First, 5 stars as a guest at a wedding venue. The scenery is lovely, the grounds are well-kept, and the estate house is brilliant. Very cool space for a wedding or event. And the 10pm event shutdown (city noise ordinance) actually helps keep receptions succinct and more fun. However, my overall experience was significantly downgraded by the on-premise accommodations. We had a 1 bedroom duplex unit with a sleeper sofa. We set up the sleeper sofa after the rehearsal dinner and party (so 9-10pm) and found only a fitted sheet and pillow cases. No flat sheet, no blanket. Luckily, we had some extra bedding we brought with us. This issue was rectified the next day by the staff but they dropped off the additional linens in the A unit when we were not present in the B unit. So we had to go to our neighbors and ask if they had sheets for us. In our case, we knew the neighbors but in some wedding parties, you may not have a relationship with the whole group... Overall, the entire design of the housing seems poorly thought out: 2 parking spaces for 8 guests/2 units of a duplex, a kitchenette with many cabinets but no utensils, tools, dishes, etc. (so why would there be so many cabinets?), a big bedroom and bathroom but a tight living room especially when the sleeper sofa is out, and poor soundproofing between duplex units stood out. The other units we saw had other puzzling space layouts too. The number of beds might work for many wedding parties but many others will struggle to find the right way to arrange the pieces of the puzzle. Brides and grooms may want to carefully consider how they'll arrange who stays where before committing to the venue.

Best place for a wedding!!! Excellent staff (extra special kudos to Jess!! She was awesome during our 2-day wedding in January 2024. She saved the sanity of this MOB!), top notch location, Debbie as day of planning was well worth the extra money. You gotta stay at the cottages too!! Made my daughter's event extremely memorable!!

The Adam's Estate offers LODGING ACCOMMODATIONS in the form of on site "cottages" that sleep 2-8 people. You can stay here even if you're not attending a wedding on site. The location is not that far from nearby tourist attractions. This is a great QUIET & SECLUDED place to stay with lots of room and privacy. We stayed in the Majors House which is currently the only cottage on the lakeside. This cottage is 1550+ sq ft with one large bedroom, full bath/shower plus one 1/2 bath, an open living & dinning area, small office, full kitchen, and full size laundry room. Very spacious, cute modern farmhouse style, with dedicated off street parking spaces (x4), long side driveway, great views of the lake and surrounding landscape - gorgeous sunsets! Cottage is located next to the community pool & shuffle board court. Windows are pretty sound proof - couldn't hear guests at the pool. Kitchen has small stock of cooking & eating utensils, a pot and some pans, colander, dinner & salad plates, cereal bowls, mugs and drinking glasses, a few wine glasses. A small stock of disposable plastic cups are provided for use at the pool. A hand mixer and Keurig coffee maker. Dry measure cup set. Dish soap and dishwasher pods. Laundry pods and a few dryer sheets in laundry room. Only 2 dish towels and a roll of paper towels are provided. Tissue holder was empty but we keep some on our car so didn't call for a refill. Bring your own napkins and any extra cooking items you might need beyond what's listed if you plan to cook. We brought extra garbage bags because we had some family over for dinner and used a lot of disposable dishes. We also brought extra paper towels. The stove is electric. Overhead exhaust fan. There is a full size fridge with an ice maker. Oven and microwave. There is a broom and dust pan in the laundry room. Swifter there but no cleaning pads to use it. Bathroom will have a couple small travel toiletries with one small bar of hand soap - so bring your own body wash or bar of soap for the tub and shower if you're staying longer than a day. The claw foot soaking tub is nice. Hair dryer provided. Plenty of towels and wash cloths - 2 dark colored "makeup" cloths. Iron and ironing board, but the ironing board cover doesn't have good padding and it's kind of falling off the ironing board itself. 2 closets. A few hangers in each. Sheets and 2Pillows for the sofa bed are in a box the closet. Safe also in the closet we just couldn't figure out how to use it. Small sofa, chair and 2 rattan sitting chairs in living area. 1 reading lamp. Plenty of overhead recessed lighting. Dining area has 8 chairs and a nice contemporary chandelier. Two chairs on the front porch. AC cools the place down well. Turn it up to 78° when you check out.

From the moment we stepped onto the property at Adams Estate, my husband and I knew that this was the place that we were meant to get married. We fell in love with every bit of this venue between the history, the immaculate Estate House, the newly renovated Boathouse, and the charming cottages. We hit the lottery with the fact that booking here meant we got to work with the incredible Debbie Tennick as well. Debbie is an absolute rockstar, she went above and beyond to make our day perfect and was such a joy to work with every step of the way. The attention to detail that this venue puts into everything they do is unmatched to anything I have ever experienced in the event industry. I would highly recommend Adams Estate to any bride in search of a venue that is going to make their wedding weekend magical, it is truly a hidden gem. We will most certainly be back to stay at the cottages or host events in the Boathouse in the future!

My husband and I were married here July 25th. Eve and her staff were absolutely fantastic to work with. We booked and had a full wedding within 6 weeks! We loved the elegant, peaceful and old southern feel of the main house and grounds, mixed with the industrial and modern feel of the boathouse. Not to mention the view upon entering. Our out of town guest were able to stay at the cottages on site, which were stunning! We couldn't have asked for a better venue. The Adams Estate accommodated all of our wedding needs with their Bridal Suite, Grooms Loft, Ceremony Grounds, separate Cocktail location, patio for a Tent Reception and so many beautiful backdrops for our photographs. Thank you Adams Estate! We are so excited to watch you grow!
