Slap Yo Mama

Saw some tiktoks on this place when looking up food to eat in Tampa and it had some decent reviews but this did not meet my expectations.They didn't have egg rolls when we came which sucked cause that's what we really wanted and that's always a disappointment. Their pricing is very expensive for what they offer if I'm being quite honest.I like that they had a sit down area by the food truck. My boyfriend and I didn't go in but we saw it while sitting outside in front. We ordered the bang bang shrimp which was good but this isn't bang bang shrimp.. at least not the way Ive had it lol and that mac... disappointing man. I know it had been sitting out for a minute and just reheated.. nah I don't like that.

Stopped by this food truck, Taco Tuesday $3 Tacos beef, shrimp, or chicken (not your traditional taco w/ lettuce or pico etc.) but very tasty. Flour tortillas litely grilled, I also tried the seafood egg rolls; you can get two or four. Many other items on the menu, the lobsters fries , wings, sides,drinks.

This is the best wing spot in Tampa, hands down! We lived in Atlanta for years and are wing snobs. This place checks off every box: not jumbo, cooked crispy, wetness from the sauce and amazing flavor. It was so good that we had it for lunch then went back and ordered again for dinner! Want to support local and small? Order wings from them you will not be bummed out!

Came here for a late bite and this place lives up to the hype! The service was great our meal was delivered to our car which was not expected and appreciated. The food was delish! Ordered Mama's Wings w/ BBQ ($14) which came with fries & Philly Cheese Steak Egg Rolls (8 piece for $13) with some Slap Yo Mama Punch ($4). *Insert Chefs Kiss*Pricey but I don't mind when the food is this good! Looking forward to coming again soon.

If you read the Google reviews, you will notice that this establishment repeatedly steals people's credit card information. They deceitfully claim to be open and accepting orders, only to later refuse to refund the money. This behavior is not surprising, given that the owners are already engaged in credit card theft. It is evident that they promptly remove any negative reviews here on Yelp, so I am uncertain how long this review will remain visible. I strongly advise you to choose a different restaurant to support, for your own benefit. At the end of the day I just want my money back..thankfully ordered through a credit card that I've now locked down and I'm disputing the charges.

The food was amazing!! The customer service was even better. The person who took our order was very friendly and patient. We didn't know what we wanted so he explained the menu to us in detail. It's a food truck but they have an indoor lounge next to the truck where you can sit inside and eat. The inside is very nice and clean with tables and chairs.

Expensive, gross, and long wait. Waited over 2 and a half hours for our food. Nice people. The burger was some kind of mystery meat it was 11.79, I wouldn't eat it if it was free. The wings were salty extremely salty. Philly cheesesteak eggroll was super greasy, it was dripping grease probably because there was hardly anything in it. The hibachi chicken fried rice was decent but definitely not worth 16.50. The fried shrimp and fish was decent but was soggy upon receiving. So were the fries. My sister said the lobster fries just had a bunch of sauce in it with no lobster. I can write a short story about how awful our experience and the food was but I won't. I will just make a suggestion: Do NOT sell food items then say you've run out. If you're going to have customers waiting over an hour for their food or over 2 1/2 hrs make sure the food is "slap yo mama" good. If the food is good we don't mind waiting, nor do we mind paying a lot, this place did not have good food. Wish we just got a refund when they said they ran out of Mac and cheese after we paid 2 1/2 hours earlier. Overall I was super excited to try this place, seen them on insta, looked them up on Yelp-- but it was a complete let down. Wasted $79. Maybe it was a bad day, I hope they just had a bad day.

I got this delivered and the service seemed fast. I was impressed by how quickly it got to me. I ordered the garlic parm wings and they were good. A little dry and wish they added more sauce to the wings but I wasn't too concern about that. The winner of the show would be the lobster Mac and Cheese. I loved the heck out of that pasta. I loved how creamy and flavorful it tasted. It truly hit the spot. The portion was generous and I truly recommend getting it. I can't comment on the ambiance because I ordered it from Uber Eats. Over all if you want some bomb Mac and Cheese, run folks and grab yourself some lobster macaroni.

Really enjoyed this meal! My coworker and I like trying out new eateries and we were referred so here we are -- We ordered a off the Specials menu. Lobster Fries, Philly Eggroll, Lobster Mac n Cheese, and the chocolate chip cookies. We ate inside. There were tables and couch options for seating. There was also a huge TV for entertaining. I liked all the seating options. It's a very unique setup for it to be a food truck and I loved that. There was also a decent amount of parking as the plaza isn't big nor busy. There was parking along the fence. Really easy to find.

The lobster fries, shrimp, and eggs rolls were good but the garlic parm wings and mac and cheese was dry and had no flavor. Once we placed the order it took about 35 minutes for it to be ready. It was good but kind expensive for the little food you get. The staff was friendly.
