If you are ONLY looking for some decent Mexican food & you want it go this place may be for you. I don't in dives, if they are can When I have to go to the restroom, I draw the line & say no bueno! Service & food is fair. I believe every establishment deserves a chance. Give it a try it might be exactly what you are looking for.For me, I will take a pass. Not impressed with food, service, or ambiance, not a restaurant a choose to return to.What's a girl to do? So many independent restaurants to choose from & so little time....I will always prefer a restaurant with an inside bathroon.

Best Tacos I've ever had !!! This week I've eaten here twice and planing on coming back Friday tripas are of the chain, definitely a 5 star for me !!

The tacos are actually decent, nothing really special about them at all. But the service, the atmosphere, and the overall cleanliness of the place is undoubtedly poor. Our table was dirty, the floor was filthy, and there were kids running around the restaurant unattended. Maybe if you are just getting food to go, this would be a decent place to pickup some tacos. But other than that, I would honestly stay away I've had better experiences at food trucks, and there are many more restaurants around this neighborhood that serve better food.

Ok, so from the looks of the place I thought it was supposed to be "Mexican" restaurant. I went inside and asked if they had barbacoa, the girl at the counter had no idea what it was so she asked the other girl there she didn't no either, this place is a joke!

The service is bad , I order 3 tacos and I got charge for 6 , the people not speak English or Spanish , the servers don't know the food , I'm not coming back to this place

A bit of a dive-y place, but such great food! I heard the bathrooms are outside, so use your own restroom before you visit. If you order a water they'll bring you a bottle and charge you though! Service was alright, overall not a bad place if you're looking for some authentic Mexican!

Just had their steak tacos with some rice and beans. Delicious!! The place is a small non-fancy place but let's be real here, the non-fancy places have the best tacos. I will be going back.

Before you place your order. Ask to use the restroom. That will show you the mistake that you are about to make. You have to exit the building, go around the parking lot in the dark (at night) and walk into a dark restroom where you will not be able to locate the switch to turn the light on (assuming that there is one) There a very downtrodden look and feel here for a restaurant, even though it is not cheap. If you ask for water, they will sell you a bottle for 1.00 (plus sales tax on water). The order is quite skimpy and it doesn't feel that you get what you pay for; 3 flimsy tacos with some trimmings plus water : $9.10. The staff is courteous and friendly but whoever runs this place has not idea of what a "Restaurant" should be. If you bring a date here, I call you an idiot; if you bring a first date here, I call you a perfect idiot. I love tacos but I will not be eating the ones from here ever again. It doesn inspire me confidence even for take out.

This review is for Taqueria La Costena's sit-down restaurant which opened recently on Columbus Dr. I would say this is middle of the road Mexican food. I've had better, I've had worse. The bistec and carnitas tacos were pretty good. They came with onions, cilantro and asparagus (that's different). Two bucks each. The horchata was OK but, as you can see from my photo, the large piece of ice occupied most of the cup. Service was OK. The restaurant itself was clean. What really soured my mood was the bathroom. You have to go outside, walk all away around to the back of the building, where you'll find tiny, grimy restrooms (No paper towels when I went). If we could give half stars, I'd give them 2.5. Since we can't, I'll round up to 3 with the tacos being the deciding factor.
