My husband and I had to find out if this place was as good as all the reviews say it is. We went on a Thursday for lunch. The restaurant had a very Mardi Gras vibe to it with its vibrant purple and gold colors. We were seated immediately and had a very nice hostess and server. Since we were new in town we asked for recommendations. The server was very helpful. I ordered the Fresh Grouper blackened with hush puppies and corn and potatoes. The Grouper was cooked to perfection, very moist and flaky and the seasoning was not too spicy at all, just bursting with flavor. I LOVE hush puppies and these did not disappoint at all. They were crispy on the outside and just right in the inside with the right amount of flavor. The small corn on the cob was also very good. The serving was above average and I was not able to eat the potatoes and I had a little fish and hush puppies left over. My husband ordered the Catfish Lousianne (blackened)and he loved it and ate it all. It was smothered with Crawfish Etouffee that tasted amazing. He also ordered the Jalapeno cornbread that was pleasantly satisfying with just a hint of jalapeno and baked with just the right amount of crispiness. We will definitely go back to try more menu items. Unfortunately we were too full to try their desserts which looked appealing.

Carlos from Scallop Adventures recommended this place to me while I was out swimming with a few manatees. I'm glad he did--and even more glad that I took his advice. This spot has a fun, lively vibe, a popular fish market, and some seriously good food. It was packed around 5 p.m. but started to calm down a bit by 6. Definitely a happening place. Now, let's talk about the good, the bad, and the crab cakes. First, kudos to our server Jason, Let's just call him "Awesome," because he was excellent. The not-so-great part? The hostess and the woman juggling sales and bartending. That whole interaction was... less than pleasant. On to the food: We shared the crab cakes and grilled fresh Florida grouper, along with mashed potatoes and jambalaya. The crab cakes? Phenomenal. Generous chunks of high-quality lump crab, minimal filler, perfectly balanced flavors--the kind that lets the sweet, delicate crab meat shine. The grouper was fresh and thick, grilled simply to highlight its mild, slightly sweet flavor. It had a nice firm texture, though it was a tiny bit overdone. Still delicious. The jambalaya? Packed with flavor. The mashed potatoes? Creamy and comforting. To drink, I had an Old Fashioned with a smoky twist--solid cocktail. All in all, a great stop. Simple, fun, and well worth the visit. Thanks, Carlos!

While the rest of our Scout troop was working on their scuba certifications, we two chaperones who were already certified divers got a recommendation from the scuba shop, and went for lunch at the Seafood Seller & Café. The restaurant was packed when we arrived, but the wait for a table was surprisingly short. My buddy ordered the chicken sandwich and a coke, while I got the soft shelled crab dinner with a jambalaya side and an unsweetened tea, plus a stuffed mushroom appetizer to share. Before tax and tip, our bill totaled $49.50, which felt appropriate given what we ordered.Given how crowed the restaurant was, we expected our food to take forever, but the stuffed mushrooms came out pretty quickly. Although not huge, we found them to be good sized, tender, and well-stuffed with deliciousness. After a surprisingly short wait (their kitchen staff had to be hopping in order to cook and plate so many meals that quickly!), our lunches arrived and they looked really good! My fellow scuba diver described his chicken sandwich as being juicy and delicious, while my soft shelled crab looked like it had molted that morning, been plucked out of the ocean and then cleaned, battered, fried up and delivered straight to me! Additionally, the jambalaya side was thick, rich, and absolutely delicious! Completing our meal was the very good service we received from Elani, who checked-in with us often (despite having a ton of tables), and kept our drinks refilled.PROS: very good to excellent food, descent portions, attentive serviceCONS: no real issues, as good food is not cheap!Overall, we rated Seafood Seller & Café as being Very Good and would definitely return the next time we are in the area!

We went there for lunch today. It was very busy and there was about a half hour wait. The girls that greeted us were very polite and friendly. Once seated our waitress was greeted us and was very friendly. Out cocktails came quickly as well as our appetizer. Seared Ahi Tuna. Which was a perfect start to our meal. I had the Key pink shrimp fried with fried over and pork n beans with rice. My wife had a cacadia. Both dishes were delicious!! To finish our waitress was very attentive always checking in to make sure everything was okay! If in the area definitely a great place to visit!

The food here is amazing. I went with a group and got to sample a few bites from other plates and everything was divine! I got the blackened grouper sandwich topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, grilled mushroom and chalula hot sauce. This dish also included a side and I went with the jambalaya. It was great. The blue crab cake balls were really good also and the side of sauce really made the dish even better. The collard greens, gator & crawfish Mac n cheese and mahi mahi are other items I sampled that I would suggest to anyone. The service was really good as well. The server was in training but she has a coworker there to assist with everything which was very helpful. Very friendly staff, community and veteran supportive business. Seafood Seller & Cafe is a must visit if in the area.

A seafood joint in a strip mall but was recommended by the locals. They didn't steer us wrong. It was delicious!!! Best Mahi Tacos I've had in a long time. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered and we were stuffed when we left. Good flavors, clean and friendly atmosphere.

We hit this place up after a day of kayaking with manatees. It looks unimpressive as it's buried in a strip mall. Long wait but totally worth it! It has a New Orleans vibe and I would argue the food is as good as any seafood you would find there. We had crab cakes that were legit lump backfin meat. The grouper was huge and blackened to perfection. The mahi tacos were also amazing. We were so excited when the food arrived that I only got a photo of the one lone taco at the close of our chow down. Don't leave without an order of beignets even if you have to take them to go. So glad we ate here.

Best crab cake in life. Seriously best seafood / Cajun / Creole I have had in years.Unassuming place in a strip mall. There was a 45 to an hour wait on a Sunday night, and I assumed simply cuz this small town did not seem to have many options and this was the only game in town. As I waited and saw the number of people at the bar drinking Bud and Bud light, again I had low expeditions.BEST FOOD IN YEARS! The crab cake was large lumps and reminiscent of a high-end high-fallutin' hotel in Savannah Georgia where the crab cakes cost almost twice as much. Along with a crab cake, I love the fact that the jambalaya is available as a side as well as a main dish. This way you can get your little jambalaya rice as well as trying other options. The greens were done right with some meat in it for seasoning. My rum cocktail was wonderful. Never tried Pilar rum before but good.Service was super friendly and efficient. Mardi Gras Decor was as expected for a New Orleans theme. I wonder if restaurants in New Orleans have that purple green and gold decor year-round? I ate too much, and by the time the cheesecake and beignets showed up I was too full to properly enjoy them. This place is so good, at times My wife has said she wants me to drive her 2 hours just to go eat that crab cake! They deserve the crowd of folks showing up.

Wonderful cafe. Starting with the menu, there is a great variety of items. We loved that some items have a cajun flare. I ordered the blackened grouper sandwich with slaw; everything about it was quality. Fresh grouper, quality bun and toppings. My husband ordered crawfish po boy and red beans. He loved both and said he could make a meal of just the beans (which have andouille). I was especially impressed by the staff; they were friendly, attentive to helping each other with cleaning. Our server, Duke, was fabulous. I feel these are always a good signs of a well run establishment. We will be definitely be back.
