Sadly, as mentioned in several other reviews there is a attitude issue with their employees. They have a very large selection of cookies, cakes, etc that span down 4 large cases that have 4 shelf levels each (not to mention treats in other locations) so it is a lot to take in. Especially when most things do look delicious so you are trying to figure out what you want. When we were asked they could get us, we giggled and I said "Oh I don't know what I want yet". The guy snapped back and said "well everyone else does" and walked away. Umm excuse me!! Then go help the people who know what they want! Which I know wasn't true because of few random ladies and I laughed together that there was just too much. There is no need for that kind of snippy and rude remark. Honestly, I would say they are lucky that Ben did want a cannoli or I would have just left because I don't need that nonsense from anyone where I am trying to spend my money at their establishment. He was an older gentleman, maybe the manager or owner... who cares. So onto the taste test. The cannoli shell was either old or over baked because it just crumbled. The filling was good. We also got an eclair because it had been forever since I had one. Again, the pastry itself was dry but the filling was great. Definitely have had way better and yes, I've had them in NY. It really saddens me that this was the outcome of our visit to them. They really do have so many options that I would have gone back to try but not with bad treatment. There are plenty of other small businesses that would gladly provide great service. Especially for the pricing.

I've attempted to purchase items here three times only being successful once. The cakes and pastries are decent by the service is abominable. I was the only person at the bakery and the two people behind the counter were more interested in heat was going on I believe in the register or their personal business than helping a customer. I literally stood there for ten minutes why I don't know and walked out the door. I decided to try again this time with two people behind the counter and one customer beside myself in the store. I just don't get it. I waited while the person in front of me was being taken care of but there was another person working and staring into space. There are plenty of places to buy pastries who are glad to serve me and happy to take my money. I guess Brooklyn bakery isn't one of them. I did get to taste a few of their items since a friend had premixed and waited there one day but went through a similar experience. They're nothing to rave about. Sweet Caroline's is a much better experience and very good pastries. Being from New York I would expect more from a place like this.

The baked goods aren't fresh and clearly not made locally. They are stale. And the price is ridiculous. I wish I had looked at the reviews ahead of time. I ordered 3 large black and white cookies, 1 slice of rainbow cake, and 1 slice of carrot cake. All it was dry. The black and white cookies should be soft and fluffy like a yellow cake. These were flat and crunchy. I had asked for a cannoli and they were out of cannoli filling. I'm happy that's the case based on the review. Those items cost me $39. So ridiculous. There must be better bakeries in Palm Harbor and that actually make the good. Don't go here and waste your money. You'll be fooled.

Upon entering Lucky Dill, which shares a lobby with Brooklyn Bakery, the customer is greeted by a refrigerated case full of an assortment of cakes. Not just any small cakes. We're talking HUGE, OMG, FEED-THE-ENTIRE-FAMILY-FOR-THANKSGIVING cakes. Yeah."How big?", you ask. Lemme tell ya, I'm talking SEVEN, you heard me, SEVEN layers! So, FIVE STARS for visual appeal of their dessert cases. Sweet Tooth screaming, I promised myself to stop back when exiting Lucky Dill. This is one of those times I wish I had three arms to pat myself on the back for pulling in the reigns and just getting a Small Cannoli (also available in regular size). As I was driving, I held off on the sweet treat until I reached my destination.Iced coffee to wash it down, I took a bite. This Cannoli is a perfect example of how looks are deceiving. It was not fresh. It was not what I expected. However, it was one thing for sure---a disappointment. Also, the clerk was having a bad day, it appeared, as she limited conversing with me to only curtly answer the few questions I had and yell at a coworker. Well, it IS called Brooklyn Bakery. Perhaps they want you to feel like you're actually IN (the pissed off side of) Brooklyn(?)

I bought a large black & white cookie. Way overpriced at $8.00! I asked if it tasted like it was made in Brooklyn where I used to live. Cashier didn't know since she wasn't from Brooklyn. I took a chance & I'm sorry that I did. It was stale & thin .. not like the original.. I would not recommend this bakery.

I found the bagel and cream cheese (6.00) and small ice tea (4.00) way over priced and not worth the money.
