Southern Fresh

Southern fresh hands down the best fried chicken in this area. We have eaten here many times and took a break for a short time. They are back full press with wonderful service and very fresh food. The mashed potatoes and green beans that came with the fried chicken meal were also cooked to perfection. Husband had the seared pork chop and he said one of the best he has had in a long time. Tender and just right seasoning. Pork chop was a large portion and price point nice for serving size. Wish I would have snapped pics our party of four was hungry and we dove right in. Southern fresh has hung in safety harbor as an anchor Restraunt through thick and thin.

I really enjoy dining at Southern Fresh. I have eaten here a number of times and I think they're one of the better restaurants in the county. I enjoy the days when conditions are nice to sit outside to enjoy my meal. Patio with the fire pit gives it a nice appeal. The most important thing that I need to get to is the food! I was there last week and I usually have a habit of ordering their Southern fried chicken which is always good but this time it was piping hot fresh out of the skillet and it was AMAZING!!!! I love fried chicken and I think this fried chicken was the best I ever had!

My second visit in a couple of yrs and I was truly disappointed. First the menu is limited due to the hurricane and $2-3.00 more. Ok I can afford grace. I ordered the fried catfish 2 sides and the white meat fried chicken with two sides. The catfish was old and seems to have been fried in old grease as my hands were dripping with grease. I was really looking forward to my meal after my first visit was so great. I guess it will take businesses time to recover so buyer be cautious. Staff was friendly which counts for stars given.

Cute southern restaurant. Seating inside and outside. The staff is very friendly and the food is tasty. We enjoyed our fried chicken and mash potatoes.

The food was amazingly delicious, the service was great, Victoria took care of us and she was so sweet and kind to us. The ambiance was great, we sat outside and enjoyed the view. I definitely recommend this place if you plan to come to Safety Harbor for vacation

After years of solely ordering the pan fried chicken, because it's that damn good, we have finally tried the coal fired marinated chicken and the mahi mahi. The mahi was hands down one of the best pieces of fish we'd ever had in our lives. So incredibly flavorful and well balanced. The coal fired chicken didn't disappoint either, a great way to taste what this place does best but healthier. The greens still hold up as the number one side dish choice for sure.

We were seated fairly quickly on 3rd Friday (super busy street fair kind of thing that Safety Harbor does every month) and our server was great. We had outside seating by a large fire (happened to be a chilly night in February) which was really nice. The food didn't live up to the ambience and the service, however. The deviled eggs were not that flavorful and they were watery. We think they were maybe frozen? Their fish spread was fine if you like mullet. Mullet's not my favorite fish because it's a too fishy for my taste. I ordered the chicken sandwich which came with a VERY small piece of breaded thigh. I had to spit out gristle three times. The breading where it was crisp, was very tasty and the bun was good; the chicken- not so much. I will say their collards were very good and I'm super picky with collards. Others in our party ordered the meatloaf and the salmon and expressed both dishes were fine but nothing special. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be returning and that sucks because we value local food over big chain food any day.

I ate here in early February. They are still Operating on a limited menu. Sad but it looks like they are on their way out.

Best chicken I've ever had. Best all around place and small town vibe. Plus the juiciest and most crispy chicken you'll find around. Go here if your around safety harbor

Their fried chicken is great and service is good. The menu over the weekend was very limited but the chicken was what we wanted anyway.
