Shorty's Breakfast & Gourmet Deli

Excellent on all fronts. Don't let the convenience store curb appeal deter you. It has a surprise for you on the back deck. My husband and I chose seats on the patio. It was 74 degrees at 10 am (January) and half the patio was in the sun and the rest was in the shade. The breeze was just enough to roll a straw off the table or blow away an untucked napkin, but we adjusted and really enjoy watching birds dive into the water looking for their breakfast. Tammy was our delightful and appreciative server. My choice was the Western Omelette - perfect portion and cooked well. It came with hash browns when were clearly homemade. Crispy and yet soft and yummy when you cut into it. My husband chose the Corn beef Hash. The meat was excellent, as I would expect for a small hole in the wall-like shop with an exceptional deli!! Perhaps my favorite part was the music-- Kansas, ELO, some of the best oldies easy listening around

Great service and a $6 Bloody Mary should make for a nice breakfast but the small portions left me unsatisfied and still hungry. My western omelette was no larger than a tortilla taco shell with hardly any ingredients. It was only about three bites! Decent potatoes and toast. Street parking and a fifty cent per egg surcharge which they were kind enough to tell us ahead of ordering not after getting the bill.

Went here last night before a Yelp event to enjoy a quick snack and a glass of wine. I was pleasantly surprised by the good reviews of this place . It is both a convenient store and eatery with a patio overlooking the bay. We sat down and were quickly helped with our order. We received the chicken wing appetizer and two glasses of wine. Both were good and the atmosphere was relaxing. They are known for their sandwiches but we didn't have one this time. We will have to come back and try them next time.

Stopped here for a quick bite and a drink. I was surprised at the variety that they offered. You can sit and enjoy some food or get convenience store items. The staff greeted me as I entered the building and were very friendly and helpful. I sat on the back patio overlooking the water. It was so peaceful. I got a glass of wine and enjoyed some buffalo chicken wings. It was a great experience and I look forward to coming back soon!

Shortysonthe deck is a nice place for breakfast on the water or inside lunch or dinner. Inside is a market to pick up sundries and well stocked. 1 bathroom for customers at the side.

We came here for breakfast after it came up as the first option on Apple map search. We weren't sure at first about the place as it stated it's a deli and store, but restaurant is at the back of the store and it turned out to be the best place we had breakfast along the coast during our trip. We sat on the deck and watched the pelicans. Coffee and omelets were very good as was the service and staff, especially our server was very kind and friendly.

This place is very unassuming from the outside. It's a mix of a party store with a kitchen in the back. This review is only for the breakfast portion of the menu.On the backside of the restaurant is the dock where they have a ton of outdoor seating. The staff was very friendly and the food was really good. We stumbled on this place when we were picking up beer and wine and I grabbed the carryout menu. The cashier said also take a breakfast one we serve all day. The menu says they use board head meats and the food was really good. I got a western omelette and the wife a cornbeef hash which was not heavy and really good. We had leftovers and will definitely be back. Don't let the out front appreciate guide you away they cook a mean breakfast. A really short walk along the deck for folks staying at the Marriott hotel. Keep an eye out for dolphins!

This hole in a wall will surprise you. This place reminds me of the bodegas back in Brooklyn. The cooks there were awesome. The African American gentleman was nice and took time to speak with us. We ask if they can fry up some fish we caught and they were more then willing to for a small fee ($10). He asked how we liked it prepared and we told him I want him to make it the way he would eat it and it did not disappoint. We got some of the mango snappers fried and some blackened. We also got a burger with bacon and fries as we waited. The fish came out amazing and the burger was juicy and cooked perfectly. There's a spot to dine inside or in the back patio overlooking the ocean. The prices here are the cheapest I seen and will defiantly go there again.

Tammy is amazing - and so is the food - breakfast and mimosas. Are amazing. Great sandwiches and fish! Super fresh
