I have only been here once and it was in January. I do want to go back I just haven't gotten over there again on a Sunday. It's a beautiful farm to visit. We did have fun the time we went. However from what I have heard, this market used to be more exciting and upbeat. It sounds like there is a need for help to keep the market, and the farm running. The day we went I was underwhelmed with the amount of vendors. I thought there would be more people to buy stuff from. I did enjoy the vendors that were there! I also tried a star fruit for the first time ever here.I do plan to go back at some point. Hopefully our next visit is a little more exciting then our first visit.

Sweet Water Organic Community Farm hosts a farmer's market to the public every Sunday from October until May. The market is pretty tiny in comparison to other farmer's markets in Tampa, but it offers all of your basic market essentials. Organic and local produce, plants and flowers, fresh eggs, raw milk and cheese, freshly baked bread, organic coffee beans, raw local honey, hippie clothing, handmade jewelry, and soaps and lotions are available for purchase from noon until 4 p.m. at the Sunday market. My husband and I visited the Sweet Water Sunday market on opening day (October 18th 2015). Available parking was scarce during our visit; I'm not sure if the market is normally this busy on other Sundays. We brought our fur baby to the market (Note: pets must wear leashes!) and he enjoyed meeting the other dogs. During our visit we explored the gardens and visited Sweetie the Pig and the chicken coop. It didn't take us long to browse the vendors and the farm. Once I purchased my fruits and vegetables we ordered a Rasta burger with avocado and a green smoothie. The burger was very tasty and had a nice spicy kick. The green smoothie was good too, but I wish it was served colder. We enjoyed our burger while listening to some live music on stage.TIP: Bring cash! Most of the vendors do not accept plastic. This probably won't be my go-to Sunday farmer's market, but this tiny and charming farmer's market is worth a stop if you are looking to buy locally.

After reading about the Sweetwater Sunday Market from a vendor on Facebook, I was excited to give this place a try.Plenty of parking was free, and their webpage made it very clear which spots were available for use on Sunday. The market had a small stage set up with live music, with many seats available for customers to purchase food and eat it there, or to simply sit and enjoy the performance. I heard they did a farm tour from 1-2, but we missed that.Unfortunately, the vendor selection itself was a disappointment - just not enough vendors to make it a worthwhile trip. Two jewelry sellers (one with really cool felt rattles), a fermented tea seller, a fresh pizza seller, The Dancing Goat - with fresh dairy products and soap, a loose tea seller, some tie dyed clothing, a pet treat vendor, and the vegetable stand which sells farm tee shirts. I'm sure I've forgotten some, but that was the gist of it.I'm certain the amount of Vendors changes depending on the weekend, and it was very cool to see the farm's gardens all sprouting, but I probably won't be back.

The Saturday organic market is slow stroke relaxing location. Meeting the farmer, pickup a few organic items, listen to the live music, enjoy the vege product. I like their vege burger that cook with extreme spice mixing. You will not know this is a vege burger by the time you have finish. I have the rasta burger with avocado. We enjoy our burger and the live music from the local artists. It is country, gypsies, farmer mixed. A little corner of the metropolitan that set a side for down to earth place.

Sweetwater is a small, 6 acre organic farm inconspicuously tucked away in a small neighborhood off of Hillsborough Avenue in Tampa...Every Sunday, they have a farmers' market with local produce, merchants, and performances. They also have numerous community events throughout the year - lectures, workshops, drum circles, yoga...They also have a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program - buy your share early, because they sell out.I bought a 1/2 share membership of the CSA, and I pick up at least 4-5 grocery bags of fresh produce every 2 weeks - it's a wonderful thing!

I had fun checking out the Sunday market (the last of the season) and the property. It's a neat place with some cool plants and areas to explore, for example pineapple, sapote tree, papaya tree, rope swing sippy hole, some nice Florida jungle plants and flowers, a herb garden in planters, and lovely stands of produce, soaps, cheese and yogurt, eggs, seeds, bread, pizza, veggie burgers n smoothies, ice pops and music. It was a fun experience. The address given is unhelpful because it drops you on the wrong side of the farm where you can't park. You have to enter off Hanley and turn onto Comanche. Sweetwater definitely has a hippie vibe and everyone was very friendly and nice. There were some very positive vibes and some beautiful people trying to live right. Worth supporting. Jah mon.

Framer Scott educated students from the Junior Chefs of America. He explained organic gardening and took them into the garden to see vegetables growing. He cooked a quesadilla with the vegetables they picked. The students ate hibiscus petals-pickled okra and jalapeños and drank a special tea made from flowers. A fun experience for all who attended
