Awesome variety & food selection's at this Sansa Farmers Market. There is plenty of parking available as the establishment has its own parking lot which is pretty spacious. So much to look at and choose from and really great prices compared to other grocers/markets in the area. Sanwa has so many fresh options that you may become obsessed with this location. Awesome service and friendly cashiers/receptionists here at Sanwa Farmers Market. If ever in the area I suggest Sanwa Farmers Market if shopping for produce/meats at great prices!

A friend told me about this place when we went to Thinh An Kitchen. The two not exactly close -:)Most items there are bulk but they also sells to individual shoppers like us. Two young ladies dressed to the T with thin high heels, an interesting sight. The 5lb Korean red chili pepper flakes is $23. The Turkish bread is yummy, so is the orange pepper habanero

When it comes to finding non-local produce and/or products that are indigenous to other countries for a reasonable price in Tampa, Sanwa Farmers Market is your one stop shop. They have a large and diverse variety of fruits and vegetables, meats and seafood, as well as products that you may not find at your neighborhood Publix. The prices also make the shopping experience even more enjoyable. Although it is a bit of a drive for me, I would say it's worth it if you are looking for specialty products.

Located on W. Hillsborough this wholesale/retail warehouse type store is huge. Prices vary depending on whether you own a business and are buying in bulk versus the individual such as myself.Their fruit and vegetable area is massive and has the best assortment in all Tampa. The meat area is also very large but the origin and quality is questionable. In meats there are both fresh and frozen items. Frozen seafood is available, a large variety of items but no fresh seafood. Also the veggy, seafood, and meat areas are refrigerated so a jacket is helpful. The dairy area is also extensive and well stocked. Other areas include beverages, latino and asian canned and bottled goods, paper, plastic and foam goods in bulk including bags, utensils, plates, aluminum pans, cups in a variety of shapes and sizes.

We have been shopping at Sanwa for many years and go 2/3 times a month. We are able to get some Asian produce/products that are not carried at typical groceries. It is primarily a wholesale grocer that caters to small businesses/restaurants, caterers etc, but sells to the public as well. We usually go early morning weekdays after dropping the kids at school. That's when it is least crowded and the other shoppers are generally chefs and the like. It's very relaxed. I've been forced to go in the evening/at the weekend a few times and avoid that if at all possible. We go mostly for the produce, as it is much cheaper than supermarkets and has many more obscure options, though occasionally you're there before their delivery arrives and some options are passed their prime, especially the fruit. If you can find someone, they are quite helpful to see what they have in the back, but you might need to go up front to get a human. I've been plateaued with the frozen seafood and often buy cases which I then vacuum seal myself(if they aren't already).
