The Brick House Cafe

I've been here several times and it's my understanding that the place was recently sold to someone else.No major improvements from what I can see. Lots of open seating. Service is adequate and at times a little slow. But they do stay busy there.They service typical American foods. I've only gone for breakfast and can only speak of it.The portions are large and cooked up right. I can't say I've ever left disappointed or hungry.

We came by for a quick breakfast. We did find a spot in the very full parking lot We ordered coffee and water which came right away. We had biscuits and gravy, french toast and veggie omelette. The coffee was good and we did not wait long for our food. The biscuits and gravy full size is 2 biscuits and plenty for one person. The french toast was also well portioned and tasty. The veggie omelette and biscuit was good with the veggie sautéed. The environment is quick moving with waitress being very busy but keeping coffee and water full. Will try some of the desserts next time.

I wouldn't say it's great just ok. My son had the steak hoagie and didn't eat it. He stated it was gross.Breakfast is basic but they use oil, not butter so the bread is gross. Syrup states maple but it's a maple blend. Scrambled eggs are not really scrambled. There shouldn't be white ribbons through them.Hot cakes are good basic, hard to mess up but good.Some of the staff seems to have a real attitude and one has a really big mouth. Lots of complaining. I don't want to hear that nonsense. Most likely will not be back. You can tell they have their regulars and the place is at least clean.

Stopped in on our way home. Good reviews. Pretty busy on a Sunday morning. Had to wait about 20 minutes. Once seated our server was right over for drinks and orders. Tough decision between breakfast and lunch. I landed on the turkey, ham and bacon club. Very fresh and large portion. Side of tots were on point! Deb had the pot roast. Great as well. Very tender and the gravy was delicious Nice local vibe and good food. Worth the stop.

So I have a friend group of about 10 who get together regularly for brunch and one of the members suggested this place. They take reservations and our server was friendly, and funny. In addition, the manager/owner came over a few times to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was quite yummy, particularly the deep fried grits. Essentially a hunk of grits, lightly bread covered with bacon, cheese and optional gravy which we got on the side. Our food came out in a timely manner and everyone enjoyed it. The only reason it doesn't have five stars is the acoustics there are not good. It was difficult for us to hear each other, but with a smaller party it would probably be fine

Always my go to! My fave is the blt n crinkle fries. All I ever eat there is perfect! New owners are promising to keep everything like it is now. If it's not broke. Don't fix it! Glad to hear it too! I also love the servers here! I like to sit in the back area but all the girls are great! Always laughing and cutting up with the customers. Just a fun place to eat!

Sat quickly for lunch. Server came to us fairly quickly. Sweet tea is delicious. Ordered the ham, turkey, bacon club and a patty melt. Side of onion rings and fried okra. Large open room for the dining. Booths and tables. Kinda of loud due to openness but not anything unacceptable. Everyone is friendly. Food is delicious and fresh.

MOM'S FOOD DINER, PORTION, FASTEST SERVICE EVEREXP: Waitress' are so fast and caring and get right to the job. Food was fantastic and came in maybe 15 minutes, easy stuff to make but some specialty items. Busy diner here but everyone is taken care of.

It's an amazing town. Certainly this place is favored as it's packed. We have a 30 min wait for 2 with no reservations = 1 star. I am an iced tea snob and I have to say the ice tea is pretty dang good = 2 stars now. The service was good = 3. Star

Been here several times for lunch and since this time it was Saturday I had breakfast. Food is always good and if something is wrong they replace it no questions asked. Their crispy grits with bacon and gravy was delicious. I should have taken a picture but starting eating it to quickly. Staff is always friendly and attentive. It's a place that feels comfortable. It has that small town feel.
