Sawadee Thai Food

So I am a bit late with this review but we did enjoy the food. It was my first experience with Thai food and I was a bit reluctant at first. We encountered this particular food truck at an event at Ridge Community High School and I thought it an odd choice but we decided to give them a try. After reviewing the menu we spoke to the gentleman working the outside about the offerings. He explained that everything is made to order and we could special order however we wanted based on what they had available. We ordered the Thai Sweet and Sour with chicken and an order of Thai Egg Rolls. The first thing you have to realize is that is is all quite different from what most of us are used to when we get Chinese food in this country. There is some similarity and yet they are very different. You can choose the level of heat you want with this food. We went mild as I was sharing with my children. The food had wonderful flavor and we ate all of it between 3 of us. We each got an egg roll and they were also very different from what we were used to and they were fabulous. One of the big things for me is that it made me want to try more offerings from food trucks as they can offer more variety than most restaurants over time. Menus may be limited but the trucks I have tried from seem to all take a lot of pride in what they serve. Given the opportunity I would try more from this one. The food was awesome and the people working it were friendly and very helpful.

This food truck was at the bok tower gardens for the plant and garden festival. Decided to give this place a try. I ordered a chicken pad thai. I asked for mild spice. I received my order about 20 minutes later. There was a clump of hot chili paste on some of the noodles. It was spicy. They threw the hot sauce on and didn't mix it. I have had better Thai food. It was ehhh for food truck. Had better quality pad Thai elsewhere for sure. I was super hungry though so I ate the majority of the pad Thai except for the clumps of noodles that had the hot chili paste.

Went over to Florida Polytechnic with my daughter simply because this truck was here. We grabbed food to take home. Between us, we got Pad Thai, Pad Se Ew, fresh rolls and spring rolls. Friends of hers also got boba tea and Thai tea. Her friends were pleased with the flavor of the drinks, but the boba could have been just a bit more done. Spring rolls were very good - light and crisp, and the sauce was flavorful - both sharp and sweet. We ate these on the way home. Super good. Wished I have gotten another order!Pad Thai was great - got, just the right amount of spice. My daughter was very pleased with it. Pad Se Ew - I had to fight my youngest daughter for his, once she got a taste. Very flavorful and good. I got medium heat. Was perfect. I put it over the jasmine rice. Really good. Vegetables were crisp and the chicken was very good. I was really happy with it. Fresh rolls are usually one of my wife's favorite things, I brought these home to her. This was the weak point of our experience. I'm used to krab, shrimp or chicken in these, but was just a ton of carrot and lettuce. Just too much carrot, really. Would have liked some vermicelli and meat in these. Overall, solid 4, which isn't bad for a food truck. Some people said it took a long time to get their food in previous reviews but we had everything in less than 10 minutes which seemed fine for fresh, burning hot food.

This food truck is on the Floriland Food Truck schedule. I love Thai food so I'm not sure what took me so long to try it. I'm glad I did though! The chicken pad Thai is amazing! They do no put any spice on your food. They leave it to you. The older I get, the wimpier I get so it didn't take a lot for me. The portion is generous and the noodles had just enough sauce. The chicken pad Thai is $9.50 by itself. The lunch special includes an egg roll and drink for $2 more. I really like Thai egg rolls, but I was not in love with the one I had from this truck. It was a little on the dry side. Next time around, I'll skip it. My coworker had the green curry. It looked and smelled delicious! She said she is not crazy about Thai food, but she had nothing but good things to say. I may try that next time around. I love curry. Give this food truck a try if you like Thai!

I can only speak on the egg rolls and Thai boba tea BUT both were delicious!! I keep reading everyone's complaints on the wait but *real* food takes time- come on people! The couple is ridiculously friendly and so proud of their work. I saw the wife wrapping my eggrolls up and frying them on the spot soooo I'll take the small wait any day over previously made food! I'm also really impressed with their online ordering system. I was able to order my items and pay with ease. The system texts you when they're working on it, and texts you again when it's ready. Since this is during my lunch time, I really appreciate being able to skip the line. Plus, you can order & pick up asap, or schedule a pick up for when you're actually ready. I highly recommend that method to everyone complaining about the minor wait. ;)

This food truck has been to my apartment complex several times and the times I have had it. I have never been disappointed. There's always a line and the owners are super friendly! They always talk to all of us and always makes sure they get your order right. The prices are a little higher than a local Thai restaurant but it's normal for a food truck..The food is pretty good, the last time I had their drunken noodles. The noodles were the perfect amount of spice and were very filling. My friend has their pad Thai and they also enjoyed their dish, they asked for a medium spice and thought their dish was actually really spicy. They also got the crab Rangoon which was really yummy!!!I can't wait to have them come back so I can try more dishes!!!

I tried Sawadee for the first time when they were parked at my work a few weeks ago. No wonder this truck had the longest line out of the 4 that were there! The chicken pad thai was wonderful. Even though the line was long it only took about 5 minutes to get my food. The combo, with drink and egg roll, was $10 - not bad at all. I had the option of mild, medium or spicy. The medium spice was perfect. The portion was so big that I had enough for lunch and dinner. They also had all the condiments available that you could ever think of - duck sauce, soy sauce, etc. I hope they are back soon!

Delicious food truck I had the opportunity to try at a Fourth of July celebration in the community where my brother lives and it was amazing. The pad Thai was great as were the rangoons. The bubble tea topped everything! The flavor was amazing and the boba were perfect. Even if you've never tried Thai food, this is an amazing food truck to try.

Waited 20 minutes for my order, and there was only 3 people ahead of me. I ordered the Pad Thai with pork. The noodles were dry, and truthfully, I couldn't tell if I was eating chicken or pork. Usually they are so much better than this.

About a 20 min wait since they were the only food truck around in an office park with limited options. Was it worth the wait? I would have to say no but it was OK. I thought the drunken noodles were too oily. But I liked the basil flavor and the spice level was fine for me, though I'm not sure if they can customize to your desired level. It's advertised as being medium hot but it didn't even seem that spicy. They have a few traditional dishes but I would have liked to have seen more options. I would return if the line is small and possibly the quality would be better.
