Winter Haven and this place came up as options. I walked in and I asked which ones were vegan and the guy says, "bacon"? lol no, vegan.... so he said ohh, we don't have vegan options. Turned right around and walked out. While this place definitely has the nostalgic vibe, it's also not very clean. Even my non-vegan husband didn't want anything. Hard pass.

The place is clean. The staff were very friendly. My son and his family has recently gone Vegan. I didn't realize the extent until they brought their own food. I look up vegan bakery on Yelp and found this place. I want to get a donut for my granddaughter. She loved it. My son ate his but he said it felt like eating a cake instead of a donut. Well the mom ended of giving her donut to her daughter. I was sticker shock. These 3 donut cost me $16.50! Goodness! Vegan lifestyle is pricey but they seem to be happy. My granddaughter loves it.

Much better than Dunkin Doughnuts, don't upset my stomach, cheaper too! Getting in and out of the parking lot is a chore since the roadway on the left side of the business is only 1 way

I haven't tried many donut shops since moving from the West Coast. I admit. I was spoiled with Pinkbox Donuts in Vegas. So while in Winter Garden, I figured I'd stop by a local donut place. I love checking out Mom and pop shops as I find their donuts usually the best. After seeing The Donut Man on Yelp with the high reviews I figured I'd try them out. They have a makeshift drive thru window but you order at the window. Also, only two cars can fit safely in the line as it is next to the major street. I went in to get my donuts as to not cause a traffic jam. They have a lot of plain donuts and filled donuts. I got 10 which cost over $12 bucks. I didn't think that was too bad until I saw the size of the donuts. They were really small. The twist donuts were half the size of a usual twist donuts I typically get at a donut place or even the gas station donuts. Also, they were not fluffy at all. Not even doughy. The staff were patient and friendly but I don't think this is a spot I'd visit again.

Simply. Amazing. Donuts were all absolutely perfect, breakfast options were amazing, and service was great. I cannot recommend this place enough!Makes Krispy Kreme look like a joke. Dunkin' do nots. 11/10 this place is fantastic.

Donut were fresh and really good! They have a drive thru and also sandwiches.Service was good, accept cash and card. Will go again.

Nice people great donuts, easy to get in and out of I like it their prices aren't bad
