I hope everyone had an amazing Valentine's Day! We celebrated our love at Stans Epicurean on Reddington Beach and had a phenomenal experience! It's a 5 course pre-fix meal and you choose your entree from a few options. We Started with fresh Raw Oyster topped with Strawberry Mignonette and beautiful edible flower. Next was twice baked Gruyère Soufflé with Chives and Parmesan. This was absolutely delicious and reminded me of a large Starbucks egg bite, obviously much better. Velvety on the inside and the creamy sauce was exploding with flavor. 3rd course was a visually stunning Arugula Berry salad with Citrus Caviar and Balsamic Reduction. For our main course, I got the Lobster Thermidor in a Cognac Cream Sauce and my love got Pan Seared Duck Breast in Port Wine sauce. We also added a Filet Mignon, which was cooked to the perfect temperature I requested, rare-medium-rare. Dessert was a gorgeous Strawberry Tramisu, likely the best I've ever had! Service and staff was wonderful. The owner stopped by our table and we had great conversations with him. AWESOME PLACE! The food and service were impeccable! We thoroughly enjoyed the entire evening, and beverage selection is extensive.The menu changes every week, based on Chef Tony's selection and preparation. Our waiter/ server was first-class, all the way!You will not be disappointed, and hopefully enjoy it, as we did; can't wait to return quickly.Will update review with a couple of photos, when time permits.

As someone who has worked in hospitality for over 8 years, I can truly appreciate the experience of this restaurant. Every week the menu changes and you are provided with a 5-course meal, choosing only between 2 options for your main entree. When we went the menu was as follows:First course: Oyster Trio The oysters were very fresh and delicious! Pallet cleanser: Blood Orange SorbetVery refreshing after the oysters before the salad. Second course: Heirloom Tomato & Burrata The salad was one of my favorite parts! It was served with smoked tomato water Pallet cleanser: Lemon SorbetThird Course: Filet Mignon with Lobster Risotto & Broccolini The filet was one of the best I've had. It was also served with a dark chocolate sauce which was incredible! Fourth Course- Triple Chocolate MousseBottom layer was crunchy dark chocolate crumbs, second layer was dark chocolate mousse, third layer was milk chocolate mousse, and the top layer was white chocolate mousse. The service and ambiance were excellent. The food was exciting and good. The watermelon salad was creatively delicious. The value for the money for a tasting menu is great. This place is located in a cozy spot on gulf Blvd. with parking on the street and in the rear. The owner is very helpful and accommodating.

I've been a couple of times and the food is always interesting and tasty. Because it's a splurge for me to go, I want to make sure that every plate on the menu will be something I love or something I'd like to try. I also know that my picky eating habits aren't a reflection of any chef's masterful work. Today, I didn't finish an early dish that I really enjoyed because I was afraid I'd get too full, then didn't really eat much of two others - they were delicious; they just didn't work for my palate. I shouldn't have been surprised when the chef came out to make sure I was happy - this really is a classy place that makes you feel special as a diner. I recommend it for any special occasion. And if sweet vanilla cream is on the menu, jump in! I regretted that I have no sweet tooth because I only ate a few bites, but it was creamy and lovely and lighter than air. Bravo!

My husband took me here as a surprise birthday dinner (also our first date night since baby) so I was really hoping for a romantic night and my expectation were exceeded!! From the minute we walked in and personally greeted by name I was impressed. Mike, our maitre d', was phenomenal! For a Saturday Night it was not very busy! The menu was Fixe & Limited like 3 medium shrimp on an entre and half a chicken on the other? The courses were appetizing but little attention to details and garnish! The salad small had little flavor in the dressing and there was more bitter than balancing with something sweet!The pasta was delicious and the shrimp tasty!The chicken was good size and flavorful but the tomato sauce was very thick and had no flavor of mushrooms and truffles! The dessert of berries and whipped cream was presented nicely and in depth flavor! Overall the dinner had much merit but not worth the price!
