Tacos El Primo

Wow! The other reviewers did not lead me astray. I stopped in to grab takeout for lunch today, and it's up there with some of the best birria I've had in a long time! They were busy, and the location is a dive, but it is affordable and flavorful. I'll be back to try some other things for sure.

Don't listen to the yuppies who're trying to convince you that you need to go to some fancy restaurant and pay $5 for each taco. Not even each set of tacos but each. individual. taco! Nope, the best tacos are found in this nondescript convenience store that's called Rainbow mart. And boy, is there some gold to be found at the end of this rainbow.The tacos are cheap (please stay that way after this review) and SO delicious. Plump pieces of fish or shrimp will load your taco, fried or grilled to perfection and accompanied by a ton of fresh veggies. Look, I had my reservations about what a convenience store could cook up, but rather than the limp hot dog vibes of AM/PM, you'll get a taco that tastes as if it was prepared in your mama's home. The ample sauce, practically electric with flavor, will keep you licking your fingers long after the taco is gone. The burrito is also worth getting. It doesn't play around. The thing comes stuffed to bursting with veggies, beans, cheese, and whatever else you want. Have no fear, the lightly toasted tortilla will keep it all together while being chewy, soft, and with a little crunch. Honestly, I might start booking flights with a layover in Tampa for every trip, because this convenience store - so conveniently located mere minutes away from the airport - is with the stop over no matter where you're going in the world.

I have had this place on my radar for over a year. Last night , my friend decided to host his birthday celebration here so I finally made it to Tacos El Primo. It is inside the Rainbow Mart on Westshore Blvd. therefore, there is no ambiance . They have 2-3 tables. Most of the business is take-out. They put up enough tables to accommodate our group last night of about 30. They were cranking out the food. Tacos, burritos, quesadillas, salsa, guacamole, chips, queso, homemade fruit juices , etc. It was fantastic! This place is legit. Run don't walk! Insider tip, they get slammed at lunch. Hit them up before or after the rush. Also, I hear they opened up a second location on Henderson.

Food 5 Stars Ambiance 3 Stars Service 4 Stars I had to be more specific. Obviously, I went there for the food only. And it absolutely did not disappoint. Some of the best taco and quesadilla I have had in a very long time.It is inside a little market. Absolutely nothing fancy with a few tables in the back. You are right in between the coolers with beer and other groceries. Of course, you can also do takeout. So the ambience is not really anything spectacular, in fact, I will probably not eat there again. Would just take it home. The service was really good and friendly. And I learned that they just opened up another location not too far away. But let me tell you again, the food was outstandingly good.

Wish I took a picture of my fried fish taco. But as soon as I opened the box it was gone :) This place is inside the rainbow market convenience store and very unassuming. Don't miss out on such a hidden gem! I only got one taco otw home to make dinner and I'm so happy I did. I will for sure be back to try more. Their red spicy salsa is sure to burn the booty hole in a good way!

This is a hidden gem of mouthwatering deliciousness. Nestled in the back of a supermarket with tables for patrons to dine. Food tasted fresh, and authentically spiced.

super fire and affordable I can imagine eating this after a night of drinking. And there's a smoke shop and munchies in here. Beef so tender broth so good.

I finally dropped in to try their tacos and boy I was not disappointed!I had three:1. Al Pastor 2. Chorizo3. CampechanoAll were equally delicious. I got them to go and they came with rojo and verde sauces and two little lime wedges. Ther are a couple of round tables inside and two outside if you prefer to eat your wonderful food right away.This has become my go to taco place.
