The Brother Trattoria is a South Tampa gem! The food is delicious and the ingredients fresh. The brick oven pizza is my absolute favorite. I have visited during happy hour and dinner. I highly recommend visiting for both.

Hidden gem in South Tampa! Finally decided to try this place for dinner on a Friday night because of their stellar reviews and enticing happy hour. Happy hour buratta app hit the spot! The BOGO house wines for $10 were such a great deal and the Merlot was delicious. I tried the lavender lemonade cocktail ($8 on happy hour) which was very sweet but refreshing too! The highlight of the meal was the gnocchi toscano. Recommend that above everything else. A must get!!!!

What a great experience. It's a relatively big place. I sat at the bar and got there just in time for happy hour. They have great specials for cocktails, apps, and pizza. I went with the lavender lemonade, I forget the name but the rolled up eggplant was divivine, and the Burrata pizza. All 10s across the board. The pizza dough was thin but fluffy at the same time. Great flavor. The prosciutto is such a nice touch with the arugula and tomato. I definitely plan on coming back for some of their fresh pasta. Also, anyplace with a bread basket is a win in my book service was quick and Alan was always checking in to see if I needed anything. Loved my experience. I will say, parking may be challenging during their busy house. I got there shy of 530 and there were plenty of spots available.

Fantastic Italian restaurant. It's the kind of place you want to make a reservation for if you go on a Friday night or weekend. There is a bit of an Austrian influence that is hard to describe, but is absolutely fantastic. Worth going for a good date night.

We had a great time at the restaurant. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. I had no issues getting info on the items that were gluten-free. They also have gluten-free pasta as well as gluten-free pizza options. I plan to return to try the pizza. We both had the Bolegnese (mine gluten-free penne and husband's was hand made house pasta), and it was very good. My husband loved the handmade noodles. awe started with the Grouper bites, which were as good as people say it is. The creme Brule was sold out, which was highly recommended, so we finished with the pannacotta. I would highly recommend this restaurant and it's very nice (and large) inside.

When we first entered we were immediately greeted and taken to our table. Our server was very attentive and friendly, definitely what you want to see at any sort of establishment. I was craving the Carbonara so I most definitely had to try it. When I first saw the Carbonara I thought, this doesn't look like a traditional Carbonara. Although, it was a bit on the greasy side, it was still delicious. I also really liked the complimentary bread with the spread, that was a nice touch and definitely worth it. Overall it was a good experience.

Same set up as Matteo's, and it's a nice place to go for a meal on a weeknight. We walked in without reservations and were seated immediately. I think there was only one waiter (I believe his name is Alan), but he was very attentive and could speak towards kitchen ingredient availability and other issues. The restaurant wasn't busy, so we never felt like the lack of staff was a problem. We brought our own wine (corkage was $10), and my husband also orderered a mojito. He said the fresh mint was nice, but there was a fake taste to the drink. Maybe pre-squeezed lime juice? We started with the fried calamari. It was a huge order and included some fried shrimp. The batter was light and crispy. We enjoyed it a lot.I had the burrata pizza, and it was excellent. Perfectly cooked crust, nice quality prosciutto and burrata. My husband had the scampi limone with plain pasta (well pasta tossed in the limone sauce) substituted for the potatoes. He cleaned his plate.

We arrived about 20 min. after opening on a Saturday (5:20 pm ish) and it was already filling up fast, with most of the indoor dining tables blocked for reservations. Despite parking right on the premises, you're required to valet (complimentary). We could see why: Food was so, so good! We haven't had this quality at this price point in Tampa in quite some time. From the complimentary bread and flavorful dip (akin chimichurri, but with sundried tomatoes, and oh so garlicky); to the large Caesar salad with some of the best croutons we've had; to the perfectly-cooked pappardelle bolognese made with 3 types of meat and the decadent lobster ravioli. Wow! All made in-house. THIS is what a restaurant should be like!Service by Mariam was impeccable from beginning to end. Great pacing and always checking our drinks without being intrusive. Her team also looked after us every so often - they have great staff here, working together. It's such a shame that the ambiance was ruined so fast by other diners, though. Other patrons were so loud my husband and I could barely hear each other talk right across from each other. It's not fair, as we know that's NOT the restaurant's fault, but that's why we still didn't knock a star. We would've loved to start coming here often due to the quality of the dishes and service, but may not due to this -- which again, is such a shame. We would love it if they opened earlier, or even had a lunch service, so we could enjoy their excellent food and service again in a more mellow setting.HIGHLY recommend the food and you'll be treated very well by staff, but would not recommend for a date night or a leisure, conversational dinner.

Happy Hour, Happy Soul! I visited The Brother Trattoria on a Friday night to enjoy this rare, perfectly chilly weather in Tampa. To my surprise, there were Happy Hour specials! Till 6:00 pm! On a Friday night! I was greeted promptly and provided exceptional service and recommendations. While deciding what to drink, I was given complimentary bread and oil to whet my appetite. Great bread, even better olive oil mix. So good that I requested more for my entrees and to take home, which was welcomed by my waitress! I decided to order exclusively from the Happy Hour menu since there were plenty of options to choose from:* Artisinal Bread w/ Olive Oil and Herbs $0* Jam's Margarita $10 - Tequila blanco, fresh lime, orange and lemon juice, agave and jalapeños* Burrata $8 - Oven roasted cherry tomatoes with burrata cheese and toasted baguette* Ravioli Fritto $9 - Fried homemade spinach and ricotta ravioli paired with arrabiata sauce* Pesto Pizza $10 - Homemade pesto sauce, fresh mozzarella, sliced tomatoes and chicken* The Brother $10 - Vodka, Kahlua, Baileys, chocolate and freshly brewed espressoI can dive into each item and explicitly tell you what was so great about them but to save you some time, let the pictures do the work and just trust me, EVERYTHING was exceptional. Perfectly cooked, knock your socks off flavor and generous portion sizes considering they were discounted prices for the happy hour special. I only wish the drinks were a tad bit larger and stronger but again, Happy Hour special so it's what I expected. A personal touch I didn't expect but was throughly impressed by was my waitress returning to the table a few minutes after each item was individually brought to me to see how I liked everything. Incredible service.I chatted with my waitress a bit to get to know the restaurant more, to my surprise, she's the owner. It's always commendable seeing an owner of an establishment working the floor with the team. To me, it exhibits passion and dedication. Furthermore, I am convinced owners of The Brother Trattoria are excellent people who enjoy serving the community modern Italian dishes. Without a doubt I am returning here for more Friday night Happy Hours after a long week at work and I look forward to chowing down on the regular menu items when I bring the 10+ people I've already recommended!
