Lovely dinner near the water, outdoors, in December (!). Only in Florida, lol!A friend and I shared the focaccia, which was really moist and flavorful. She had grouper, which she loved. And I had the salmon. OMG the salmon. I started to cut it and it was so tender it fell apart practically before my knife even hit it. The mashed potatoes that came with it were creamy and luxurious. The Violet French 75 is both beautiful and tasty. What a nice little spot! (Note: The inside ambiance is also lovely!)

We came to the bar at this location for the Burg Wine Battles. So glad they participated for my partner had never had a good meal or experience here until this visit. So happy for I have always had great experiences here. The bartender said they get their food especially their steaks from new vendors along with a new chef who is turning out some amazing dishes. The wine selection at the bar was small by the glass. The wine recommendation by the bartender was fantastic. We ordered dinner at the bar and my partner was amazed how great his steak was prepared, perfect! Elegant decor and wonderful staff and food always make a great night!

As we were staying at the Birchwood Inn in downtown St. Petersburg, it made sense to enjoy our first night close at the Birch & Vine on the lobby floor. The pre-birthday meal I enjoyed at the Birch & Vine was a smorgasbord of epic proportions. Seated in a chocolate brown, half-moon leather booth, with a view of the wine cellar to our right behind glass-paneled dark wood doors, we decided early on that we would order bottles of wine since pricing was half off on Tuesday for all bottles under $150. Viewing the wine menu on a tablet, we chose for our first bottle a splendid one: the Belle Glos Pinot Noir "Los Alturas," which went down fast. We enjoyed that bottle with a Duck Salad, which my wife liked since it was gluten-free. It consisted of homemade Duck Prosciutto, Escarole- Spinach, Fried Walnuts, Blue Cheese, Dried Cranberries, Granny Smith Apples, and Champagne Shallot Vinaigrette. My wife had the horseradish-crusted salmon for her main course, served with Champagne Sabayon, Sunchokes, Spiced Honey Glazed Carrots & Parsnips, and forbidden rice (the gluten-free option). By the time we started enjoying a bottle of Orin Swift Abstract, I was noshing away on Bison Gnocchi with Braised Bison, Wild Mushrooms, and Romesco that was absolutely divine, tantalizing my senses that sent my endorphins into another dimension altogether. The luscious, savory flavors of the bison and mushrooms with the sauce's creaminess were a palate explosion of epic proportions. I also enjoyed the ribeye meatloaf made with additional pork and served with Buttermilk, Mashed Potatoes, Preserved Beans, Wild Mushrooms, and Bacon-Fig Demi.We finished our meal with a third bottle of Penfolds Bin 389, which is the absolute rock star of a wine you have ever had, which went very well with my birthday cake, may I add. Leaving me in a place of spiritual purity and strength, strength and spiritual purity. If you have a last meal, having what we had at the Birch & Vine will fit the bill.

Haven't been to the restaurant part in a while so thought I would update my review. Got a table outside up on the little area outside the main dining room. Not on the sidewalk. Server was great and very attentive. Lots of great sound options with specials as well. We started with a small soup and wedge to share. The wedge salad was plenty for one or share. The Black Garlic Mushroom Tea Bisque. So delicious and deep flavors. For mains I got the special spicy pepper steak with artichoke rice. So good! Cooked perfectly and the risotto was so good. The $50 price tag was a bit steep but it was well prepared perfectly. Deb had the White Bolognese. So many great flavors. This was nice. All our cocktails were really good and great choices for wine. Reasonably priced. Overall a really good dinner, great ambiance and great service.

I had been here once before and we decided to come back for a date night. I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant both times. I love this area and the vibe, and both times we sat outside, which I would recommend. I found everyone I encountered to be friendly and helpful throughout our dinner. Our waiter was very personable and nice. He took my dietary restrictions seriously, which is what I mainly need in my dinner service since I have Celiac Disease. I also appreciated that the Birch and Vine has clear gluten-free markings on their menu, and when I asked about things, it was taken seriously. Anyhow, we had a reservation and were seated immediately when we arrived. We did arrive late because we were looking for parking from 6 pm to 8 pm. is a busy time in that area, and you will have to find parking through Park mobile or Valet, which sometimes becomes full. Anyhow, our food order was timed out well. My initial salad was not appetizing, but they replaced it with a Cesar, which I appreciated. The duck salad was fantastic. The Cesar was great because they served Brick Farms lettuce. It was probably the best Romain lettuce I have ever had. It was so crisp and fresh. Next, the steak and shrimp were good. It was a good cut of steak, and the price point was fair. We had the 1lb baked potato with everything on it, which was also gluten-free.You can sit indoors or outdoors, and there is valet parking on Beach drive as well as street parking with Park mobile. This area is located right across from North Straub Park, which is very pretty and picturesque as well. It's perfect for date night.

One of my friends had her birthday dinner here this past weekend, and we had a great time! Their location is phenomenal. There is so much to do and walk to afterwards, so it's the perfect place to gather everyone for a night out in Downtown St Pete. I ordered the Cosmo martini and a chicken Caesar salad. The worker was really nice and friendly with everyone doing separate checks, which was very helpful. We also were allowed to bring in an outside Publix cake to have for dessert at the end. It worked out very well, and they brought out plates and silverware for us to enjoy. They have a 1 lb potato side dish that our birthday girl got, which looked like it was very tasty! Overall, they were very accomodating. Plus, we got to check out the canopy after to continue the party.

I visited The Birch & Vine with a group of 10 on a Sunday at 5:00. We did not have a reservation but they were so accommodating. We were given a wonderful private room and a server named Zack that was awesome! I ordered from the early bird menu. Went with the soup, meatloaf and sorbet! Everything was incredible! They were so accommodating to our entire group!Would highly recommend for a group or just a couple! Certainly check out the early bird!

Ascending the stairs to Birch and Vine's rooftop oasis is like entering a secret garden, hidden away from the chaos below. The ambiance is enchanting, with twinkling lights and the gentle hum of conversation setting the scene for an unforgettable meal. From farm-fresh salads to indulgent desserts, each bite is a revelation. And with stunning views and a cozy atmosphere, it's the perfect spot for a memorable meal with friends or a romantic date night. The trio was great to sample all 3 Benedict's while the smoked fish dip could've used a bit more flavor.
