The Dominican food at the food corner is an absolute must-try! Located right at the entrance, they serve packed boxes with mixed rice, your choice of beans, plantains, and protein options like chicken, beef, or oxtail. I personally rotate between chicken ($7) and beef ($10)--it's hard to believe you can still find such a hearty meal for these prices!During the holiday season in December, they even offered hallacas. The place is always busy during mealtimes, so you know it's good.If you have a love for Latin flavors like I do, I highly recommend checking this spot out!

I came here and ordered food to go. It's based on weight if you get food in a container vs a combo meal. We ordered boiled yuca, sweet plantains, black beans & rice, white rice, chicken breast chunks with sautéed veggies in a delicious sauce, and two Jarritos. It was about $54 for this and it fed 5 people (3 adults and 2 kids). We had some left overs. I'm excited to try it again! I wish I knew about this place before. I work nearby. My bestie is from PR and her family comes here for to go good sometimes. I want to try more hot dishes, check out produce and desserts.

If you're looking for a great cup of Café Con Leche look no further. This happens to still be one of my favorite spots to grab a nice fresh and hot cup of Café Con Leche. I like mine on the sweet side and out of the three spots I like to get this drink from in Tampa, Supersaver Supermarket has the perfect amount of sweetness in each cup. They have an assortment of hot fresh food available first thing in the morning. I sometimes am there as early as 7:30 am and can always find something to eat. They have some breakfast items available, but they also typically have other hot foods like baked chicken, fish, and even oxtails available. You can also get a Cuban sandwich. I would give the hot breakfast food a 3/5 and the other hot food I've had a 3.5/5. They have cold foods like pasta salad and desserts like tres leches as well...all available first thing in the morning. For someone who works overnight like me, this is helpful so I can grab breakfast, lunch, and dinner all at once. Great customer service is one of the key reasons why go back to an establishment. I am an amputee (hand) and the staff at Supersaver Supermarket have always assisted me without me having to ask when I order food and drinks that may be a lot to carry. I've always appreciated that about this establishment and for that they always have a customer in me.

A little of everything you needs. The team is friendly and bilingual Spanish - English. There's a fabulous restaurant that serves homemade latin food. If you want a taste of home, you'll find it here. There are a few tables if you want to sit down, but lots of people or to go. The grocery section especially got my attention. There are butchers on staff preparing the best quality meat. That alone will take your humble weeknight chicken dinner straight on to greatness. If you cook, you can find spices and staples for your pantry. Then there's tons of fresh produce. Do yourself a favor and stop by.

My sister kept telling me about this place where she got amazing food, and there was a line out the door and around the corner. She couldn't remember the name or how to get there...only that the food was very inexpensive, amazingly delicious, and everyone was incredibly polite and friendly to her. When she finally recalled that the place was called Super Saver, I thought she'd lost her mind. But here we are, and she was right!Part grocery store, part cafeteria takeout counter, all fantastic Latin fare. The prices are pretty amazing. Everyone is friendly. very limited seating, but everything is packaged for take out. The avocado salad was amazing, and the roast pork was pretty good. I went back in the late afternoon a few days later and got the last piece of some sort of baked chicken, for less than $3, and it was soooooo delicious. If they served dinner, I would stop there 2-3 nights a week on my way home. They serve breakfast and lunch...get there early.

If you are looking for authentic Dominican food, you should stop by here. They have an amazing avocado salad and potato salad. They have Ox tale, chicken and beef. Additionally, they have a grocery store area where you can buy food and personal products. Definitely a great place to check it out. They have a small area for sitting and they do not serve you. Don't expect anything fancy but the food is really good!

This place is one of your typical Latin American supermarkets that carries a large selection of Latino grocery food items you cannot find at larger grocery stores. The plantains are cheaper here, and you can find specific cuts of meat for your Latino dishes. By the looks of it, you wouldn't think there was much to this supermarket. It's at the corner of a plaza among all the other plazas on Fletcher. But this particular supermarket has a small "restaurant" inside! Take notice of the food station directly in front of you as you walk in the front doors. This is where you go first- don't even think twice about it.I've been here on 3 separate occasions, two of which were for breakfast. This is my place to go for Mangu, a traditional Dominican breakfast of mashed up boiled green plantains. It's super filling and tasty, always leaving me so full throughout the day that I often forget to eat lunch. Mangu is typically served with fried salami, fried cheese, eggs, red onions sauteed in apple cider vinegar, and/or avocado. Take your pick of what you want to dress the mangu. They have all the fixins' here. I get mine with everything: salami, cheese, scrambled eggs, and onions on top. They are very kind with their serving sizes... $4.25 usually gets me a heavy to-go container of my mangu special. The other time I visited was for lunch. I ordered the pernil (roast pork) and it was so juicy and delicious... I ate a quarter of it on the way home and still had plenty left over for dinner for two and lunch the next day. Absolutely wonderful. You'll see lots of different types of people in here on their way to work, picking up breakfast or lunch to-go. Make sure to visit early in the day if you want the good stuff for breakfast. Once they run out, they run out! Also, be advised that you cannot pay with a credit card if your purchase is under $5. However, you can use a debit card for purchases under $5.

We went there again yesterday about noon, the place was packed with people waiting in line for their hot food. Such a great selection of hot foods, constantly bringing out new pans once each pan was getting low or empty. The workers were extremely friendly, knowledgeable and worked well together. The prices are incredible and reasonably priced. You can literally make 2-3 meals out of each box of food. The plantains OMG are the best I have ever had. Driving 20 minutes just for the plantains is well worth the $3.50 gallon of gas :) Thank you for your service! If you ever made this place into a full sit down restaurant you better be well prepared for workers!!!
