Made another stop, beat steak tips around and look at all this stuff on sale...Practically stole some beautiful rib eyes only 14.99 a pound left over from holiday roasts get in here now and get your MEAT on!!!

Tried to charge me 24.99 a pound for ground sirloin. Ridiculous. I've also purchased NY strips before Chewy and Nervy.

I had great fun and even better dinners after shopping here for the first time! Everyone who helped me was friendly and full of good advice. They even got me a steak from the back since what we wanted wasn't in the display case meaning they had sold many steaks! Sea salt, fresh cracked black pepper, garlic and a little avocado oil in our well seasoned cast iron pan. Bam! 3 minutes a side on medium high, rest for 5 or 10 minutes, and a perfect crusty, seasoned medium rare was the result! Hungry yet!? Easy peasy! Super delicious and enough for several meals and a lunch sandwich for me! This was with the very affordable wagyu sirloin and not with a fancy, huge porterhouse or NY strip that I might typically purchase from a butcher!I shopped right before closing on a Sunday but there were several customers and we had no issues!I can't say I'm an expert but I know what I like. Life is good with wonderful steak!

For the last month and a half we've purchased all our protein and many sides from Southern Steer. I hate that it took the pandemic for me to find them but I solemnly swear I'll never buy meat anywhere else again. They have great tasting products for great prices and have daily specials!We've tried it all from the marinated steaks to the chicken breasts/thighs, the sausage, ground beef and chicken wings. They have great deals daily and really awesome value combos. This week we opted for their special five meal deal. Smashed taters are delish as well!In addition to having everything your local butcher should, they also cater, have deli sandwiches and paninis, some specialty shop items for sale and they even teach prep classes where you are guided through recipes and given the ingredients needed for 10 family sized meals. Each meal is individually bagged and labeled with cooking instructions!I can't wait to take a class once quarantine is over!

On a whim, we opted to go to the butchery and pick up steaks to grill for the evening meal. While we were there, we looked at all the fresh meats they had ready, including the seasoned breasts of chicken, the sausages and the kebabs. Everything looked so tasty. We opted to pick up 2 steaks and 3 breasts of chicken, two cajun and one garlic. On the grill these thick breasts turned out delicious as did the two steaks. We were really happy with our purchases. The store carries more than just meat though. There is honey, there are specialty items and so much more. Treat yourself by stopping in, you'll be happy you did.

I'm in love with the meal prep classes. They're fun and the meals a very tasty. I'm single so this the perfect way to spice up a meal for one.

My daughter drives 20 minutes to get meats from this butcher shop! Usually when she is grilling out. Over the last year I have sampled their meats every time I visited my daughter and this visit we stopped by the market together. I was impressed by the size of the store and the variety of specialty foods in addition to standard meats. Like most butcher shops- they usually have a deal of the day, but the rest of the prices are generally higher than a supermarket. That reflects the quality of the meats- so that is fine by me. My daughter bypassed the special of the day and went right for the steaks that she wanted. Meanwhile- I was picking up some sarsaparilla soda- a rare treat in my world. I can tell you the marinated meats are simply phenomenal- chicken, burgers, steaks- mind blowing, drool between bites good!

Lots of interesting items, out of the ordinary. Steaks looked great but still a little too pricey. We bought two large pork chops with plans to stuff them and in just two days they had soured. Disappointing... also bought shrimp skewers and they were a nice change. Staff were friendly and very knowledgeable. The store was very well organized and clean. Really disappointed in the lack of freshness on pork

Expensive but worth it. Can always count on a quality piece of prime at Southern Steer.
