Tavern on the Green

Tavern on the Green is renamed Angie's Kitchen at the Hampton Grille. It is a golfing community Bar and Grill that is moderately sized, excellent selection of appetizers, wings, burgers , sandwiches, and main entrees. Specials nightly include BBQ Chicken and Ribs, Meatlof and Rosemary Chicken, Taco Tuesday, Italian choices, and beef tenderloin. You may want to get there early and some of the local favorites do sell out. Take out seemed very popular, but there were a number of dine in customers.Everyone was very friendly and made sure that you are happy with your meal and beverages, as well as anything you may need. We asked about the nightly specials and were given everyone's favorite night and items.Not on the beaten path, but worth the time to find. Located just east of the Hwy 92 and Polk Parkway East intersection. The online map will take you right to a very nice and close parking area adjacent to the Grille. This restaurant closed as Tavern on the Green and reopened as Angie's Grill. It is inside the clubhouse in the Hamptons Golf Club community. The sandwiches run about $8 and the meals run $12 with a side salad and 2 vegetables. Our only complaint was an over 30 minute wait for the food when we were the only ones there at 4:30. The meatloaf special was filling and a huge portion. The meat itself was bland but the gravy was divine. Both the mashed potatoes and the scalloped potatoes were delicious. The California blend was good too. The corned beef reuben was delicious-ample meat, toasted marbled bread, great cheese, warm kraut. Staff is friendly tho' not quick with food or refills. They run 3 specials each night, with a full menu of appetizers, salads, sandwiches and entrees. I'm unsure of their new hours. They do fill orders to go. Alcohol (at least beer/wine) is served.

The greatest good consistently!!Try their chicken buffet or fish fry on Thursdays and Fridays respectively. They are the greatest!!!Both are fried to a perfection. Every meal I ever had there was cooked to my delight!!The service is delightful!!

Newly remodeled ! Love the decor. The staff is so nice. They really try to get to know all the customers. The food is pretty good with the new cook. Every night there is a delicious special. Thursday night is chicken buffet night and Friday nights is the fish special. I enjoy the grilled chicken entree also on Fridays. The grilled shrimp and salmon is very tasty. One night a week is Karoke.
