Spring Garden Chinese

Just moved here and probably one of the chinese spots I've had in a while but I also only got 2 basic things. The fried rice and chicken wings were really good and I can't wait to try more stuff on their menu and everything is super cheap! Ignore my half eaten wing lol.

Ordered online & even though I had to provide my cvv # from credit card, I still had to sign slip at delivery which makes this a contact delivery, if you're worried about that. I paid my tip online but the slip included my tip in the total & then had a blank spot for the tip, so hopefully I'm not charged extra. I dislike leaving bad reviews but the food warrants it. I ordered the pepper steak & side of small fried rice w/ shrimp. The beef had a strange taste & the green peppers were so bitter, like they weren't cooked at all. The shrimp fried rice was tasteless. I put it in the fridge & said "see ya in 3 days when I throw everything out." Overall, sorry to say that my order was overpriced $23+, late 15 minutes, & inedible. I won't be ordering here again, but hope you have a better experience than I did. The deliver driver was nice, that much I can say.

The food is mediocre but disturbingly it looks like they are running a day care in the small dining area. It's all junked up with kids toys, a kids chair and a cot! See my pics. While I was there .. no where to sit. Five kids four years old or younger, some going into the kitchen area around hot food. This is unsafe and unsanitary.'

Ordered lunch delivery of General Tso's entree, 2 shrimp rolls, an egg roll and a pint of shrimp fried rice. The chicken BADLY over cooked close to rubber. The shrimp & egg rolls, tough, hard to bite through hard to chew. Shrimp fried rice? didn't eat it.Delivery ? Got to my house in the time promised, but spent the next TEN MINUTES!! walking around my front yard. I ordered delivery, because I NEEDED delivery. I'm not very mobile. Driver didn't speak any English OR understand simple hand gestures. Called restaurant when the driver started to leave without delivering my food. No one spoke English. Thought that I was going to have to call my credit call. Final point especially pricey for quantity and quality.

Nice little place with great food, serving sizes and prices. Their General Tso's chicken is very good! Easy to order food online too.

The food was delicious. The delivery was on time. The selection is excellent. It was still hot when it got here.

It does the trick. Just like any other NY styleChinese food. It's affordable, fast, and good.

Good serving size for the price, their orange chicken/ sweet & sour chicken plates are the only things I've tried so far, but I've enjoyed it!

Tonight I ordered and the food showed up on time. The rice was under cooked but don't worry! I called them and they made it right. Very happy with the service and customer loyalty.

Being from NY it is hard to find good Chinese food in St. Pete! But I will say that Spring Garden has excellent food! Always fresh and always hot! This is a typical Chinese restaurant with owners who have children so the children are present most days. They are always very sweet and kind! I don't mind them, also it's nice because when I bring my children they keep busy. I give this restaurant 5 stars compared to all the other Chinese take out places in St Pete. Who cares if there are children and toys, it's a TAKE OUT SPOT NOT A FINE DINING EXPERIENCE!
