Steak ’n Shake

I must have hit them on a GREAT DAY, Sunday, June 25, 2023 @ 1300hrs. I timed the drive thru. I had 4 cars ahead of me and from the time I ordered to the time I takahomasacka, it was 4 minutes. I ordered two cheeseburgers w/ Xtra cheese, a large fry, chilimac and a medium drink. They gave me so many fries, they literally filled up half the takahomasacka. Everything was piping HOT and cooked to perfection. The drink was cold though. THEN, the next day....TODAY....my neighbors went to get milkshakes @1700hrs and they were CLOSED. WTH? Anyone know why they are closed now. My neighbors said that there was yellow tape around a portion of the building.

Wow. What a huge mistake it was going here. Saw cars leaving the drive thru, but pulled in to order anyhow. Cars were pulling out of the lineup ahead of us. When we finally got to the speaker, it easily took 5 minutes for someone to ask for the order (and no one replied to us). I can only assume when I ordered the burger they actually slaughtered the cow and prepared it based on the time it took. I was just in from the airport and was there 30 minutes. (Check out my phone report)I suggest they hire someone who isn't a mute to work at the drive thru window. Didn't say one word. And when I did get the food, it was the wrong order.I didn't have another 30 minutes to go back through. Please, please, please, do yourself a favour. Vote with your dollars and avoid this sorry excuse for a restaurant. And if the franchise ever reads these Yelp reviews (and why wouldnt they?) they should shut this dump down.(Drops the mic)

Steak & Shake provides burgers, fries and shakes at a reasonable price. It's never fancy, and they're not the best burgers in the world, but for the price and with the addition of Frisco sauce, who cares? I'll always be a fan of the Frisco melt and the milkshakes are consistently good. I haven't had any problems with order accuracy here, unlike some locations up north, but like other locations, it's oddly slow for fast food.If you're looking for a gourmet burger this isn't the place for you, but if you want a shake and a tasty melt with the convenience of not getting out of your car, Steak & Shake is "A-OK."

Shakes here are amazing 3-5 is happy hour, which means 1/2 off. The hamburgers are ok. Not all bun like most of the fast food places. The fries are pretty thin. Shoe string type. Not a favorite. Chilly was very hearty and flavorful.

Usually this Steak 'n Shake is decent but our last visit was awful. I ordered a single steak burger with ONLY onions and pickles, and I knew she understood because she proceeded to ask me, "so no ketchup?" We sat at our table for almost 35 minutes before our food came out and I realized there was mustard on my burger. I knew I asked for only onion and pickles so I was confused. I let my waitress (my receipt says the name was Jennife S) know and she immediately got an attitude with me. When my new sandwich finally arrived out, it was obviously sloppily prepared. There was mustard smeared on my "fresh" plate and my burger bun was not toasted at all. I was upset and very disappointed. She did nothing more to fix the problem besides giving me a mediocre burger that they most likely spit on in the back because I complained about the mustard.

Do yourself a favor and don't go here. My boyfriend and I were excited to get food here because we rarely stop by. Well, we should've avoided it.Went through the drive thru and after taking our order we see 3 vehicles sitting past the window (waiting for food after paying? Idk), maybe it very difficult to get close to the window to pay.We probably waited a good 10 mins for someone to even take our payment or say anything to us. Horrible experience. Food was disgusting, ketchup and mustard dripping off the burger and mustard all over the bag and burger wrapper. Also- no napkins! So that was fun, thank you. Whip cream on my shake after specially asking for none. Forgot our drink with the meal we got.I don't know why it is so hard to produce a simple order but I will not be back to find out if they get it right a 2nd time .

I decided to try this place as I recently moved here from the west coast and had never seen this chain. I went in expecting something similar to In-n-out, McDonalds, or another fast food chain. Instead, it is more like a diner with waiters and seating. It was surprisingly crowded at 2 pm on Saturday, but was seated with 10 minutes upon arriving.The burgers and fries don't compare in quality to In-n-out on the west coast, but I do enjoy the wider arrange of burgers and options to choose from. I do prefer the shakes over in-n-out shakes. This is most likely due to the greater variety of shakes they offer (In n out only has vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry). I had the mint oreo shake.Overall, an okay experience. The regular sized shakes are big and tasty. I would probably just come back for the shakes if anything.

It was chunky and tasted weird i think it was spoiled the place inside was dirty all the tables were dirty and the fries tasted like sewer I expected better 1 star

Burgers just don't taste like they used to. They are missing that steak flavor taste so apparently they've compromised.

this place doesn't even deserve a rating. the type of employees they choose to have working there making their place of business look so freaking bad is just absolutely insane to me. it's not okay to go somewhere and spend over 20 dollars on food and be treated like shit at the same time. my food was not made right the lady at the drive through kept slamming the drive through window in my face giving me nasty looks never gave me my milkshake and I had to sit at the window and wait for my food for almost 20 minutes . 30 dollars of food that went down the drain. of course I called and spoke to a manager that took my number down and never called me back that's just terrible business. they allow their employees to be terrible I guess. fast food places and the service is getting way out of hand and seems like the managers could careless. until their business eventually goes out because people stop going . I'll never go back to this location ever again.
