I was there on Wednesday to celebrate a friend's birthday. There were 15 of us and our waiter Anthony did a fantastic job with service. It took longer than it should for the food and we were a little antsy near the end. Every dish we tried was yummy. There were no complaints. I'll def visit again.

The host wasn't very pleasant or accommodating but I don't want that interaction to take away from our experience at the Six. We didn't have reservations but the bar was open. We later found out from the bartender that the deck is also available for seating. We just had to order from the bar if we wanted food and drinks. Had no idea this was in the same location as the Beacon. Still provided a great view and the open seating/floor plan outside was wonderful. We came at a great time before they got real busy. The bartenders were absolutely amazing. They were quick and efficient. We didn't order much of the food since we had to head over to the Kat Williams show, but the food smelled amazing and the crab cake was delicious. I'll be sure to share more photos on my next visit!

was staying at JW this past week and wanted to try their hamburger. I ordered a medium burger from their menu and was told about 15 minutes. Bar tender was great as he asked if I wanted a water or something to drink while I waited. after 15 minutes he checked the kitchen and said it would be longer but no time given. 45 minutes later I was handed my food, it was a long week for me and I was already tired. I went back to my room to enjoy it and it was not a medium burger but a raw to rare burger. I only ate two bites and felt nauseous after a couple hours. I was too tired to bring it back down stairs and just ate a banana and apple I had left over from the night before.I would not recommend ordering from them when they were slammed with people. not all tables were full either that night but kitchen was slow.

We enjoyed a golden hour aperol spritz as a group! We intended to have a drink at beacon, but they were full. Six was a great backup option at the JW Marriott, appropriately on the sixth floor with views of the water and sunset. There were no servers at the outdoor tables, you had to order at the bar- which was HECTIC. This would be the only reason for 4/5 stars bs 5/5. The views/vibes were perfect! We also enjoyed some delicious fries with truffle aioli. A perfect golden hour moment for the girls!

Overpriced and underwhelming!I understand this restaurant is located in the JW Marriott; however, the food quality should match that same quality.1. $28 crab cakes - they are about an inch and a half in diameter for 2. Wow.2. $38 shrimp - 4 pieces - ok. 3. $29 "Little Gem Salad" - no, it was a $19 Caesar salad with an added $10 dried out piece of catering looking piece of chicken (you know, that little piece you get on the buffet line). A little gem salad is with the $19, this $29 salad was absolutely not.Total waste of money for less than mediocre food. There are plenty of better places to go in Tampa - save yourself!

Beautiful decor and great table service. The wait for the appetizers was quite long. However, the appetizers were delicious. The golden beet hummus is probably one of the best hummus flavors I've ever had and the bread was perfect. I've never had anything with the flavor combinations from the strawberry champagne tartine. The burger was okay. It was cooked well, but they were stingy with the amarillo ranch chimichurri so it didn't add much flavor. The burger felt like it was missing something.

Came up for a pre-dinner cocktail. Didn't like that we had to drink out of plastic if we sat outside. Cosmo was still good though. Otherwise all good. Place was empty on a Sunday night except for the large party in another area outside.

This was the perfect location to celebrate our anniversary. The food was absolutely amazing. The chic peas were a different texture for the traditional hummus. I didn't expect the crunchy texture. The shrimp and grits were seasoned well and the grits were fluffy. The waitress and manager were kind and engaging with us as they entertained all of our requests to make this moment special. The view was nice but I'm not a lover of the area in general so my thoughts are biased.

Ordered:Passionfruit Mule (~$17): Grey Goose vodka, Chinola passionfruit, and Fever Tree ginger beerSin Nombre (~$17): Jose Cuervo tequila, pineapple, Ancho Reyes chile liquor, and limeShrimp Cocktail (~$19): with horseradish aioli, caballero cocktail sauce, and lemonAhi Tuna Crudo (~$18): cucumber aguachile, prickly pear, kiwi, puffed rice, red onion, and blue corn chipsAya's take:We actually wanted to check out the Beacon instead (located on the 27th floor) but it wasn't open yet so we opted to try out Six. The decor and blue color profile here is lovely and even the view is great as we were able to grab a table by the windows. Both drinks we got weren't very good, in my opinion. They were too sweet and the flavors were clashing quite a bit. It wasn't really enjoyable to sip on or enjoy with the appetizers we ordered. The appetizers were a bit better. I liked the Shrimp Cocktail - especially the horseradish aioli and caballero cocktail sauce. I started dipping the chips from the other appetizer in there! The price is a bit much at ~$5/shrimp. The Ahi Tuna Crudo was nicely presented but the tuna didn't taste that fresh honestly and again, the flavor profiles just didn't make sense. There was just a lot going on. I thought I would like this one but wasn't really feeling it after a few bites. Nice views but I can see why it's not busy compared to the Beacon on the top floor.
