Tanya & Matt's Ice Cream

This is one of our favorite little ice cream spots in Tampa. We typically like to take a little family trip here after my kid's gymnastics class or when we're stopping through the TJ maxx right next door. I love the Ube ice cream, I rarely divert from this flavor but the times I have tried something new - it's always delicious. The ice cream is very creamy and the serving sizes are generous. The staff is always super nice and helpful - we've consistently been greeted with good attitudes. The shop itself isn't super large, but they make the most of the space and provide a decent amount of booth seating. It has a family-oriented feel, which is something I really enjoy and why we love taking our little one here.

This ice cream shop has a old time yet modern vibes. Flavors are pretty extensive from classics like Rocky Road to something unique like Junk in the Trunk. They also have classic items like a good ol' banana split or hot fudge sundae. Got a few samples before we made our decisions, Smurf Shake and a scoop of Smurf and Strawberry Cookies and Creme. Smurf ice cream is now one of my new fav flavors. It's blue marshmello ice cream with marshmallows! Few tables to sit at inside and outside of the shop. Friendly staff who offered suggestions. Disappointed there wasn't a water area since ice cream makes you thirsty. Had to buy a bottle of water. If you love ice cream, come visit this place.

Love it here ! Friendly fast service... nice & clean .. lots of variety - overall highly recommend. It's conveniently located in Carrollwood besides a TJ Maxx & of course I always go shopping afterwards.

Best long term local ice cream spot in tampa. I'm in my 30s and I remember visiting this spot in highschool. The quality has never changed and the ice cream is better than ever. If you like homemade ice cream spots with TONS of flavors, this place is for you!

They have a lot of amazing looking flavors! I love that it's made in house too. I got the cookie dough and was a little underwhelmed with the pieces, though good texture they lacked someFlavor for me. However, the dark chocolate bits in it were a hit. They also offer shakes and have plenty of vegan options (shakes too)!!Lots of parking and some indoor and out door seating.

The ice cream here hits the spot. They allow you to try as many flavors as you want. They have more than 50 flavors and several toppings! I love the coconut ice cream. The cookie dough is also excellent. The prices are fair and the service is solid.

This is a local ice cream shop that my children and I love to visit. We come quite often so I honestly forget to show some love for in the words of my son, "most delicious ice cream of my life." He's a bit dramatic but not the point. The ice cream is legit. You will pay more than your regular store bought or like a soft serve, if you start adding toppings then of course it can get pricey. Something we say a lot you get what you pay for... With that being said we come as often as we can so next time I need to remember to actually take the picture of the Ice cream before we eat it.

Always the very best ice cream in Tampa. We've enjoyed 20 plus year's of ice cream fun here. Tanya and Matt has only gotten better quality is top notch.

Don't let a little chill in the air stop you from enjoying delicious, homemade ice cream from Tanya & Matt's! Their White Chocolate Peppermint is unbelievably good and perfect for the holiday season. Pair it with some gluten-friendly toppings like I did or their fancy peppermint cone like my friend did. There are so many flavors and toppings to choose from... you can't go wrong!

I took my grandkids here for the first time. They have a great selection of icecream. Everything was delicious. We will be back.
