Just damn good! Pork chops which are perfectly seasoned, the cabbage is awesome and it is fresh leaves. The mac and cheese is decent but not the best. Last but not least the corn bread is tasty!

First, I want to say is the location is perfect!!!! I traveled to Bartow for business and remembered Public figure Tony Gaskin mentioning in a post from maybe around September 2016 "if you are ever in Bartow to try this place." Well, not the exact words but you get my point. The restaurant is nestled in the heart of downtown Bartow, very easy to get to. When my brother and I walked in, immediatelyI felt a homely nice vibe. The hostess was very welcoming and pleasant. She explained everything and also informed us the menu changes daily which I thought was interesting. I ordered the fried fish, eggs and grits and my brother ordered the grits, bacon and grits platter. We also ordered homemade strawberry lemonade and apple juice that were served in huge mason glasses. Oh my the food was AMAZING!!! Everything was fresh and well seasoned. Please don't hesitate, if you are interested in great homemade southern foods....try them!!! It's a must!

Excellent food, great service and wonderful atmosphere- the hours are limited, but this is worth the trip. The menu rotates, but the fried chops and baked chicken are excellent, greens are terrific and macaroni and cheese classic!

This is my first time visiting this restaurant. Let me start by saying that the owner greeted me and my colleagues at the door with a warm welcome to her business. She took the time to explain the menu and made some good suggestions. The best part about this establishment is they have more options for people who do not eat pork , like me and one of my colleagues. WOW! I have gone to many places in the county and most places only serve pork or have limited options. Everything was perfect! This will be my go to restaurant for me and my family when ever we are in Bartow. I highly recommend this business.
