An excellent down home style diner. Nothing fancy but the portions are perfect and the food is even better! Locally owned and operated small business that does what it takes to earn your money. Definitely give them a chance to show just how excellent a small diner can be.

This is our go to place for Sunday brunch. Friendly down home service, comfort food. We like their omelettes. Only 2 eggs vs 3 and it's just the right size. Last visit I ordered the daily special creamed chipped beef over toast with included coffee. It was just like my Mom used to make. Nothing fancy here but locals love this place.

I would not recommend this place and the last three times I was there had to wait 20 minutes to get waited on three times. They said they were busy, but there was a lot of empty tables and the food was not that great and all the waitresses was worried that is giving you your bill to pay they hardly came to the table. To asked if everything was OK. And they charge you for everything you asked for an omelette want home fries you have to pay a separate charge for the home fries do you want toast? You have to pay an extra charge for that not like other restaurants where you get the omelette with home fries and toast. no extra charge.

Went for the Friday fish.The place is dirty and trashy looking.Sloppy dressed employees and the food was bad.The baked cod was old and tasted bland. Even there seasoning was bad. Very poor choice of sides other than the baked potatoes.Also folks need to know the Sugar Shack takes unused sour cream and tarter sauce back to serve to future customers. How frigging sleazy. Sits on the table getting warm and they take it back and serve to someone later. If you think you have a extra sour taster sauce or sour cream YOU DO!!!!!I would not recommended this place.

Friendly atmosphere. Close knit dining. I enjoy the elderly people. Their smiling faces and watching the couples interact. The waitresses are generally very nice. The food is home style type food. The friday haddock fish fry is fantastic. Always new oil compared to other places in town

Absolutely filthy restaurant and employees that are rude and not friendly at all. Had to wait for a long time even though they had tables available. The food came out burnt and inedible. The waitress never came back to fill our drinks until the very end when we had to get up and ask for our bill so we could leave.

Food good and portion size's excellent fir the price will return! Place is busy you can go to counter and sit without waiting if alone!

Absolutely the worst hole I have been to in a decade. Dirty, rude, long wait, cold food, high prices for the quality, just all around terrible.
