Shang Hai

Picked up take out from Shang Hai for dinner and it was delicious! We called ahead to order and it was ready within 15-20 minutes. When we arrived, there were about 4 people also waiting for food, but the customer sever was super quick and friendly. We took the food home and the servings were huuuuggeee. My favorite were the dumplings and orange chicken!

Oh my, what has gone wrong here. Ordered Chicken Chow Mein and Wonton soup with a couple of egg rolls. Greasy, ho-hum Chow Mein and worse, the Wonton soup had what appeared to be over - cooked and over spiced chicken(?) filling!!! Yuk.If you're in a rush, on way home with nothing there to eat . . . JUST DON'T DO IT

My favorite dishes here are the Chow Mei Fun noodles and the Ma Po Tofu, both are delicious and they give you large portions at a decent price. The are thinner noodles, have curry flavor, and less oily than the Lo Mein. Mo po tofu has a great tasting sauce, goes best with some rice. Don't get the Eggroll, it's very bland and just not good even with the sweet and sour sauce. Orders take about 10min avg, 15 to 20min if there are other people in front of you. The only thing I don't like about coming here is the interior has poor ventilation, it gets smoky when they are cooking, it's better to call in your order then pick it up.

Not a bad place at all! I ordered the chicken and broccoli and it came out perfect! I forgot to get the pork fried rice like I usually do but the regular white rice was perfectly cooked. No complaints here.

We wanted to try a new Chinese restaurant for delivery and ordered through Uber eats. I don't normally give bad reviews but I had to review this order. I ordered over $100 worth of food. Only the egg drop soup and wonton soup had any flavor. The two entrees,Beef Chop Suey and Moo Goo Gai Pan had zero flavor, had to try and add some flavor myself. Both were gelatinous and bland. The Vegetable fried rice, bbq spare ribs and crab Rangoon were so so. Felt bad was way over charged for what I received.

We usually always get our Chinese Take Out from Ling Express which we LOVE but thought we would give Shanghai a try based on reviews and the fact that I was going to that shopping plaza anyway. Not impressed with Shanghai.General Tso Chicken- Was OK but very sweet with no spice at all.Pork Fried Rice- Rice itself was odd as it was a fake yellow in color, pork was plentiful and yummy in the rice but they should just skip the nasty frost bit veggies they throw in there.House lo mein- Was full of meat and delicious, definitely the highlight of this meal and would get their lo mein again as it was so good just a little over salty.Crab Rangoon- Were not crunchy at all....tasted stale actually like they were cooked hours ago and reheated. Also I am used to a sweet taste in the feeling....theirs had no crab and no sweetness or flavor, just tasted like melted cream cheese.In the future we will definitely stick to Ling Express.

We ordered pick up they said ten minutes it took me 5 to get their I walked in at the 10 minute mark the food was ready I paid and left I got home and they food was very soggy they honey chicken was like a sponge and the Rangoon was not crispy at all wasn't happy with anything we ordered

The food is trash and over cooked , rice is burnt. I wouldn't recommend you eating here

My family have been ordering from Shang Hai since moving to Brandon 2005.Like everyone - they've had ups and downs. But recently the food is greasy and the facility dirty.We've found another place to order . . . .

Last night my family and I ordered from this restaurant. We ordered 2 dinner combos of General Tso's chicken & 1 dinner combo of sesame chicken and 2 sodas, totally $40.42. Today I brought in my leftovers for lunch at work. As I was eating, I choked on & spit out a sharp piece of metal. I called the restaurant & was initially asked to bring in the rest of the food & they would only refund me for the 1 order of General Tso's chicken. After explaining that I was not going to inconvenience myself after finding metal in MY food from THEIR restaurant, I was told they would refund me the entire amount. At first they were going to mail it, then asked me for my bank account information so they could send it to me. I declined to provide that information over the phone, especially to someone who has metal in their food?? After about 10 calls back and forth, they finally asked for the information to Zelle it to me & only sent $37 because they refused to include the 2 sodas in the refund amount. Talk about petty & totally unprofessional & not to mention having zero disregard for the patrons of their restaurant. If this had been my child who choked on metal, I would've gone to the news. Reconsider ordering from here or else it could be you eating metal without a care in the world from anyone at this establishment or the products they're serving their customers.
