I was expecting to see 50+ 5 star reviews on Spivey Farms' Yelp page and was shocked to see only one other review. Spivey Farms is truly a hidden gem. On our way to Tampa from Orlando, we stopped in Plant City. The location was about 15-20 minutes off of I-4. Upon entering, an employee introduced us to the business' concept. They provide quart-sized containers for your use while picking and you transfer them into a container of your own. They recommend you bring a shallow container so the weight of the strawberries don't crush the ones at the bottom. Each quart is $.50 and you pay by the honor system in cash. For $3.50 we brought home 10 lbs of strawberries. Pro tip, we noticed some of the biggest, most beautiful berries at the back of the fields. We will definitely be back every year!

We went to this farm today for their first Upick of the season. It was busier than I expected but the employees managed to keep people moving towards parking and paying in the fields. We picked one flat and four quarts. It's 0.75 a quart for the Upick berries. What a great price! We also bought some ears of corn for 0.50 each and a beautiful red bell pepper for 0.75. We'll be back!

Had a great time picking strawberries here yesterday! We went over to the back field and it was so overfilled with plump, juicy, amazing strawberries, it was awesome. In 20 minutes flat we had picked about 12 cartons of berries to take back home with us.The employees here are so friend and kind. When it came time to go home, our van wouldn't start, and an employee quickly offered to jump our car. Also, .50 a carton? Come on! You can't beat that pricing. Now I'm swimming in strawberries!

I took my boys strawberry picking here and we had a great time! The strawberries were plentiful and delicious. Having never been strawberry picking, I had no idea what to expect. I truly felt "on the farm". They gave us each a quart to pick and measure then you bring your own container to dump them into. We bought 12 quarts for $6! Completely on the honor system. We could have stayed all day and picked. The knots enjoyed it. I'd recommend wearing close toed shoes, sunscreen, and water bc it gets hot in the sun!

I've been coming here for a couple years now. My son and I enjoy picking their delicious strawberries. The family that owns the place are super friendly and helpful. I suggest going earlier in the day when the heat doesn't get too out of control.

Very fun place! My son was in Heaven there! We enjoyed it so much. The strawberries weren't very sweet this year, though. I'm from Kentucky and grew up growing strawberries and picking them. I may be hard to please. I remember them being so sweet, like nothing else. These strawberries weren't as sweet as the ones in Kentucky. Nonetheless, they were $.50 a quart. We picked 10 quarts. We made chocolate dipped strawberries. Highly recommended. Very fun day!Bring something to put strawberries in. I had a cooler. They hand you the quart containers to pick strawberries with, you don't get to keep the containers. I kept my trunk open while we picked. It worked well. They use the honor system when you drive through the check-out lane. You tell them how many quarts you have and pay them. The picking area is clean and aisles are clearly distinct. The plants are above ground in mounds. You shouldn't have to worry about critters, snakes, etc. because of the way it is set up. Very nice place. Lots of kids there.

This year was the 2nd year in a row that we came here to pick strawberries. The field is not too crowded and the price can't be beat. You get to pick as many strawberries as you would like for 50 cents per quart. You need to bring another container to transfer your quarts into, as they give one quart sized container to each person picking. Then we you are leaving you tell them how many quarts you picked and pay for them. They also have huge strawberry onions for sale. I don't remember the price for them, but I remember they were cheap. We will be back next year!

Nice weekend outing for the family. Kids will enjoy it throughly. It's cheap to do strawberry picking here. We were charged 50 cents a bushel. Strawberries were not bad at all, parking is ample. This is my second year and I intend on going next year as well.
