Tarpon Turtle Waterfront Grill

Tarpon turtle is a great spot for water view dining in tarpon springs! The deck is super nice and great for pictures, I had no clue how pretty lake tarpon could be!The food is Caribbean inspired and my favorite items were the ceviche stuffed avocado and the coconut shrimp. My only disappointment was the dessert. The ice cream sundae was very misleading; instead of being an actual ice cream sundae, the dessert was a waffle with one scoop of ice cream on top. I found that to be misleading and disappointing. Besides the dessert confusion, the menu was solid and I really enjoyed my experience here and would come back.

Extremely Disappointed!!!!!!!!!Drinks were ordered , we asked the server to give us a minute to catch up.... she then disappeared.Salads & Soup came out same time as our Main Course !!! We felt rushed from the get go! A salad was ordered to split, one bowl was served no silverware, no napkins!Server never came to check on us.... We were a party of 4 haven't seen each other in quite a while, we were in NO Rush!Servicer plopped the check down never asked if we wanted another drink, coffee, dessert!A Special Sunday Afternoon Lunch felt like lunch at McDonald's!We ordered another round of drinks and dessert just as not to have to end our luncheon so Quickly.The restaurant was Not crowded At All... No reason for this treatment. Lastly, the manager came by, picked up the paid check and the cash tip and said " I'm going to take this to her so she can go home" ***Very Unprofessional***Lorraine Garofano

Not our first time there, and it sure is a fun spot right on the water with great views and live music. The restaurant wasn't busy but we waited a bit to sit down. I ordered the Fritada from the brunch menu and was disappointed. It was just an omelette with little toppings. And just a few pieces of lettuce - ridiculous! I could have made it better at home! My husband chose the catch of the day sandwich, blackened and noticed it was a frozen fish patty, not blackened, not seasons, and over cooked and dry. Terrible! Sorry we didn't take pics... was not planning on sharing, but it's been bothering him all day, so I decided to. Think twice about going there to eat.

We've been here a few times in the last year with former work buddies, and friends. Sunday, June 30, we came to celebrate my birthday with a dear friend who drove from Port Richey to enjoy our company and the food. The service was good, and my friend and I enjoyed our entrees. But Husband thought our server, Nathan, could have been more attentive. He seemed rushed, and a large party of ten might have been more taxing than our table of 3. Husband asked about the chicken fajitas, and Nathan said they were good. So he ordered them. But the chicken was grilled - dry, & not cooked with the veggies. The corn tortillas were soft, dried out and falling apart - they did not seem steamed. In fact, when we get fajitas at other venues, they always come out sizzling and smoking, with a rich aroma. Not here. Husband put salt on everything, without getting any flavor. When the manager came by, Husband told him what was not to his liking. He let him know that he was not happy. The manager did offer Husband another entree, but by this time, Husband said he was full. I ordered the crab cakes with yellow rice, and asparagus. All of it was very good! Friend ordered the spinach and mushroom flatbread, and she liked it a lot. She offered me a slice and i enjoyed it, too. But I preferred my crab cakes !For my birthday, Nathan brought me a chocolate tortilla shell with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and sprinkles and a candle on top. I tried to share, but Husband and friend declined to use the spoons provided for them. I enjoyed celebrating my birthday here. Next time, Husband will order fish of a burger. Then I can say we all enjoyed our meals.

The service and atmosphere were both top notch, the food was a lot to be desired. We sat outside in the deck next to the lake and it was beautiful. There was a performer playing the guitar and singing and he was very good and not too loud so we could have a conversation. Our server came right over and was very attentive and pleasant. This is a pretty casual place but the mixed drinks were pricey ($16). We ordered the chicken fajitas and the chicken bowl. Both of us immediately noticed that there were only a few small pieces of chicken in our meals. The entrees were not super cheap so you would expect at least a modest amount of protein. The quality of the food was also mediocre at best. If you're looking for great atmosphere and good service this is your place. But if you are looking for Value or quality food, look elsewhere.

My dad is obsessed with this restaurant so we've ended up here twice in a two week span. It's a beautiful little spot with an outdoor patio - and that sounds miserable in Florida summer but it's been fairly breezy when we've been and they have some fans out there. It's right on the lake so that helps.The buffalo cauliflower appetizer is on point. It's a good portion and moderately spicy. We love it & got two orders for the family to share. You can change the sauce on it if you want it spicier or less spicy. The grilled wings are where it's at. A majority of our group got them both visits. The bbq and teriyaki are phenomenal. The wings are juicy & have a nice little char on them. They come in either six or twelve and I recommend twelve so you can take leftovers. The container they give you for to go is foil so it works great for reheating in the oven. I got ribs one of the visits and they were fall off the bone. Their bbq sauce has a great flavor to it, very sweet. And the fries that come with it are crispy & fresh. Second visit we got dessert, I got the lava cake. It wasn't the best I ever had or anything but it was tasty! Needs a bigger portion of ice cream with it imo. I'm sure we'll be back to visit many times in the future.

Lovely lakeside atmosphere, fast and friendly wait staff, and excellent food! What more could you ask.

We went there for dinner tonight. We were the first table inside and a party of 7. The table that came in AFTER us, a party of 6, received appetizers and then their entree before we even got our food! My bf ordered a mahi mahi Rueben that barely had any fish on it - the thinnest piece of fish and half the sandwich didn't even have fish on it. One of our other guests ordered the shrimp bowl and was served tiny shrimp - most likely out of a can! An extremely disappointing experience. We asked for the manager to come to our table so we could talk to him, but he never made an appearance. We will reciprocate by not making an appearance back here! MOST disappointing!!

Amazing service the food was over the top good the place is super cute and everything and everyone was super friendly and our waitress Audra was super nice and welcoming very attentive to us I definitely recommend this place

Catfish meal was good but it had a very small piece of fish. Crab cakes were mostly filler and spicey. The coconut shrimp was good but we ordered regular shrimp. Children were allowed to run up and down the aisles the while time we were in the restaurant. Neither the parents nor the manager stopped it.
