I've been a patron of this pizza joint since 2002 - well, it may have changed names/ownership over the years, but the taste is quite like I remember it to be. I stopped in on a whim following an appointment several weeks ago and learned that they still have their amazing 2 slices and a foundation soda for $5.99 deal during weekday lunchtime. A few weeks later I have returned with my infant son to enjoy a small cheese and pepperoni pie - a pizza only I enjoyed, since he is much too young for any such deliciousness. The bill was under $11. It's not a glamorous restaurant (far from it) but you can't beat the price! Closest to NY pizza that I've found in the area; will definitely be back!

I guess this is a don't judge a book by its cover situation. I thought the pizza here was above average. Food: We went in and got the $6 special (2 slices and a fountain drink). I really enjoyed my slices. Good crisp at the bottom with a little bit of a char. The ingredients were tasty and had a little zing to it. All in all good slice of pizza. Service/decor: The service was friendly and all but I assure you they are not winning any kinda of interior decorating awards. But I get the feeling that doesn't matter to them.

You have to try their pizza!! It's amazing. This has to be the best pizza I've had in FL. This compares well to Brooklyn style NY Pizza. If you're within an hour of this place it's worth the drive. Try it. You'll thank me later

Excellent pizza!!! One of the best places in the area to get New York style pizza. They have a margarita pizza which they typically do not do with red sauce but rather with white sauce. We get it with red sauce and it's soooo good. The best part is the amount of garlic that they add to the pizza. The picture included is prior to Covid however we have ordered carry out from them since and the quality is just as good, the pizzas are hot and the service is excellent. I would highly recommend!

I used to think that Slice Masters had pretty good pizza. It still does - not great, not fantastic - pretty good. But that's not really why we used to go there...Their garlic knots were AWESOME! AMAZING! INCREDIBLE!Key word here - "were." And now, they're average in every way except one. We think they have the same recipe for the knots - the dough. Very good.But their toppings have gone thin. Real thin. Very light on the butter-like sauce. Very light on the parmesan cheese. And EXTREMELY LIGHT on the garlic.So we learned to ask for extra sauce, extra parmesan and extra garlic. That was okay for a few months and now - LIGHT, LIGHT, LIGHT.Is it possible that it's a new owner? Maybe new chef? We're now in search of the best garlic knots in North Tampa. Any recommendations?Will we return to Slice Masters? Very doubtful. When you raise your prices and skimp on ingredients, you'll probably not just lose us, you'll likely lose a lot of other formerly-loyal fans as well...

Slice masters had great pizza, however since DE Giovanni's bought the place they really don't have any flavor in their sauce. Where is the oregano? Ect I hope they bring back the original taste because it's just plain pizza.

Since we were last there, they changed their oven to a conveyor-style oven ala Papa John's and Pizza Hut. Absolutely cardboard-like crust. The taste was the same but the crust was disappointing. The reason they changed? The new oven speeds things up, they said. So... now where do I go?
