SOL Mexican Cocina

Today a group of old dudes and I did lunch at El Sol Restaurante. I had the Chili Rellenos. Really tasty. Three chilis filled with cheese and sauce. Also came with rice, beans, tortillas and fixings (lettuce and cheese). The waitress was very friendly and they handled our group of 15 perfectly.

Authentic and delicious Mexican cuisine on the east side of Wimauma, Florida. Great selection of traditional options. The price is fair considering the quantity and quality of food.The restaurant is clean but could use a cleaner restroom with soap and towels or other hand drying. The staff is astute and always ready to help. Highly Recommended! I will continue to eat here.

A great hidden gem in Wimauma. It's a no frills place that is always busy. We've had the tacos, chimichangas, tostadas and the Guatemalan tamales. I will warn you that the Guatemalan tamales are HUGE and sometimes have bones occasionally. This is a favorite place for us when we're craving Mexican food

My brother and I got the Mexican tamales and Guatemalan tamales and shared them. They were both amazing. This place has great food, friendly service and nice outdoor seating. They have indoor seating but we chose to enjoy the weather outside.

I am so glad we found this place! Melt in your mouth barbacoa and carnitas. Full of flavor. Al Pastor and carne asada were both really good too. Four tacos $8.00? I'll take that all day every day! Their guacamole very fresh and tasty. My wife had the grilled fajita mix. The carne asada was a 1/4" thick steak! So many shrimp. Well worth $20. Had to bring it home it was so big. Must go back!!

This restaurant located in Wimauma. East of the Sun City. We were here for the festival and have the to go lunch from this restaurant. This restaurant is one of the best in Wimauma. We got carne Asada. The carne is sliced steak. Not a big piece of single steak. It is stir fry and accompanied with salad and salad. Taste is good. The second dish is what we want. The whole fish. The dish call Mojarra. It is fried whole fish. The fried whole sheepshead fish. It is tasty too. Overall is a good experience. Great restaurant.

Food was great.Takeout we were able to take it out and it was well packagedPromptness we had scheduled a time and the food was ready and hot and fresh.

Hands down the best taco stop . Every-time I'm in the area I have to make a pitstop ! Authentic, real food , great customer service ! Been coming for years now !

The food has always been good here - made from scratch and quite affordable. Maria has done a great job fixing up the place. Now you can sit outdoors at picnic tables under palm frond umbrellas and often a neighborhood chicken or rooster will strut by. The indoor seating is also very nice, especially when it's too hot to eat outside. The staff are always very accomodating and friendly. I also love being able to support a local small business owner instead of going to a big national chain restaurant.

Always a great meal! Breakfast dishes are especially good! Lots of Mexican restaurants nearby, but we always come back to SOL!
