Stopped in for lunch with my mom on Saturday afternoon. Sat at one of the high tops near the bar since they were playing football. My mom and I both ordered the half portion of Bucatini E Polpetti which came with a chopped side salad and house focaccia. The pasta was delicious and I loved the meatball and ricotta with it.Took home Limoncello Cake which was my favorite and Salted Caramel Cheesecake.

Our entire party enjoyed the food and experience. Service was very professional and prompt. I had the Tutta Carne Pizza which was very doughy but still light and tasteful. They could definitely stand to turn the lights up a bit for my preference though. Overall I'll give it a 4, but that chocolate pie - a strong 5. Very delicious. Make sure to use the SouthCore Parking Garage when dining here (just across 2nd street and only $1/hour)

Food is not bad overall. Service is weird, everyone that works there tries to get away from your table as fast as humanly possible. Gotta be ready when they come lol. Business practices hilarious. Really trying to control the food costs. Ordered the $26 tartare, comes with 3 tiny hole filled crackers to eat it with. Asked for more to be able to finish it, took 15 mins to get them and then they charge $2 extra for another two crackers lol $2?? Just charge $30 and put some actual bread on there. Draft beer is like an 8 oz mini taster glass, maybe mention that on the menu? Entrees are good

I came here to write a review about Taverna Costale, which I had only been to once before, to find I had already written one and got the same exact things the last time I went (poor memory on my part)! The first time, the service wasn't the best so I didn't give it a high rating. I figured it might be because it was on a Sunday on a holiday weekend, maybe a fluke. I was right. My husband and I went back to Taverna Costale last night (a Saturday night), and even though the restaurant was busy, the service was excellent!! Our waitress couldn't have been more attentive and friendly. We were seated in one of the circular, romantic booths, which we loved as it felt almost like a secluded dining experience. (I think you can now book these booths online in advance, if you're a party of 2). They have a great wine selection, including some Italian varietals that are harder to find here! The food is the one thing that has been consistently incredible. Their foccaccia is definitely tied with the best I've had in St. Pete. So soft and fluffy, served with delicious olive oil and butter. I recommend you pair it with the Mediterranean salad, which is light and bright with a nice brunch. The roasted peppers and tomatoes really elevate it. The salsiccia e broccolini pasta is fantastic. Amazing textures and a delicious flavor, not too heavy. They will pre-split any pastas you'd like to share, which I appreciate. Lastly, I tried their cioppino again this time. It was as amazing as it looks!! Choc full of frutti di mare: mussels, clams, squid, shrimp, and fish in a savory broth with crusty (but not too hard) bread. There was still barely any fish unit, but I was OK with that, since it was so filling with the other seafood, including nice pieces of squid and shrimp (not just clams and mussels). Glad I gave it another shot! My husband got the pork shank, not pictured, which was INSANELY good. So tender, I couldn't stop stealing bites. We were way too stuffed at the end for dessert. But we will absolutely be back to try it next time!

I have heard really great things about this restaurant so I was excited to try it. Highly recommend making a reservation in advance. The atmosphere is lively and the service is attentive. However, the menu and the food did not blow me away. We started with the mussels and the focaccia bread. The mussels were small and the sauce didn't have a ton of flavor - they were fresh though. The focaccia bread was okay, nothing special. I tried the prosciutto truffle pizza for my entree and was underwhelmed. It was not bad, but there was nothing outstanding about it.

It's an absolutely beautiful restaurant that serves Italian style cuisine. I mistakenly ordered the Cuban and it was jazzed up with things that gave it a tangy taste that didn't mix well for me. My boyfriend's "smash" burger was great and he loved it. The sweet potato fries were also amazing. Expensive and good but not amazing. Parking as you can expect on central is usually pretty difficult especially in the main area.

5/5 5/5 food : Ordered the sausage and broccolini pasta, sausage and mushroom pizza, pistachio cake, salted caramel cheesecake. The food was great! The pizza was very well done with a crispy, focaccia bread. There was just a great amount of sausage and mushroom on the pizza and the cheese was nice and stretchy!. The pasta was really well done and very well seasoned. The sausage gave a lot of flavor to the pasta and the tomatoes also gave a great little zing to the dish as well. The pasta was cooked to perfection. The desserts were phenomenal highly recommend. If you want like a lighter sweet dessert at the pistachio if you want something, sweeter caramel is great to choose. We had our server, Ash, she was great! our water was never empty! She consistently checked up on us to make sure that we were satisfied. She also gave great recommendations.

Checking in for brunch. Lots of good sounding choices. Not busy at all so just stop by and you will get in. Very laid back ambience. Nice and chill for a brunch. So the burger I saw online for brunch was not on the menu but I got the house burger and added an over easy egg. I would have liked a little more flavor in the burger. It was kinda one note. The side of sauces helped. The truffle fries were really nice. Deb got the mezzo mezzo with half salad and half pasta. The pasta was delicious. Italian spices sausage was so good. The bottomless mimosas went down really good as well. Ash our server was amazing. Lots of great suggestions. Very knowledgeable about the menu.

Beautiful restaurant and nice dinnerware. Our server was polite & attentive. The menu items we ordered were not what I expected... they were delicious but also sinful! The sausage & mushroom pizza was really fluffy, covered in crumbled sausage, fancy mushrooms, and lots of cheese (the taleggio cheese on it is so good), & had a truffle parm cream sauce but I didn't really get truffle flavor. The Italian roast pork sandwich was unique and tasty... shredded pork on a hoagie roll with broccolini, gremolata, peppers, & provolone. The fries were kind of like steak fries and had a crunchy exterior. I would love to go back and try new dishes.
