This is one of your hole in the wall places inside of a small little store. I had some high hopes since the reviews were quite high. However, I was a little disappointed with the quality of the food. Food: Al Pastor Tacos (6/10): I got this with cheese. So the corn taco was wrapped in another corn taco with cheese between it. This was quite delicious and cheesy, and I loved that. The pastor was cooked well with a nice crisp to it. But where it took a turn was the flavor of the taco. There was not much flavor, which is what ruined it for me. Typically, I am expecting each bite to be burting with some flavors with the salsa, cilantro, onions, etc. But this didnt have it, just the flavor of cheese. I wish it came with hot sauce, as there was no spice to it. Quesa Birra (5/10): My wife initially said she liked this, but when I tried it. This was something else that lacked a lot of flavor. Just like the al pastor taco, this was wrapped in cheese. The consomé tasted like water soup to me. It lacked the salt and spice in it. After a while, my wife said her stomach was hurting, so something was not adding up.Overall, I was disappointed since the reviews spoke so highly of this place. I probably give it a 5/10. It's worth checking out if you are in the area. But I am not sure if I will go back.

The BEST tacos in Florida hands down! I was so excited to dine here since it had been 2 years since our first visit. The authenticity and flavor of these tacos is insanely delicious. The Quesa Birria features loaded shredded beef and melty Mexican cheese, topped with cilantro, onion, salsa, and perfectly cooked tortillas. The birria sauce is like Mexican French dip juice - OMG finger licking good!

We love tacos and I have to say these are the BEST and most authentic tacos we've ever had. They are packed with flavor and you get yours money worth of meat. They fill them full with meat and cheese. The tortillas are homemade! We tried the queso birria tacos which is as shredded beef taco with melted cheese in between two tortillas. I've never had something like that before and it was sooo good. It comes with a delicious dipping sauce too. My favorite was the quesa asada which has the same tortilla with cheese in between but filled with marinated steak. It was juicy and so flavorful. We will definitely to try the rest of the menu and buy some other items from the store. Tampa Taco is located inside the El Rancho Groceria in West Tampa. It's owned and run by a local family. Go give them a try!!! Classic Quesobirria Tacos

Located in a little Mexican bodega, and only open two days per week, Tampa Taco is the place to go for all things birria and also tasty drinks. I went for the birria ramen. I placed my order, and then browsed around the bodega (where I bought all the different types of chiles I need to eventually make my own birria -- I hadn't been able to find these in any of the usual grocery stores). It took about 15 minutes for my order to be ready. The birria ramen was served in the ramen cup and thankfully wrapped in Saran wrap. Not a drop spilled on my drive home. The ramen was very good. The noodles were a bit soggy as they kept on absorbing soup. But the flavor was awesome. I appreciated that they gave me a small container of chili oil to add since birria itself is pretty mild, and I like everything picante. There were a couple slices of avocado on top for a creamy texture. The meat was very tender. I also had a mango melon agua fresca. It is served with a Tajin/Chamoy rim and a scoop of mango sherbet. It was super refreshing and also sated my appetite while driving home.I'm so happy to have finally had the opportunity to check this place out. I can't wait to return to try their crunch wrap and classic quesobirria tacos.

New addiction. Kind of thankful they're only open Friday & Saturday 12-9, or I might become something resembling a Crunchwrap. Everything here is ON POINT. Customer service, recommendations, everything has been delicious & we've so far tried tacos (steak, chicken), nacho fries, Crunchwrap, quesadilla, guac/chips, agua Fresca. They have a menu but consistently have other offerings, so ask!!Located in the back of El Rancho on the corner of Chestnut/Habana & everything is served to go, feel free to eat the second you hit the curb, I've seen more people snacking out in their cars, truck beds, on the sidewalk... part of the experience if you don't live closeby and you won't be sad about it. The food is fantastic.

Can be tricky if you're unsure what you're looking for but they are actually Located inside of a corner store bodega! Parking available on the street walk all the way to the back and you'll find a small counter taking orders. No tables or chairs inside or out for dining-to go only. Made to order to be prepared to walk thru the isles as you wait. We tried the birria ramen which had sliced avocado on top, a pretty large portion and very tasty. The tacos were nicely stuffed and had plentiful onions, cilantro and salsa on top. The asada fries was a hearty large portion with lots of toppings, eat this first because the fries will get soggy if you wait too long. Overall filling and very flavorful!

Parking is kinda scratchy (street parking). Walking in the grocery store, everyone is very nice. However food took a little over 20min even though i was the only one there, and the ramen was not as good as I expected. The birria was good though. Also the agua fresca was a good summer drink!

I was RIPPED OFF!!!!!I would give No Stars if I could!Ordered 3 Birra tacos & 3 Asada tacos for $13 each. After I paid, I was told they were out of Birra tacos, so I changed that to 3 Chrizo tacos for $10. When I asked for my $3 refund twice, the guy said Too Bad, no refund. It's not about the amount of money, it's that they completely refused to refund anything.I like the food but their customer service sucks!Avoid this place at all cost, unless you want to get ripped off like I did. You can find just as good, if not better, tacos anywhere in Tampa. And with better personal service.
