The Bridge, A Locals Bar

So we stopped by after a night of dancing around town. (not our 1st time in)This was a much more enjoyable visit than the last! It was clean and organized and the bartenders/servers were helpful and very friendly. If you need a fun experience and love to watch karaoke this is the spot. Go on a Friday or Saturday as the crowd is better. I will say I had a bit to drink and did ride on the rocking horse and play the guitar Johnny Cash style! I was a night to remember :). Drinks are a good price some are 2'fers and very tasty!We plan on going back this w/e because with will have friends in town for Gasparilla. Have some fun and don't take life to seriously all the time...you never know what people are dealing with.See you Soon!

I went with my husband and my service dog last night. karaoke dj/owner told my husband that he could sing, but he would just skip over me in the rotation because of the dog. My husband also told me that the owner made some remarks about veterans with "issues" needing and being unable to get service dogs. Not all disabilities are visible! So we finished the drinks we ordered as soon as we sat down and left. I was in tears. We will never be back, nor will any of our friends. Anyway, this morning I left a review on their Facebook page with screen shots for the ADA website, but the owner did not have the grace to respond. He just took the review down and BLOCKED ME! The owner is not a good person.

I not only was entertained, but the service was amazing! If you're looking for the best Karaoke anywhere, this place has it all . The DJ was wonderful, bartender was friendly, and thoughtful! The place was clean and tidy. And my drinks ? Well let's say I sang a lot!!! Thank you for making my Monday night so incredibly enjoyable!

This karaoke bar is the place you want to be at. With indoor and outdoor seating, plenty of space on a stage to belt those tunes it's a perfect place to go spend time. Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday they have karaoke on a lifted stage with a sound system and dj. The words are plenty large above you while you face a crowd and the bar like you are performing a real concert. We had a blast watching people and doing it ourself.

ok, we first went there because we saw the Bar Rescue sign. We love the show, and had to look up the episode to watch it before we went. It was cool to see the back story, and where it started vs where it is today. Bear in mind, this is a dive bar. So think dark lights, slightly smaller than it looks on TV, and a few changes from that time. They know consider themselves primarily a karaoke bar, and we admittedly didnt stick around long enough to see that get going on the night we went. They have some really good drink specials (2 for 5 fireball or screwball...who doesnt want a couple of shots??) and a handful of good beers to go along with their mixed drinks. Couple of schmedium sized TVS for sportsball. Service was ok, I come from a high volume bartending background, so just assume everyone can sling as fast as they speak. The tenders there that night could do one or the other, talk....or tend bar. They tended to do more talking than tending....which when you're there to get drinks, should be the other way around. TO ME, get them dranks out WHILE you talk and chat up all the guests at the bar (thats not a bad thing, but get service first), or wait until everyone has their bevs in front of them. When we went, it wasnt super busy, so i'd imagine there could be some good waits if and when that place got busy. I'm sure we'll be back sometime, as its a cool lil dive bar and we'd like to see the karaoke. And its always cool to be in a place where the legend has said "shut this place down!!"

Awesome karaoke spot! The drinks are cold and the music is hot. There are some talented locals here. Pop in for a drink - check it out for yourself. You just might see a legend!

Loved this place! Note the sign. The bartender said no longer had. I'm like what, how can you no longer have it? Lucky for us the manager was sitting right there and showed her how to make one - In a rocks glass. LOL LOL!Anyway, definitely more a dive bar, and lots of fun.

Last night my family and friends went to The Bridge for a fun night of Karoke. We were having a great time , until the " bar manager ", let's call her "Karen" approached us. She informed us we weren't ordering enough drinks, and that if we didn't start ordering more drinks , she would not let sing anymore and ask us to leave. I would like to specify , that we all ordered drinks when we arrived. Some of were drinking our adult beverages, some of us had ordered sodas, as someone had to be the designated driver. We had went there to celebrate a family members birthday. We did order another round, so we could sing our last song. We left shortly after. Although we had a great time, despite this Karen, we will never return again. She had told us we had to have a 2 drink minimum, yet we never saw a sign, and I looked on line. Nothing is on line. Whether we ordered alcoholic drinks or soda, our taps were no less than $35-$40.00. This small establishment was packed for a Saturday night. Yet, she trolled our party. Maybe they should serve food , if they want a bigger ticket. The Bridge was fun, but it would've been better if Karen would jump off the bridge!! I will spread the word, not to go here....because the management sucks!! I hope the owners rethink who they let run their establishment.

i was in this bar a few years ago and just went back this last weekend. I like the family story behind this place and really want it to succeed. unfortunately, it was a s*hole years ago and it is still a s*hole. the staff is intolerable, the person running Karaoke aspires to be ignorant (has not quite reached that level). Overall this is a place to pass by and feel sorry that Bar Rescue even tried to rescue this place. I will wait for an episode of "Bulldozer Rescue" to film them pushing it into the River.
