Tampeño Fish and Meat Market

We went to Tampeño before the Florida Derby between Inter Miami and Orlando City and it was such a great place! I had a mojito that was super good, and my friends got beers and spritz they all loved their drinks. I was craving something sweet so I got the tiramisu and it was amazing!The place has a really nice vibe, with both indoor and outdoor seating. The service was great, and we even have a friend who works there! We definitely need to go back, especially to try their brunch looks so good. Can't wait!

I visited Tampeno Fish and Meat Market on a Saturday night around 6 o'clock with a party of three. We were seated immediately and it wasn't too crowded in November 2024 as this place is recently opening for business in the evenings and it isn't crowded yet. They did a beautiful job with the build out and design of this restaurant!I ordered the endless summer salad, which was excellent. The only issue was that I ordered it without dressing and it came with dressing, and I was told that they couldn't do it without dressing which I would've rather known prior to ordering. The cod croquettes were very good, I didn't even use the aïoli that they came with. You were served three of them, but I really wish they came with more.The truffle fries were very good, hey they are truffle tries... The octopus entree came with a yucca mash and asparagus. What was a little bit different about this octopus? Andrea is that the octopus was already cut up so it wasn't a whole tentacle. The tentacle was served on top of the yucca mash, which was very good.. I've had better flavored octopus, but the entrée overall was good. There were many items on the menu that I wanted to try so I can't wait to return and try additional items.

Chef's kissService lost one star as the server was oblivious to the empty coffee cups.I had the grouper, another had the Tampeño Cuban and another the original Cuban.Two of us had the cafe bombom- delish.My grouper tasted like maybe frozen and undercooked. I expect fired food to be golden brown- my grouper was pale.Sandwich comes with fries that were cold.I didn't taste the other two sandwiches so no comment.Would I go back- yes- I want to try more. Plus this is a new spot so who knows- maybe they will improve.

FIVE Stars! One of the BEST places for Cuban fare, Old West Tampa favorites, and Seafood! Nice people! Fair prices. The Zarzuela de Mariscos is incredible! Clean accessible restrooms, dining room, and Parking. Deserts are delicious. Treat yourself and go have dinner there!!!!!

The ambiance is elegant-cozy. We chose to go for breakfast at 9:00am on a Monday. We were their only customers. Our service was fantastic! Even though there were many choices on the breakfast menu they all seemed very similar. Basically eggs, potatoes and sofrito. Their Cuban bread is amazing!!

My mom suggested this place so we decided to go for lunch. Beautiful restaurant, very inviting and great atmosphere. I ordered the Churrasco and initially it was more cooked than I requested but I let the waitress know and she was so kind about it. They brought me a new steak and it was cooked perfectly. The manager came out and personally apologized which I really appreciated. Great establishment that I would love to return too. Seems like a great place to gather with friends or family.

Yay! A game time haven is new again. This original site is back to serve Tampa, young and old. Although the only gluten free option is French fries- they were hot, crunchy, fresh. The Cuban looks meaty, but throwing a bit more roast pork never hurts. Also, mayonnaise/mustard mix and flatter pressing is much appreciated. Why so many suggestions on a 5 star review? I don't want a visitor coming into my town and ordering a Tampa staple and not having the best. You got this! Go Tampa, Go Bucs, welcome Tampeño!

Food and service outstanding. This place is a winner. Highly recommend.Ate before last Buc home game with my wife, son and grandson who came up from Miami for the game. My grandson was a big fan of Goody Goody, but now is a big fan of Tampeno!

This place was excellent, great service and food. They will grand open soon but near that by going now.

Wow! Been eyeing this really well decorated and cute curb appeal restaurant for months. Finally got a date night out and it was outstanding and reasonably priced! The meatballs were the best we've ever had. The grilled Cesar and beef roll were fantastic. Compliments to the chef and staff!
