After a nice meal I noticed this place in the same plaza and decided to give it a try. I opted for 12 tiny cupcakes for about $24. 2 each of 6 different types to share with the wife.There is a nice variety to choose from, the decor is nice, the place is clean and there were lots of plaques, awards and press reviews. The service, adequate.As is the case in most American pastry and confection shops the cupcakes were super sweet, most especially the frosting. The cake portions, while minute. were less sweet and very moist.Unfortunately, as an elderly person, I find that I enjoy Asian sweets, cakes and pastries much more since the sweetness factor is much more appealing to my palate. The overabundance of sweetness and sugar made these cakes unbearable to me. I simply scooped off the frosting and ate the tiny cake.I will not let my palate affect my rating however. It is a delicious and eye pleasing product deserving of 5 stars and will delight most patrons who do not have to worry about blood sugar spikes. Come get you some.

Top quality and top customer service My wedding cake was the best cake I have ever had. We ordered the tasting kit, and thank goodness! We had to go with the Puerto rican cake. It was so moist and full of flavor without being too heavy. The staff was available to answer all my questions and made it all easy peasy for me. Seamless Delivery and even put my cake topper on for us, above and beyond customer service. Highly recommended.

Ordered beautiful cake for my daughter's birthday. Sent some photos and had short phone call to confirm what I wanted. Cake came out perfectly and was delicious. Only reason for four not five stars is price. Cost seemed high for the single layer cake with relatively simple design

We had the most wonderful experience with The Cake Girl!! Due to the recent hurricanes, we requested a custom "Lisa Frank" paw print cake at the very last minute and not only did The Cake Girl turn around a beautiful cake exactly as requested, but it was SO DELICIOUS (vanilla cake with Nutella frosting)!! The kids completely devoured the cake and parents followed up after the party to ask where we got the amazing cake. Yes, you are going to pay custom cake prices but I personally believe their pricing is in line with any other local bakery (including Publix custom cakes which I have gotten before). I bought a 15-serving sized cake but it easily served at least 30 people. I would HIGHLY recommend The Cake Girl and I'll be getting our next cake here again, too!

I went there when she first opened. She was my co worker at Publix #524. Her ice cream is wonderful and her cupcakes are out of this world. Her business has expanded to bearss and dalemabry, and all of us that used to work with her, are so proud of her. The ambiance there makes you feel like you want to bake and sample all the goodies. If you need the most professional and expertise on cakes, go to her. I recommend to some customers that want more detailed cakes, at Publix, that we can't do, I send them to Kristina. Please know that she is the best around. I recommend that she be the best of Tampa Bay !!!!

I wanted to order a custom cake for my mom's birthday. I live in another state so my communication was through email exchange. I contacted them in June and let them know what I wanted and the order was completed the first week of July. I emailed them a picture and they let me know that the design would be too big for the cake size so we changed it to another design. They also helped me through picking a fondant or buttercream design. I think they were awesome and captured my mom beautifully. Everyone loved the cake!

Another amazing cake creation, my granddaughter smiled from ear to ear with her unicorn birthday cake and cupcakes,Cake was a hit with the adults too.Our go too place for celebration cakes.

The Cake Girl far exceeded my expectations. We were having a milestone. celebration for my organization planting 200,000 churches. I didn't have a clear plan of what I wanted so it took a few phone calls back and forth to figure out how to get the WOW factor we were going for. Someone from The Cake Girl team sketched an idea and sent me a photo and we settled on that. They were kind enough to take my make phone calls and help ensure it was exactly what we wanted. They arrived on time with a cake larger and more beautiful than I even thought possible. The attention to detail was spectacular. I would use The Cake Girl again for any cake I need.
