What should I do when a certain event planner silences me from speaking my Truths about the issue we have following my wedding? Her "team" lost numerous items of decor: projector, chargers, my wedding gifts and some cards which had checks for gifts and then didn't do her job of setting the room up with simple instructions. The room looked like a hot mess. Her staffer was rarely seen, barely completed the "decor set up" as guests eagerly arrived and then after damaging my property, losing my property, they have gone radio silent after this morning post was removed. Why was it removed? There are vendors out here that screw up and/or do crappy work and people like me should be able to voice the truth about my interaction and people like me who spent their hard earned money on pin the tail on the donkey decorator should hold them accountable in front of their peers and customers, past present or future. I have disputed my charge for this so called planner, special moments event planner is their name. I posted tons of pics so I won't waste my time just yet BUT anyone can message me and I will be happy to forward the mess they have caused and the fraud in their services. There is no accountability. There is no customer service. There has still not been any communication about the issues outstanding with me and my new husband to the owners of this shop. The only replies I have received, you might also have received, and that is because they pride themselves on their nonsense reviews for couples who pay over $10000 for their services. (Your getting screwed!) she was definitely not worth the $1100 I paid her either. If you hear the name Shauna I promise just say NO. She doesn't take any notes, she doesn't have any decor abilities and surely is playing above her pay grade. It seems I'm the one who has to call them out on their shotty staff, services and owner. One may have won awards among her peers, but based on my post silently disappears, it is apparent that these reviews are rigged and the wedding mafia has struck again. Special moments event planning your a joke for the little people like myself. I would never have paid the rates for your services. I had high hopes cuz I was in a pre-wedding haze. Now I'm in post wedding battle. And let me also say my family friends and my new family and friends were the sole reason I didn't go 305 on their asses, while I yanked their vendor plates from their lazy hands. I'm sure this won't last an hour on the group even 2am but I'm hoping if I do it enough times and have my friends family also cut and paste the same reviews that we can break this stupidity of not letting everyday people speak their peace. I'm not going away on Facebook so as a result I will continue to speak the truths about the incompetence, unprofessional handling of client issues (valid issues) and then stealing my funds and very possibly my property (cards and gifts included). Think it's impossible to believe I think it's possible. I think it's real. I think it's a travesty. I think they are an overrated, overpaid, dive bar flunkie planners who proclaim #1 status but it's all about who ya know: wedding sorority who rules these groups. So before I'm removed yet again and kicked out from helping one person say NO, screw these idiots and their antics. I'm letting my credit card handle what they can for payment withheld. It's only fair as they lost damaged. Then I go to small claims. Two can play ball , so consider this is my first homefun. Just having one person read is phenomenal. If you are thinking of saving the expense of a wedding planner and trying to do it all yourself... DON'T!! First, Special Moments are most affordable you will find for what they offer. Second, it is well worth the expense to have expert wedding planners like Tammy and Petra take away all the stress on your wedding day so you can enjoy every minute of it... cause it goes by quick! I didn't even know the cops showed up in response to a noise complaint, or that my dad was late getting to the ceremony to walk me down the aisle! We never ran out of anything, and all the vendors did what they were hired to do, so we didn't need to manage a thing. We could just enjoy our special day with our family and friends. Finally, whatever it costs to hire them, you will get every penny back through their excellent recommendations and vast inventory. They saved us thousands of dollars by recommending an amazing caterer at a per person cost that other vendors couldn't believe he was charging. And their vast amount of decor inventory for every taste saved us hundreds of dollars on new decor - plus who wants the brain damage of having to sell it all on Craigslist after the wedding? Petra is one of the hardest workers I know, and I wouldn't trust anyone else with the most important day of my life. She was on top of everything at all times, and the day could not have gone any smoother. And she deserves an Emmy for the most memorable part of our day - when she helped play a prank on our best man by telling him I wasn't coming. Tammy, Shauna and the Special Moments team are all incredible! Initially we had debated getting a coordinator thinking we could do it on our own but immediately after meeting Tammy we knew we wanted them to help us with our big day! They did an absolutely amazing job! From getting us the cheapest rates, to turning a plain room into a gorgeous design, to making sure everything ran smoothly the day of they did it all! We have not stopped getting compliments about how beautiful the wedding was and a HUGE part of that is because of how great the Special Moments team is. They were always in contact with us, super organized, helpful in answering any and all questions, gave us their honest professional opinion and incorporated what we wanted to have at our wedding!
